I know. Poor guy....he must have been feeling really rotten that night. It’s so cool for him to have been there, though, to see and feel the adoration. He could see he has touched many lives with his legacy of music.
I came all the way from Sweden to attend this farewell concert! The boys sounded great and the audience was really into it! What a way to end a 55 year career.
Yes, this was terrible news this morning. Mike was always my favorite, but loved the entire group. Had the great fortune to see them in concert on several occasions, the last time was a couple of years ago in Anaheim when it was just the Mike and Mickey Show.
Seeing Nez, so frail but obviously really enjoying himself. Heroically supported and encouraged by his "brother" Micky Dolenz in this their final concert, is just so moving and so beautiful it made me shed a tear. Nez, you brought a lot of joy to a lot of people and you also gave people wonderful memories. A life well lived. We'll miss you. RIP, tall Texan, RIP.
Actually this was just under a month before he passed, it made me shed a tear knowing this was the final performance for the Monkees following a 55 year legacy, even more so when Micky said "are you listening Davy?"
Poor Mike reminds me of how my dad became near the end..both strong proud men who ended their days frail and confused..I really am sad watching this..I saw Nez decades ago and he was tower of strength, great voice and powerfull presence..this is definitely sad to see
@@cliveedwards2958 Right before watching this video, I watched the encore of the 1986 reunion concert when Mike joined his three bandmates on the stage. You are so correct about juxtaposition of young(er) Mike vs. old(er) Mike. In that '86 concert, he was towering with a commanding presence and a captivating voice. Here, he is a frail old man who is literally on death's door. Man, that is sobering to see such a contrast in a man's life in two videos seen back-to-back.
My sister and I were fortunate to be in the audience for this performance in Los Angeles. Though Michael looked fragile and would sit down a lot of the time, his energy was awe inspiring. RIP Mr. Nesmith
Are we the luckiest generation or what?! The Monkees gave us 55 years of love (and we them) I can't imagine any other musical group of today lasting this long for their fans. Thanks for sharing this ~ I wanted to be there so bad!!
"Hey Davy, you listening?" That was so sweet. I was born in 1977 but grew up watching reruns of the tv show on Nickelodeon and listening to my mother's Monkee albums. I was sad to hear that we lost Mike Nesmith. I'm sitting here now trying not to cry. I just wanna hug them both and thank them for being a part of my childhood through their music. They bring back happy memories. R.I.P Mike, Davy and Peter.
What wonderful memories. I don't think The Monkees ever truly got the acknowledgement they deserved, but they have songs that have been forever etched in millions of hearts. RIP Michael Nesmith.
@@skybluemarshall The guy made 10s of millions of dollars and was still (sort of) performing up until the end. The Monkees are certainly remembered. What else could he ask for? I know he contributed to a couple of the songs but mostly they were written by song writers, he was no Paul McCartney. What exactly was clueless, old man? Enlighten me.
Micky stood right by his soul brother Mike's side to see him through this final show..And Mike to the best of his ability delivered once again. RIP Michael "Blessing" Nesmith.
In my early teens the Monkees were the group that led me to become a musician. Now, into my late 60's, I'm still performing in bands as a guitarist and bassist. Most recently, I've begun entertaining at senior centers. Every time I do so, I include a Monkee related song as part of my set list as a tribute to them for inspiring a life long passion for music. RIP Mike, Peter and Davy
Daydream believer gets to me as well. I was young then but still own my Monkees albums. My older sister who was a young teen around 67,68 loved the Monkees. She met Davey and spent some time with him back in the 80s or 90s when he was not doing any big show's. But that song reminds me of her, now gone also. And of my childhood and family who I've lost nearly all. But I remember hearing that song in the 60s. My sister like many of us would play records over and over and learn every word. We had such great music talent in the 60s,and 70s. Its actually hard to believe the amount of talent. I miss those times. And slowly we lose those who impacted our youth with joy and memories. 🕊️✌️☮️🤟🎸🎶
Condolences to Micky and all of Michael Nesmith's loved ones. Papa Nez was a force for good and a force of positive energy whose wonderful creativity will illuminate far and wide for the ages.
Watching and listening with tears in my eyes. My siblings and I watched the Monkees TV show as kids, and I loved their music. It seemed to me that they seldom got the credit they truly deserved. Now, only Micky is left. RIP, Mike.
