I did a scrapping video in the past on the cat food cans. Today it's time to do the lids. I hope you enjoy the video. Make sure to check out some of my other videos as well.

Wow, great demo, I'll definitely think twice about using can metal for making castings after seeing this! 😉

Hahah yeah man 👍. I definitely didn't think there would be so much. It's actually even worse than melting aluminum cans.....

Great video. A decent amount of good aluminum for a 💩 ton of dross. Experimentation is a necessity when you don’t know what will happen or what you got. And now we know. Great job.

Yeah I was very surprised. I did the cans a while ago and saved all the lids. I don't remember the cans being this bad. I actually thought the lids would be much better. Now I know. And yeah it's always good to experiment

Nice job on the melt. Shame there was sooooooo much slag from those cans. I liked the part on the last pour where that long flap of aluminum didn't want to come off the crucible. Great job as always my friend! 👊

Thanks bro! I know right? I didn't expect that much slag. The tops look like it would be a better melt than the cans itself. Boy was I wrong?.

That was a lot of dross😐. But now you got some nice pure aluminum ingots!! That last ingot was a stubborn one, didn’t want to come out😅. Great video buddy!! Keep up the good work!!🔥🔥🔥

heck yeah it was, totally unexpected. Yeah now I have aluminum ingots to use in my electric furnace. You know all about the ingot stubbornness haha. Thanks!

I wouldn't have guessed that much slag would have been produced.

Yeah me either, it's pretty crazy! I expected the lids to be better then the cans, but was I wrong 😂

Your cat must be living like a king getting all that food that you can melt all those lids.😂 Good video.

It is crazy how these come out like a big block! I am always fascinated by your videos. That was a lot of cat food lids! LOL. We have farm/barn cats and i feed them soft cat food as treats once in a while. Cans can add up fast without you realizing it! When you are pouring into the blockmaker thing it reminds me of the superhero Silver Surfer. I do not know why! Enjoyed as always.

Thanks bro! Yes they can... My mother has outside cats. That's where I got the cans from. They add up so quickly, and they don't crush like soda cans. I'm thinking I might take them off her hands and bring them to the Scrap yard for 💲. Yeah sometimes the flowing metal into the ingot is so cool to watch. I definitely see how it reminds you of silver surfer 🤣

Lol yeah 🤣🤣 definitely a waste. I'll be taking these to the Scrap yard next time. However, I have a clean bar of aluminum to re-melt and make something out of. 👍
