i don't know if its just me, but the original titanium looks more premium as the black can come off as looking like any ol plastic watch, don't get me wrong its stunning but the silver will always look like some sort of metal unmistakably giving it a more expensive look
After having the ultra 2 satin Black for a month and after reading all of these different comments regarding colour I will say this for sure. There is no right or wrong no matter what you will buy- eventually both colours in certain view angles specially under light ,looks sometimes cheap and sometimes more premium than the other and the same goes with the bands. In the dark and especially in the night it’s much more easy to recognise the natural titanium rather than the black satin although in daytime I find myself admiring the premium dark shades of the black ultra two. If you want to show off your premium watch under any circumstances then I believe you’re a person that would get the natural titanium rather than black satin, but if you are person that is wearing a lot of blacks or you want more measured appearance go for black. Of course let’s not forget the fact that the black it’s totally fresh colour and completely new product and no matter what people know and people can recognise it’s a premium watch and it’s the new ultra especially with the two orange buttons .It wasn’t an easy choice for me as well, and if you ask me if I had more money, I would have bought both. In the end, I decided to get the fresh option of Black and it helped me a lot the fact that I had the silver Apple Watch eight model before so i wanted something different.
I love both but the natural titanium in my opinion is more “watch” more solid the impression when you look it…the black is very nice but too similar to others watch as amazon watches, etc
I'm always a fan of Ultra and now updated mine in black. I wish they released black from the start, it suits me well since I usually dress in darker tone and I have small wrists. I do agree that the original color is more versatile.
I just got the black. Upgraded from the OG. I love both! I miss the natural and most of my bands match this, but….may stick with the black for a change. I do think that the natural is the more dressy watch though. What do others think?
The black is a good look, but I would go natural titanium all the way. I had a black aluminum series 3 and a midnight aluminum cellular series 7. They looked classy, but I felt band pairing was more difficult than with a silver. I now have a natural titanium series 10, since the ultra was not updated except for the black color which I wasn’t looking for.
Regardless of the case, the AW Ultra 2 could look much better if the display didn't have this large black border. For this reason, I only use watch faces with a black background color. I hope that Apple will do better in the next version.
The updated Starlight aluminum color option will have the same color as the Natural Titanium Apple Watch Ultra coming in the launch of the Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch SE 3 in 2025.
About the Ultra 2 milanese loop: I want to know how well it breathes during cardio/endurance exercises and sleeping. Also, where should the lock part be so it doesn't scratch laptop when I use it? Short slack on the side of the wrist, double over, or centered in between? I wonder if it is double over, would you notice a difference during an arm sweaty workout.
Can compare the gold of the titanium series 10 and gold of Apple Watch Series 4/5 in stainless steel and the series 6,7,8 and 9 in gold, stainless steel?
Went to see it in person and the black one was permanently scratched. I mean it was the demo version but a permanent scratch that doesn’t make me feel like it’s gonna sustain too much regular scratches furthermore The natural titanium can be polished. The black titanium cannot be polished as it will show the natural titanium below it.
I currently wear a silver aluminum Series 8 but recently noticed black/midnight watches on other people's hands and thought they looked more elegant or at least inconspicuous. But I am now considering getting the Ultra 2 and this is not a watch that wants to stay inconspicuous. It's big, bulky and attracts attention. And I feel like there are a lot more color options that pair well with the natural titanium than the black one. So I think I will get the natural titanium :) Except then it won't match my phone, which I intend to get in black, but... who cares? My current argument is that hey are different devices for different purposes. The watch is part fashion accessory and the back of my phone I never ever see personally. But this is the single downside that currently holds me back from deciding the color, even though I lean more to the natural titanium watch. Anyone else having the same dilemma? :)
Hi Juan, great video, as always! Speaking of Ultra 2 colour comparison, I would like to ask you about the watch faces and in particular the clear ones; I'm thinking about the black frame between the case and the display and how it looks
watch chase the summits video abt black ultra 2, for the most part you should be fine unless you put ur watch through hell everyday, of course the black might chip off in that case but the watch itself wont be harmed
I like black better but still decided to go with silver got I was able to snag one for 500 brand new while black was costing me 700 open box and 799 for brand new so saving 300 bucks plus getting a ultra 2 just not a color I wanted is fine also I am starting to like silver now I guess we all get used to it.
My last watch was the graphite Stainless Steel it was beautiful but really limited me to dark bands. With the Ultra I have way more choices so though the black Ultra is very tempting for flexibility I’m sticking with silver.
Over the years I've tried to convince myself the Ultra looks good when I try it on in the shops but it's been too big for my 180mm wrist. (7 inch) wrist. Today in the Apple Store The Ultra 2 Black looked good, better in fact than the 10 series on my wrist, though even the Apple Store had limited watches to try one. But I am worried about it and strap marking. Look forward to the upcoming strap/band video's. Titanium link on standard 10 and earlier versions. And if you get both the natural titanium link vs the black one.
That’s interesting, I’ve avoided going for the ultra in the past as when I’ve tried it on it swamped my 160 mm wrists. It may be worth giving it another go although I feel that even the larger of the standard Apple Watch offering feels too big for my wrist.
@@loucm4865 The larger series 10, 46mm is squarer then the previous series watches and looks large, it is thin and ight though. It makes the Ultra seem less of a jump up. But I'd also add that the new smaller one 42mm looks only a fraction smaller than the previous 44/45. and from what you said the new 42 might be your perfect fit. I wonder if the Ultra 3 might come in 2 sizes as regardless of me wanting it to work it is still a large flat watch.
Apple Watch Ultra in SPACE BLACK 😋. Too bad, the jet black is only available in aluminum which might be susceptible to scratch since it only uses Ion Glass X or whatever it is.
i bought the silver ultra 2 instead of the black. During the process the black is covering the silver but if you scratch the black it will reveal the silver !!!!
Yup so true. I bought the black one and I got a little scratch on it and it revealed the silver so I ended up returning it and getting me the silver titanium watch instead.
it turns out that this is painted silver titanium? it's a pity that the black color scratches so unpleasantly. I wanted it in black, but apparently I'll have to take natural titanium, since they are more practical
@@mirkogamingtop its not apple fault. For example my friend has a tudor which cost around 6000 $ and after 2 years the black is remplaced by the gold. The tudor is not "a sportwatch" so you can imagine what happens with an ultra 2 which is made for everydays uses. The scratches will reveal the natural titanium in less than 2 years clearly. For example do a trail, go to swim etc and you will get scratches. Natural titanium doesn't have this problem of course so yes better go for natural titanium version, same for the band as well
@@Shaera574 I think you're right. Any coating wears off over time, no matter how durable it is... Now the choice is obvious for me, I will order natural titanium
Holy crap, my message has been used!!!! I’ve got the Watch Ultra 1 with ocean band midnight blue and yellow. I use the Modular watch face in white color, which is dope and very lisible. The different colors could be another concept or video by the way, as there is plethora of choices. Ocean band is my go to band as I’m very active and it is rugged and comfortable. New watch face colors could be another channel!!!! My 2 cents!
Natural > other variants. Bought all previous Alpine Loops and some Trail Loops, I prefer the Natural anyway, adding that I have the bands I’m staying with the Ultra 2. Still looking forward to the Milanese Loop, I can’t get enough of it ;-}. I saw the Black Ultra and it looks good, from a distance it looks like plastic to me, but as always to each their own. Thanks Juan.
I upgraded from my S9 to the Ultra 2 and i went for the Natural Titanium. I just thought it looked much nicer and is much easier to dress for a more formal occasion imho speaking from a female point of View. I felt the Satin Black was more for the male's. Again this is my opinion. I love the look of the Natural with a black band..... But i dont like the Satin Black watch with a Natural titanium/stainless band looks out of whack to me.
Thanks for showing this all! It’s such a tough decision for me. Bandaholic with 30+ bands, always with a black sport watch until now. Was waiting for the release of ultra in black but now…the 10 just is so nice to wear and the combinations you showed here make me think I might need an ultra in natural as addition 😅 but then again some combinations with the dark ultra look sooo hot…thinking about my outfits I mostly dress in darker/muted colors but still… Maybe that’s just part of the fun and hobby 😂 keep up the good work!
Happy with the black ultra. Coming from ultra 1, the natural titanium to me started to feel like a children’s toy on my wrist when wearing with certain outfits after owning for 2 years. Worth the upgrade 😍😈
i don't know if its just me, but the original titanium looks more premium as the black can come off as looking like any ol plastic watch, don't get me wrong its stunning but the silver will always look like some sort of metal unmistakably giving it a more expensive look
This! Black also makes it look like ‘any other watch’.
Yeah I think the fact that is a matte black just makes it look like the black on aluminum Apple Watches. Makes it look a lot cheaper.
@@SapphireWolf121 You obviously haven't seen one in real life. The look very classy.
You might be right but the black one in real looks a lot more sporty tho.