The Monkee’s were THE group to watch on TV in my early formative years. From age 6 to 8, I was glued to the TV every Saturday afternoon when the show was on. Even in syndication, I believe their loyal followers watched the shows over and over again. I know I did. And would do so again gladly!!
It's hard to express what the atmosphere was like in the theater. I was there and I'm still buzzing 24 hours later. Mike spoke so philosophically as if he wanted to give a final set of messages to The Monkees fans. He talked about music as a spiritual way of uniting people and how that struck him with monkeys were on stage in Hawaii when they were just young men starting out. This was a completely unique show which meditated upon the legacy of the Monkees and which features some of the most brilliant compositions by Mike and some of the most important historical vocals by Mickey, with plenty of love and acknowledgement of Peter and Davy. An excellent band, a great lighting system, an intimacy theater, a tremendous sound system, and I'll bet that the surviving Monkees went to bed last night knowing that they had touched the hearts and souls of everyone there.
I can only speak from what I seen at the Atlanta show. Very disappointing!! Mickey and the band sounded great, however as far as any kind of tribute to Peter and Davy was close to basically nothing! After the last song...all it was, was a simple thank you and good night and basically ran off stage one way and Mike went the opposite direction. No warm and fuzziness in any kind of way! They just took my money and ran..... so long!
#RIP Mike Nesmith, his passing is very sad. But having that one last time up there on that stage with his friend must have meant the world to them both. They got to finish the last gig together on stage, thats perfect really. God bless the family.
DAMN. 4 weeks ago I had tickets to this concert and plans all fell apart. I was in L.A., first time in 20 years, missed the Monkees last concert, Mike's last appearance forever. Heartbroken tonight. I am grateful I got to see them at the Hollywood Bowl in 1967, when I was almost 14, and again in 1988 at the Greek, this very stage, when Mike surprised us all, including Micky, Davy and Peter, with an appearance, making it all incredibly special. 5 weeks ago I danced with my bestie a dance we created 54 years ago to Michael Nesmith's "Door Into Summer." Long live the Monkees. Miss you dear Mike.
The fact that Mike has passed is incredibly sad. I almost started crying as I was reading the article this morning, and I still might. I LOVED the Monkees. I wasn’t born when they were in their heyday, but I still watched their show on tv whenever it was on, and I loved it!! Thanks for sharing this video!
I was just a kid when they reemerged in the mid-80s. I had known their music because I am the youngest of six kids, but I never saw the show until then. I remember enjoying all of the episodes on MTV and they released a music video really good. I have continued to listen to '60s music since I was young and they are a big part of that soundtrack.
Condolences to all of us fans and Mickey Dolenz. The news of Mike Nesmith's death today has just been broadcast up here in Ontario. Thanks for the music!
I was a HUGE Monkee fan back in the day. I was very saddened to read about the passing of Mike Nesmith. Condolences to all Monkee fans and to Mickey Dolenz who is the last of the Monkees. Mike Nesmith was a good songwriter. The Stone Ponyes with Linda Ronstadt sang their hit single "Different Drum" which was written by Mike Nesmith. Rest in Peace Mike as you now sing with Davey and Peter in heaven.
@@gothbroke7020 Is that a quote from someone official connected with The Monkees? I have a big collection of their memorabilia and I have not seen Micky's (or Davy's) first name misspelled anywhere on those items. What's an example of one?
Sad news about Nez today. It's hard to believe that this video was just a few weeks ago. Michael Nesmith was a true musical visionary and musician. He will be missed.
@@trebillis7399 I don't understand why he did this but i know he had an "assistant" who was very detrimental to his physical and emotional well being and i hope she wasn't the one that forced him to do it.
I watched this video last week and now Michael Nesmith has passed. I can watch this 13 minutes over and over. What a great capture. Seeing the love Micky had for Michael and back at him. Makes me want to cry hearing those fun songs and good times. RIP Michael Nesmith a true talent. 🙏
The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame is beyond a joke. And has been for at least 20 years. That a semi-adequate karaoke singer like Linda Ronstadt is in, yet the Monkees are not, is a travesty. A monstrosity! An atrocity!!!!!!! (Okay, maybe that's going too far.) Meanwhile, anti-pop folk-schlock charlatan Joan Baez is in. (Who's next? Pop-joke artist Mrs. Miller?) Two-hit wonders the Zombies are in. (Who's next? Three-hit wonder Rupert Holmes?) Yet Jethro Tull, the Jam, Lydia Lunch, Violent Femmes, Ted Nugent, the Replacements, Tommy Roe, Johnny Tillotson and the Cocteau Twins remain ignored. I know that no one's opinions will ever line up exactly with another's opinions. That's why we have committees. But, seriously?
