So why should Platz supperior legs beat Columbo's supperior upper body? Or Padilla who had a flawless shape but couldn't get dry beat Columbo? Who are you to judge what imperfection beats another imperfection? Are you an IFBB judge? Were you at the show? How many years are you in bodybuilding? 9:05 - So I knew Arnold started his prep at around 200 lbs after Stay Hungry. He stepped on stage at around 225lbs, down from his best by 10lbs (according to his book "Education of a Bodybuilder.") What I didn't know is that he first "bulked up" and then proceeded to cut back down again! I was under the impression he only had a couple of months to prepare for the show, so this is a pretty radical procedure to get back into top form!

Finally I found some footage in that office! I was in that exact office in July 2015 when the Weider building still had the Lion starues on either side of the entrance doors and the building was up for sale. The building is on a corner lot in Woodland Hills California and I contacted the realtor as though I was interested in purchasing the building and the realtor came out to the property and gave me a tour of the building. It was the summer of 2015 and Joe's office was still intact same floor, same blinds same everything! The bathroom had the 70's wallpaper in it and original everything. I worked for a company on the same side of the street just four doors down. Eventually the lions at the entrance were removed and anything Weider related was removed. The realtor at one point even mentioned Betty by name. It was incredible being in the building and Joe's office with all of the history that took place there. I don't work for the company anymore but I often wonder what happened to the building.

Some interesting things here. For one, Joe was legitimately worried Lou might beat Arnold. Joe started the Olympia . . . and maybe should be unbiased as to the outcome, but Arnold is one of his contract athletes. It flies in the face of those saying the contest was rigged. In the eight years I was involved, I always felt the placements were accurate. In the late 90's, I asked Joe what his favorite time in bodybuilding was. He paused longer than I thought he would, and then said it was the time Arnold beginning to develop as an icon.
