Most likely the impeller is SS excellent video thank you for sharing this with us six stars brother
I will check that out today, could be brass too.
That top piece has a sticker that says GOULDS. In my hometown GOULDS is a Discount Medical supply company. Go figure. 🐎✌️
Not bad! Yes, good payday! 9 - 12 $ in 1/4 hour, average $10.50/hour = $42/hour. Enjoy your videos, watching from Tahiti.
and the rest is short iron
Thanks for the video. I knew you could do it 👐 See ya on the next one 👍
not many bolts, just getting the aluminum end off. it had a spring lock on the inside I pulled the lock pin and a spring pushed it apart
Just when you think it’s loose there’s another screw 🤣. 🐎✌️
always
When you started unbolting it, I was thinking "Oh, no...he's going to make a mess!" 😂 I've done a couple and learned the same way! 🤪
lol, I should have put the bolts back in and drained it, don't get many of these
Nice heavy bit of material/cheers Scrapbongo
think I will get out and unbolt the bottom and see what is in it
Our yard says short steel is 22x22x22. Thanks for sharing.
That's funny how every yard is different. Mine is 5'x4'x2'. 😂👍
yeah, I think it is all about how their buyer want's it
the buyer that the yards sell dictates how big they want it, and it may be who they sell it to
Don't worry about that oil that much it's just vegetable oil So it doesn't contaminate water systems if fail
o ok, I should have opened it over my barrel then I could have used it in the waste oil burner
Great video
Thanks for the visit
Great vid.
thank you
There's a hole underneath that sleeve you could have used a Allen ranch
Man I had to turn the A/C down to about 70 just watching you sweat.
It's been really hot and humid here in Daytona Beach too.
Always a pleasure and as always I enjoyed stopping by.
as you can see I am outside under the shade tree
Seems hard to use the words "nice" and "sewage" in the same sentance.
I'm really interested And how much money you can recover from that Pump Breaking it down the way you did And what horse power was that on the Stainless steel tag I got about fifteen of those pumps at home That are dead
lot's of cast iron in them, the impeller looks to be cast iron too, but some can be stainless or brass, so it would be good to check, I will have to look at the tag, but I bet that it has about 4 lbs. of copper
@Okiescrapper Wow I figured you get a little bit more copper than that My scrap yard offered me eighteen cents a pound for the pumps I'll probably go with that Instead of trying to rip them apart 😅. Also i've been Holding on To my copper for so long I forgot Can you sneek That Copper windings in with number one copper?
That's a big ol stinky piece of steel for just a few pounds of copper, boy.
yeah, lot's of cast iron
You ut was a good video
Thank you
Impeller - separate pump from motor
I opened it up and the impeller looks to be cast iron
Impeller May be brass
looks to be cast iron, but I will get out and put a magnet to it
Такой насос после перемотки за 20ку у нас легко ушел бы .
If its a pump is there no brass or bronze piece in the bottom
I will have to check that out, it may be all cast, but could be brass or stainless
@@Okiescrapper the reason i know is i scrapped out simulair things from ships there is a propellor like thing inside that spins around thats what makes the water move
@@harryverboom4032 I opened it up yesterday and it looks to be a cast iron impeller, all rusty, I will take a magnet to it today to make sure,
@@Okiescrapper put a grinder on it to be sure because aluminium-bronze is also a bit magnetic and if its just steel it was worth to give it a shot
Is there a good chance that the impeller is brass?
it could be I will have to check that out