They were zany. They were fun to watch and hear their songs, whether they wrote them or not, they played to their fans and gave it all. They weren't just a group of actors and musicians, they were brothers to the end. What a life. We love all of them. RIP.
When he said Davey are you listening? This is for you. I welled up pretty good. Sad to see the truly greats go. Glad I grew up when I did through the 60’s 70s and onward. Better times if you ask me. Rip. Thanks for the memories.
I met Davy once at a book signing and at Cracker Barrell and got to see Mickey, Mike and Peter in concert. The tv show got me thru my young years! Love to the all!!!!!
Love this quote from Rolling Stone: 'When he sings “Listen to the Band,” one of his signature songs, he leans into Dolenz for support. The Monkees are no longer about meddling NBC execs or song credits or royalty disputes. It’s two friends, who have known each other for more than a half-century, saying goodbye.' RIP Michael.
The Monkees were a part of my childhood and reminds me of my Dad, who on every Saturday would watch the Monkees with us 3 kids, and then we would play the first Monkees album, both sides, and we would dance and sing along and just act silly. This was ingrained in my childhood. My Dad passed away suddenly about 30 years ago, but I have the Monkees music on my music libraries and whenever I miss my family and my Dad, I tune in to the Monkees. RIP MIke. Your music will live on.
MIke's voice still as beautiful as ever I love this man- you don't know what he did for me. He went above and beyond for me back when he was a VERY BUSY SUCESSFUL movie /video producer! He took HIS time for ME!!! I have his letter mounted and framed and ttreasure it FOREVER. BLESS him and ALL of them. ...Peter thank you for giving yourself to me and making me feel so special, you re something, March 8, 1980- I treasure that... Kimberly
I haven't known about Mike's passing today for even ten minutes and I am losing my mind 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I was introduced to The Monkees by my dad when I was 7yrs old with an 8-track and watching re-runs and I have been a "MONKEE JUNKIE" for 37yrs now. I'm crying so hard I can only hope this makes sense. Only Mickey now. What am I gonna do without my Monkees? 😭😭😭 May he rest in peace having known the JOY & HAPPINESS that he brought into so many lives ❤❤
Definite shock to hear the news today, oh boy. The 60s were like no other time in recent 100 years or so. The Beatles, Monkees, Hendrix…. Mike will be missed as a witness and participant in that great era.
My mother worked for Davy Jones for 9 yrs. till she passed..now he passed.too.. I loved him, he was like a brother I never had He treated my mother like a Queen. He was very good to my mother. He and my momma are missed very much❤🙏🏻
I'm 44 and my first memories of the Monkees were when I was 9 and they had their comeback in 86. I have been a fan ever since and watching this video hits hard. 86 seems like yesterday and there's no more tomorrow for 3/4 of the Monkees. This ride is going by too fast and seeing this makes me realize I need to stop wasting time and achieve/enjoy it now. RIP Davy, Peter and now Mike! You're the only one with the torch now Micky, carry it proud!
Micky was devastated when Davy died as suddenly as he did. Watch the tribute video after he passed. You won't have a dry eye. Micky has said he's was the brother he never had. I love that he's done this at every concert Ive been to since that horrible leap year day in 2012.
RIP Mike. You were way ahead of your time; but were given very little credit for it. Thank you Mike, and Mick, Peter, Davey . . . the music, the laughs, the childhood memories for this baby boomer. Love(d) you guys.
My wife and I drove out from Vegas for this show. One of the best road trips we've ever made. Just watching this brings tears (of joy and sadness) to my eye. Fantastic night. ❤✌
God almighty, Mike literally left his last bit of energy on that stage. That performance was heroic, for Mike to even get out there, and for Mickey carrying his old friend across the finish line. 💔❤️
When they did Davey’s Day Dreamer Believer…I about lost it. They are a piece of my childhood I will always treasure. RIP Mike Nesmith, Davey Jones and Peter Tork. ❤️
Mike, what a unique dude he was. RIP... These guys are my Beatles. It hits hard. Thank you for sharing this stuff. It was good to see him tear it up one more time.