Can you do a durability test with the titanium and the black? I am a titanium user.
I went with the black this time, but I like them both as much. hard choice
Same kinda regret it kinda love it 😂

Black is more classy - natural screams hey everyone look at me.
Think the same! After wearing the satin black for a month I regret to not had bought the natural.
Natural is more classic ! Black screams look at me im cheap !
Got both. Love the black more
why did you get both?

The natural looks so much sharper and premium to me. The black hides the lines on the Ultra, especially when viewed from a distance.
Anyone know good places to buy Apple Watch bands that Apple no longer sells?
Regardless of the case, the AW Ultra 2 could look much better if the display didn't have this large black border. For this reason, I only use watch faces with a black background color. I hope that Apple will do better in the next version.

I have the ultra 1 and i wish we could have our speakers play music like the new ones
What are the two bands at 3:57 and 3:53?!?
I might have fucked up on durability but I had to have that black 😂
Will wait for Ultra 3, slimmer body is expected. If you as me now: Black!
Non-black all the way.
Put black coating in salt water or dent here and there...will start to show its true color😊😊😊
Lol well considering the watch is designed for the water and the sea I don't think that is going to happen is it????
Does the black apple ultra 2 have black paint peeling off?
Mines doing well

can the fingerprints be seen on the black version or not?
No
Yes you can I returned my black one after 48 hours for a reg titanium
AW1 and I’m gonna get the black with the black ocean band.
Great idea for a video, it was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you.
😎black always good on anything ✅👍
Helpful review Juan! Black looks awesome!
What’s the watch band @ 4:00?
Hermès Bridon Noir single tour band from fall 2023 ($$).

500 bands is insane

No way I’m getting black Ultra, I have 200 genuine bands and some of them have silver lugs that could look awful with black case
Wow the frame on that ultra silver is pretty bang up. I really like the black but everyone is complaining about the bezel is not durable.
