Nez had an artist's mind and did not allow his ego to get in the way. He was a conduit for the universe and humble at the same time.

Why can't he say Benny Hill who was way bigger than Python?

Maybe he preferred Python. Maybe he never watched Benny Hill. Maybe he liked both equally but if left alone on a desert island he would prefer to have Python DVDs as opposed to Benny Hill DVDs and a decent sound system which would allow him to play them.
      - Flowing alcohol lakes, a vast array of sweet-meats, a sumptuous orchard of every type of exotic fruit and several semi-clad dancing girls to help him watch the sun go down.

@@KebabMusicLtd Nah he clearly liked Benny Hill as well like LOADS in the U.S but something or someone is making sure he can't say so (he had to stop himself) a bit like Harrison Ford went to weird elaborate lengths to avoid giving Benny Hill credit for the Sword vs Gun sketch idea in Raiders of the Lost Ark that came from Bennys show in 1978 shown in U.S as well.
I think Stephen King was a fan of Benny too as Maximum Overdrive seems based upon a 1980 sketch when Benny was really breaking it big in the U.S with household appliances starting attacking people and took over but again it's a leftist entertainer not allowed to give Benny credit.
Even Mrs Doubtfire seems to be copied from Benny playing a Scottish feminist TV censor in drag in 1983 who ends up threatening to punch a guy in the gob but of course not even the scantest credit got given there either.
There's something very weird going on when it comes to Benny Hill being wiped from history and credit given to inferior Python instead.
Bearing in mind it was a bitter BBC Python/Fawtly Towers producer who eventually infiltrated Thames TV pretending to be freelance then spitefully fired Benny Hill (claiming it was too expensive to make whilst ignoring the millions coming in from export profits) then he went back to the BBC not so freelance after all..
There's a technical aspect to appreciating Benny Hill which Nesmith was likely far more interested in as well because it was Benny who invented the invisible screen splitting method of multiplying his different characters on screen at the same time by putting cut card over the lens or something.
BTW Python copied the Dead Parrot sketch from Benny Hill when he was at the BBC but left because they were restrictive refusing to give Benny a decent budget which Python likely suffered from as well but Benny never called them out over it because he was a good guy already doing well and didn't begrudge Python for it making his firing by one of them look all the meaner and nastier.