In 1968, I was only 12 years old school boy in the far east country Japan, and I couldn't understand anything in English but the Monkees captivated me perfectly by their entertainer spirit. Yes, still I can believe in magic of them.
Thank you for immortilizing Michael in this, his final performance. I had no idea he was so fragile already and I am so sad. One of my favorite musicians and certainly one of my favorite people.
May I say I was so blessed to be a part of this era....I watched The Monkees every week...had those dang posters all over my wall...wanted to marry Davy...or any of them...have had the great honor of meeting Davy...getting a kiss and my hands held by Micky...I never got to see Mike with them...😪😔...but I have seen all 3 at least...Rest In Peace...Davy Peter Mike...and God Bless all of our Monkee Fans...we are one incredible group...🙏❤🌻❤❤☺️👏👏
My wife and I attended this show. I'm so glad I did. The Monkees played all their hits and then some. Nesmith has grown noticeably old but carried the show with grace and dignity. Good show!
I think his triple bypass took a lot out of him too. Usually does with anyone who's had one...I saw them shortly before his surgery too, and he had considerably more energy than when I saw them in Illinois on Nov. 5th. He didn't play his guitar during this tour either, whereas he did at all the others.
I had a tripple bypass operation two years ago & there is definitely a drop in energy, which was mentioned to me by my consultant. It's a case on conserving energy for when you need it.
I must disagree with BB the comment about losing energy after triple bypass surgery I had triple bypass surgery in my late 50's and a year later back playing full-court competition basketball twice a week. I am now 65 and still playing.
I just want to give a shoutout to the entire band. They played phenomenally throughout this tour giving Mickey and Mike the best platform. I'm a drummer and I really respect the drummer here who didn't overdo it. I'm a firm believer that the notes you don't play are just as important, and the guitarist and horn section and bassist really did a tight job. They really hired the best.
His name is Rich Dart. I follow him on Facebook. The story goes that Mickey hired him. Micky figured Rich probably wasn't familiar with the Monkees music. Not only was Rich familiar with all of the songs but knew all of the lyrics as well.
Tough to watch this. So many pleasant memories to enjoy; so many harsh realities to endure. Certainly, one last hurrah, but enough now. Mickey's energy makes Mike's frailty painfully pronounced and sad to see. Is it not time for the group to be recognized for the true talents they were (Mickey had--and still has-- one of the finest voices in pop/rock) and inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? This is an accolade they thoroughly deserve--NOW!
Saw The Monkees live in concert in 1969. I might be old now but I lived in the best of times. What a ride! Rest in peace and thanks for the music - Davy, Pete, and Mike!
The Monkees started my lifetime love of music when I was 7 years old. The unique talents of these four individuals brought together by a tv show, the stars aligned, and they transitioned into a real band, that started the music video. After their first two albums, written by some of the best song writers around, then to step out on their own and release Headquarters, where they wrote all but one song I believe, took guts. To me Headquarters was their best album. Talented, intelligent, creative, uplifting, groundbreaking . Should they be in the RocknRoll Hall of Fame? They are part of the foundation, it wouldn't be here without them! RIP Mike!!!
I was lucky enough in my lifetime to see them all here in Ottawa along with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and Grassroots. They were all amazing and yes The Monkeys played their own Instruments that night. They came out singing Hey Hey Were the Monkeys then it started skipping and Micky grabbed a record player and smashed it and they all picked up Instruments and continued the song. It was an hilarious way for them to prove they really played. I'll never forget it.
I. Saw this show in Greensburg, Pa less than a month before Mike died. I saw the first tour in Pittsburgh , the summer of 1967 and I saw the final tour.
