I did a scrapping video in the past on the cat food cans. Today it's time to do the lids. I hope you enjoy the video. Make sure to check out some of my other videos as well.

Massive Cat Food Can Lid Melt -Scrapping Cat Food Can Lids
Wow, great demo, I'll definitely think twice about using can metal for making castings after seeing this! 😉
Hahah yeah man 👍. I definitely didn't think there would be so much. It's actually even worse than melting aluminum cans.....
Great video. A decent amount of good aluminum for a 💩 ton of dross. Experimentation is a necessity when you don’t know what will happen or what you got. And now we know. Great job.
Yeah I was very surprised. I did the cans a while ago and saved all the lids. I don't remember the cans being this bad. I actually thought the lids would be much better. Now I know. And yeah it's always good to experiment
Nice job on the melt. Shame there was sooooooo much slag from those cans. I liked the part on the last pour where that long flap of aluminum didn't want to come off the crucible. Great job as always my friend! 👊
Thanks bro! I know right? I didn't expect that much slag. The tops look like it would be a better melt than the cans itself. Boy was I wrong?.
That was a lot of dross😐. But now you got some nice pure aluminum ingots!! That last ingot was a stubborn one, didn’t want to come out😅. Great video buddy!! Keep up the good work!!🔥🔥🔥
heck yeah it was, totally unexpected. Yeah now I have aluminum ingots to use in my electric furnace. You know all about the ingot stubbornness haha. Thanks!
I wouldn't have guessed that much slag would have been produced.
Yeah me either, it's pretty crazy! I expected the lids to be better then the cans, but was I wrong 😂
Your cat must be living like a king getting all that food that you can melt all those lids.😂 Good video.
Thanks bro! Actually these are from my parents 🤣🤣. I don't feed my cat wet food.
It is crazy how these come out like a big block! I am always fascinated by your videos. That was a lot of cat food lids! LOL. We have farm/barn cats and i feed them soft cat food as treats once in a while. Cans can add up fast without you realizing it! When you are pouring into the blockmaker thing it reminds me of the superhero Silver Surfer. I do not know why! Enjoyed as always.
Thanks bro! Yes they can... My mother has outside cats. That's where I got the cans from. They add up so quickly, and they don't crush like soda cans. I'm thinking I might take them off her hands and bring them to the Scrap yard for 💲. Yeah sometimes the flowing metal into the ingot is so cool to watch. I definitely see how it reminds you of silver surfer 🤣
Well, now we know: cat good cans are a lot of work. Heinrichs out here doing the dirty work. XD
Yeah, here I am doing all the dirty work 😂😂😂
Nice bars!
Thanks you sir 👍
That was a lot of dross😂🤠👍
I know it's crazy! I didn't think there would be so much
Must be all that white lining on the inside of the cans.
Hey Dori! It must have been! I actually thought these would be better than cans. No way!
So all that effort and you got a just over a dollar worth of aluminum ?
Lol yeah 🤣🤣 definitely a waste. I'll be taking these to the Scrap yard next time. However, I have a clean bar of aluminum to re-melt and make something out of. 👍
Dear God, so much dross. Good amount of aluminum though.
You're telling me .. so much dross 😱. Good aluminum, but there was more dross then there was good aluminum.
More Slag than good aluminum... that's awful!!!
Omg I know!!!
