- In today's video I will be scrapping a 1/6 HP Sump Pump. How much copper is inside? I do a lot of scrapping and melting metal. In this video, because of the weather, I'll be in the garage scrapping the copper. I hope you enjoy the video. Make sure to check out some of my other videos as well.

Thanks for watching the video. I hope you enjoyed it. Make sure to subscribe to see when I melt this copper down. 👍
hows the oil mess 🙃 ? Too bad you didn't know about that. On my virgin "first" I didn't know it either...but know just genle cut with a grinder and let it dip overnight 😉
other thing....the wire is definately COPPER (check again) but tin coated - I am 100% sure!!
@@DragonAtelier I'll check the wire again, but either way I wouldn't melt it because of the coating. Yeah now that it happened I'm going to drill any kind of pump to make sure there is no oil.
Another great video!!! Love watching tear down videos. First tool of engineering: If it won’t come apart, or go together, get a hammer. Second rule of engineering: If it still won’t come apart, or go together, get a bigger hammer. Stay safe.
Get a bigger hammer 🔨🔨🔨🔨🔨 😎
Smart cleanup. Please do more videos like this. I love picking up little scrapping tips.
Also, bigger hammer is the way to go.
Yeah buddy! I've got a few more things in the garage that need scrapping. 😉
Great scrap out video
Thank you sir 👍
Great stuff buddy. Crazy how much is packed inside that little thing. I would have never guessed.
Thanks Steve 👍👍. It is crazy! Such a little winding can generate power to pump fluid.
Great video
Thank you Jimmy 🙏
3:00 It's like a slasher movie! 🤣
I should have added some sound effects lol
nice video as always!
Thanks again! 👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice teardown man. That first wire you cut into actually is copper. It is “tinned” copper. Nice little score of copper. Great job!
Thanks bro! Interesting that's it's tinned copper. Not enough for me to save 🤔
@@HeinrichsMade mix it with the rest of the copper. 🤦♂
@@Scrap2Cast then it won't be pure
@@HeinrichsMade None of the copper we melt is pure after its casted. By melting it, we are introducing oxidation to the metal. Just melt it with your #2 copper and be on your way. No point in not saving it just because it's worth a few cents cheaper than #1.
Nyce
🔥🔥👍
Now that was a little messy. I usually strip anything with a motor but I’m going to pass on the sump pumps. 😂
Yeah man 😂😂. The fans I do don't have oil. I wonder why sump pumps have oil. Next time, I'll drill a hole in it to check.
No esperaba ese aceite🤯
Me either 😩😩😩😩
when all else fails ............... beat the crap out of it .... works every time ,, ask the folks in the orchestra
Yeah, no doubt hahah. 1 stripped screw changes everything 🤣🤣🤣
@@HeinrichsMade honestly for scrapping , i use a hammer as much as anything
@@dukenukem001 true! I just don't like plastic flying all over my garage 😂. But yes, it's much quicker.
Bro, just a random. Catalytic converters. Lol
HI
lol ... funk ... try saying it wen your puff..n
😂
That's not fun
No lol it wasn't. Now I know on these types of motors to drill a hole to check.
@@HeinrichsMade remember to do it over a drain pan
@@charleslatre1436 lol omg, definitely!