THANKS SO Much!!! I'm a Monkees Lover ❤️ since I was in my Momma's Belly. Losing Mike really rocked my world... I thought it broke me. Then I found out that this concert, the last concert... Was on my 54th Birthday. I just found your video 30 minutes ago. Listen to the Band 6:50... One of my absolute favorites... The last performance... I just came back in the house, been in the back yard, earbuds in, phone on the selfie stick, singing, dancing, crying ... Rocking out with Mike n Micky on my birthday... What an awesome amazing gift. Thank you for posting it. It means so very much to me. I feel like I can start to heal. RIP Mike 🌟 RIP Peter 🌟 RIP Davy 🌟 And hey, Micky, don't get into any Monkee bizness while the boys are away. ✌🏻☮️💖🌟😎🎵🤟🏼
I was a fan of Micky Dolenz on the TV series "Circus Boy," years before he became a Monkee. His scat singing on "Going Down" is my favorite of all his recordings, and one he co-wrote with Mike and Peter. We all owe The Beatles movie "A Hard Day's Night" big time for inspiring "The Monkees" TV show.
The wonderfully talented Probyn Gregory (from Brian Wilson's band) on Trumpet. He told me it was a "dream come true" to play with this band. He's always been a huge Monkees fan!! Super to see him!
@@lynntempleton9640 Hey Lynn--No, not Nicky. Sorry to inform you that Nicky passed away in August of 2019. I didn't know him too well, but he was so smart. So sad and then there was just one; I can't believe Mike is gone now too ; and how much his passing touched me teared me right up as I listened again , Sure they weren't top Band on my all time list the Beatles were; But I loved the Monkees music too; and Mikes hit ; "Joanne". God Bless you guys and thanks for all the shows and music Davey Jones , Peter Tork , Mike Nesmith, and Mickey Dolenz keep on living and stay strong dude.
Thank you for so many beautiful memories of my youth. Hey let us all be kinder to each other. The sixties were many things but we put people and love first: that is the legacy we boomers have to keep remembering. Love to All.
I’m bawling my eyes out, especially when they did Daydream Believer. I grew up watching the reruns in the 80’s and they will always be one of my favorite bands. Very underrated in my opinion. I cried when Davy died, I cried when Peter died, and Mike’s death has been hard. All of my love and prayers are with Mike’s family. I pray for Mickey also. May he still have the strength to come out sometime in his career, and keep using his sweet voice. The Monkees will always have a very special place in my heart ♥️. God Bless 🙏🏼🎶🎙
Micky has been touring this past year and sounding fantastic!! I saw him last month at the Sellersville Theater in PA. Got his autograph and told him I hope he comes back
I loved the MONKEES! I was such a fan, back in the day, and loved the tv show, too. Still do. I’m a product of the 60’s and feel so fortunate for that because it’s so different NOW. When I was 11, back in 1967, I actually had a poster of the MONKEES and another one of DAVY on my bedroom wall. LOL Such an amazing time it was. Anyway, when I heard about the passing of Mike Nesmith last week it just broke me up. First Davy, then Peter who I actually knew personally back in the early 80's in NYC, and now Mike. Watching this last performance with Micky and Mike was so touching knowing that there's only Micky left now. RIP MIKE
thanks for the upload....coming here today to celebrate MIkes life, the song "Listen to the Band" is a perfect tune. lifelong fav of mine. great to see his last performance of it.
Priceless. Seen Mickey and his sister Coco with Peter Noone, Seen Peter Tork and Davy, but none of them together. 63 years old I am and been loving their songs since I was 7, and STILL do
64, I watched their tv show as a youngster growing up in Dublin Ireland. We loved them. What happy memories, what happy days. I still sing sleepy Jean, lovely melody.
RIP Mike Nesmith... I'll never quit listening to your songs "Different Drum" and "Some of Shelly's Blues". Fans should hear Tony Furtado's version on "Some of Shelly's Blues". If you don't know this song of Michael's, FIND IT. Far superior songwriting never to be topped. Thank you Mike and the many artists that covered Mikes songs because they were that good!
The Greek was their very last performance as the Monkees. It's so sad and surreal knowing that the band is no more. I grew up being a resurgence fan when they made a comeback in the 80s, it was one band I could enjoy listening to with my parents since it was part of their generation too. I will cherish the memories and miss these guys.
Sad about Michael Nesmith but happy to know he entertained right up to his last. I was a kid when the Monkees were on TV & i laughed at their antics but loved all the psychedelic messages that i umderstood as I grew older. Now watching this video I cannot believe how much the drummer looks like Peter Tork. Am I right?
Yeah, you're right. Rich Dart looks like he could be Peter's son (even the mimed tip of the hat when Micky saluted the band was pure Tork). There are a couple of relatives in the touring band, though: Christian Nesmith, Mike's eldest son, on guitar, and Micky's sister, Coco Dolenz, on vocals and percussion.
It has been an honor in this lifetime to see these this group, this tv show, their acting and singing. I missed the opportunity to meet Davy, but met Peter Tork in NY, got Micky Dolenz' autograph. Never met Mike and unfortunately, he looks nearing the end. Praying he will stay a little longer on earth after the farewell concert. He really looks frail, but he gave it his best. Tearing up right now. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame should have a spot for them. Period!
I’m honestly tearing up at this, I wasn’t around in the 60s but the Monkees were a huge part of my early teens and the rest of my life. Knowing there is only Micky left is… painful. RIP Papa Nez, you along with Davy and Peter will always be loved

He knew he was dying, and chose to give his all for the fans one last time. Rest in peace, Mr Nesmith
Did He really know? I just thought He was in better shape after the extensive heart surgery? Maybe He was tired out touring so much?❤
Mike Nesmith picked me up hitchhiking on Highland Ave in 66
That’s pretty cool..Anything to add about the experience?..
Did you run into any lizards?
R.I.P. Mike Nesmith. 😪
Cool! RIP Mike.
Very cool!
What wonderful memories. I don't think The Monkees ever truly got the acknowledgement they deserved, but they have songs that have been forever etched in millions of hearts. RIP Michael Nesmith.
They died because they were a fake band, didn't even play their own instruments at first !!
Yeah they were just actors, they didn't write anything .. I think they got about as much as could be expected
@@Xane_Dragon You obviously haven't read much about the Monkees. You're knowledge on the subject is virtually non-existent.
@@johnedward8352 Another clueless comment.
My teenage years are flashing before my eyes. Awww, Mike....safe travels and say "HI" to Peter and Davy.
One Monkee left but the memories live on forever. Rest in peace Mike.
And their music will last if we keep passing it on to our grandchildren!
Just heard that Mike has passed and Daydream Believer has me crying my eyes out. LOVE my Monkees forever.
I truly believe they are among the most iconic entertainers of that era. The memories of a few generations will continue to cherish them.
I just heard the news too. CRYING, love my Monkees
Condolences to Micky and all of Michael Nesmith's loved ones. Papa Nez was a force for good and a force of positive energy whose wonderful creativity will illuminate far and wide for the ages.
Well said, sir. Bless.
Watching and listening with tears in my eyes. My siblings and I watched the Monkees TV show as kids, and I loved their music. It seemed to me that they seldom got the credit they truly deserved. Now, only Micky is left. RIP, Mike.
Sad very sad
The Monkee’s were THE group to watch on TV in my early formative years. From age 6 to 8, I was glued to the TV every Saturday afternoon when the show was on. Even in syndication, I believe their loyal followers watched the shows over and over again. I know I did. And would do so again gladly!!
Everytime I watch this I cry. I wish we could go back to those days
Agreed!
Beautifully said 🎧
@@edwardmeradith2419 (Just said that and then saw your reply!)
anyone that thinks that Peter and Davy were not "there" is mistaken.
Godspeed, Mr. Nesmith. Thank you for all the joy that you gave to the music world.
“Listen to the Band” Man that broke me up. I love you Michael. Thank you for all of the humanity and the joy. Rest In Peace.
🥂 🥂
He was ill and frail during this concert. What a trooper to go right to the end. Will be greatly missed 😭
Thank goodness for their TV show and it’s goofiness ! Micky is a real trooper and Mike is so sweet 🥲 sorry he’s gone 😢 ❤️🎸
God Bless his soul , a cowboy with his boots on ' till the end . That's the only way to go out . Praise God , may we all be able to do this !
Condolences to all of us fans and Mickey Dolenz. The news of Mike Nesmith's death today has just been broadcast up here in Ontario. Thanks for the music!
I read about that about 6 hours ago on Yahoo news. I'm still in shock.
Nice of you, but one way to best console Micky is to spell his name correctly.
A very nice tribute, but please spell Micky's and Davy's name correctly.
Micky's name has been misspelled on enough official Monkees stuff that it's considered that "Mickey" is his Alternative Title....
😂😂 missed....whatever
@@Xane_Dragon Of course he will be missed. The hell is wrong with you?
You can tell from watching this he wasn't well. Very sad to watch actually.
Mickey held them together.
It's a shame they won't put these guys into the Hall of Fame. It's only two of them left. Legends in their own right!
(Okay, maybe that's going too far.)
Meanwhile, anti-pop folk-schlock charlatan Joan Baez is in. (Who's next? Pop-joke artist Mrs. Miller?) Two-hit wonders the Zombies are in. (Who's next? Three-hit wonder Rupert Holmes?)
Yet Jethro Tull, the Jam, Lydia Lunch, Violent Femmes, Ted Nugent, the Replacements, Tommy Roe, Johnny Tillotson and the Cocteau Twins remain ignored.
I know that no one's opinions will ever line up exactly with another's opinions. That's why we have committees.
But, seriously?
They have more than earn the right to in the Hall of Fame and my 2 year grandson Loves The Monkeys now so they have a new fan.
As I said elsewhere, "Good Times," with it's all-star involvement, might state the case. As soon as next year, please?
Agreed, except the hall of fame sucks
Now one...
RIP Mike! Those who got to see him and Micky in concert recently were really lucky.....
I am one of those few. Saw them in Minneapolis. Best show ever.
I was at this show. To be present for Mike’s final performance is something I consider a great honor. RIP Nez

Congratulations, congratulations, me too and please spell Micky's name correctly.

I am a big Monkees fan, too. My condolences. Please spell Micky's name correctly.
Definite shock to hear the news today, oh boy. The 60s were like no other time in recent 100 years or so. The Beatles, Monkees, Hendrix…. Mike will be missed as a witness and participant in that great era.

He treated my mother like a Queen.
He was very good to my mother.

Micky never fails to salute Davy at the end of Daydream Believer, so moving!
Micky was devastated when Davy died as suddenly as he did. Watch the tribute video after he passed. You won't have a dry eye. Micky has said he's was the brother he never had. I love that he's done this at every concert Ive been to since that horrible leap year day in 2012.

Some people were chiming in they had felt better than ever post heart surgery if followed advice. Tour helped Nez.
Nesmith unfortunately passed away. :(
I just want to give a shoutout to the entire band.
Mickey and Davy both were excellent pop singers. Mike and Pete not far behind.

Thanks for all the great tv. shows ,music and memories guys . You will never be forgotten .God Bless you all.
RIP Mike!!!
Me, too.
You're such a big fan that you can't even spell their name right. Me? I prefer the Beetles. 😂

63 years old I am and been loving their songs since I was 7, and STILL do
I'm also 63 and started listening at 7 years old in 1965.
64, I watched their tv show as a youngster growing up in Dublin Ireland. We loved them. What happy memories, what happy days. I still sing sleepy Jean, lovely melody.
Congratulations. His name is spelled Micky.
Period!

I purchased tickets six months ago, but due to health issues was unable to attend as it involved quite a bit of travel, etc. I feel badly about this as I have been there to see them play as a group, solo and in pairs, and wanted to be there to say goodbye. It helps to view the videos and read the comments. The Monkees have meant a lot to me since my childhood and it has been hard on the band and the fans to lose Davy and Peter. Bless you, Micky and Mike, and bless all you wonderful fans and your faithful devotion throughout the years. Thank you Micky and Mike for staying with us and for us for so long! I'm getting old! These guys had clothes line you could get from Penneys. I had to have them. I remember the Monkees tv show. Had to see it.! Those were the days
This is just before Mike passed. Mickey said Mike was really struggling with his health in this concert. You can see it in his body language. RIP Michael, Peter and Davy. You 4 guys gave me great joy when I was a kid!
Damn if Mike didn't still have his voice right up to the end 🥰
Here because of the death of Mike Nesmith who died today 10/12/2021
I was only watching the both of them 3 weeks back with the Monkees final show. I'm glad I got to see them in my home city of Liverpool England back in May 2011.
Rip Mike. Give Davy and Peter all our love ❤
Anyone on Twitter give Micky some love at this time. He's lost another brother today.
Just watching today. Brought tears. How many of us know the lyrics!
