I really like what you mentioned about the proper fitting of clothes, because that's a secret way men can save money while maintaining a sharp look. I have a friend who mastered this in college. Guys, just groom, smell good, wear something that fits, and work out. You don't need to do anything else. You don't need to blow a bag to make most of these ladies like you. They're not worth it. However, clean up and make yourself presentable for yourself and your work. The ladies will follow you when you're doing your mission
@@GW_01 It's not. Guys understand exactly what I mean. Are they working out? No. Are they smelling like they showered every day? No. Are they shaving their junks? No.
Absolutely true… if it doesn’t fit you properly, it’s NOT going to look nice. When I was a teenager, I was guilty of this but I’ve learned my lesson lol
While it is incredibly important to look good, one should always know how to responsibly invest in their appearance. Plus, the item is only good if one feels confident when rocking it.
I think fragrance and hygiene you mentioned is very important in my opinion. Bonus added on is your body type body structure. If you take care of your body, your body will pick the right suit that suited you perfectly makes you look expensive.
Overall, I love your video. It was packed with much good info, when we are at this level. Though, we have to remember that much of this is what we see on the outside of the man. Men have to know how to work on their life priority frame. This is a concept few understand. These life priorities are in the following order: mind, body, natural responsibilities (children, pets, etc.), home (with devices and utilities prioritized inside), media, work priorities, and friend/leisure priorities. Now, imagine a sliding frame. When it contracts, it drops down from friend/leisure priorities to mind priorities (mental health priorities). As we take care of our mind, body, natural responsibilities, and home (making sure we are completely filling them in), we can expand our life priority frame further to media, work, and finally to friend/leisure priorities. When we go on dates, it's supposed to be at the friend/leisure priority level in life. At that level, we can find men (or women) that have the perfect fitting clothes, accessorizes really well, and groom beautifully while having the right amount of fragrance, no visible logos, no wrinkles, and no bright colors. With all that going on, they can be a hot mess on all those other life priorities before the friend/leisure priority level, the one they have down pat and look good. Some people make fun of others who say "It's what's on the inside that matters", but it really does matter, a lot! Those with deficiencies in taking care of their life priorities will be prone to problems in life, and it makes them prone to dragging the rest of us into the holes in their life. I would love to hear you talk more about what you find on this subject, but I think your audience could only probably handle a sprinkle of this subject over time. In other words, even though I think this is such an important subject, I don't want to do anything that could contribute to you losing your audience... You help too many people out there to lose you! Peace Courtney!
Good advice. Throughout my years, I have definitely witnessed firsthand the difference. I usually just wear all black everything: cargo/straight trousers, hoodie/jacket, footwear. But, whenever I wear a slimfit white shirt, skinny black tie, trousers and comfortable wallaby type shoes, even women who work in the city doubletake sometimes. Especially if I have my hair canrowed at the time. Personally, I like to dress comfortable and skinny/slim fits just don't do it for me. I ask my brothers all the time how and why they want to wiggle and shake into their jeans lol. Open/cuffed cargos of dark colours, brightest I'd go is cream. White tees galore and tees with designs, usually anime or a comic book character or movie reference as they always tend to be a ice-breaker for me through the years, and a fresh pair of simple but not over-expensive trainers(sneakers).
I use a toilette which has a higher oil to alcohol ratio so it lasts longer than cologne. Just one spray to the chest after a shower is plenty, trust me.
I'm just not a cologne person and just avoid wearing them because strong fragrances give me headaches same goes for perfume on women. Heck I tend to even avoid clothing stores due to the strong smells so it ends up being several battles whenever I go to malls and such.
Important things: 0:29 First Thing ÷ Proportions Are Off; 2:43 Second Thing ÷ Over Accessorizing; 4:14 Third Thing ÷ Not Keeping Up With Grooming Habits; 6:35 Fourth Thing ÷ Too Much Fragrance; 7:34 Fifth Thing ÷ Excessive Logos; 8:57 Sixth Thin ÷ Trend Takeover; 10:56 Seventh Thing ÷ Bright Or Bad Color Combinations; 12:38 Eight Thing ÷ Wrinkles And Creases: 13:32 Ninth Thing ÷ Leaving Little To be Desired; and 15:17 to summarize all the told here. I suggest that you should make a video of behavior and different things that men come across cheap, and my suggest that you should make a video of behavior and different things that women come across cheap as well Courtney. Among the all the told here, I might add things what is also looking cheap as well. And can apply to men, and women as well. That is Tenth Thing ÷ Behaving Very Poorly (like showing that they are the center of the world, or some other inappropriate way of behaving's in society, etc.). I totally agree that watching trends can be so hard, and annoying, cause it, very hard to follow them. And I can say that the Trend Takeover can also apply not just to clothes, but it can also be applied to hair, and bear styles (and to be honest, I don't like to see them like copy - paste). That can apply to either men, and women as well (like it or not). Also combination of clothes (in the case of not putting the right colors); putting too much things such as rings, necklaces, etc. can be applied to men and women. I always remembered one thing that my mom told me a thing when I was a little child. She told me this: "Son, don't dress up yourself to look like a parrot." I think what have you told here Courtney, that can also be applied to women as well. I also don't understand putting too much fragrances (and that are doing, either men, and women as well). I understand that we have to smell nice (and certainly not to stink), but don't overdo it with fragrance. I remember that I have seen once a quote that goes like (you can correct me if I'm wrong): "The best perfume (or fragrance, call it whatever you want) smell is the smell of a clean face." Thank you so much Courtney ❤💙🤍.

No matter where I go, men look slovenly, including even in church. I dress in a rather casual style, nothing expensive nor exceptional, and I get compliments, not because I look elegant, but simply because I avoid looking shabby. It is a sad state of affairs in our society.

In high school, I was taking a trip with the family and my grandma and right before we left, I went to put cologne on and the bottle top came off and I spilled it all over my hands and shirt. I tried washing it off the best I could but we were leaving. About 10 mins into the car ride, the family was silently getting uncomfortable and agitated from the smell and from the backseat my grandma goes, "He's really trying to attract the mosquitos isnt he?". LOL.
It's amazing how many guys check the boxes on multiple points at once. It's also amazing how many women let their man look like trash while they're squared away.
Hi Courtney! Can you do a video on men's dress and evening shoes? I'm looking to buy some formal black dress shoes to go with a suit but also some less formal "evening casual" shoes (brown, black, etc.) that would be great for an evening date or night out on the town. Something more elegant than sneakers but not super black-tie formal. A lot of this is personal taste, but I don't want to look too dated. I prefer laces and good traction/soles on my dress shoes for safety reasons tbh, and I don't like the casual loafers and bows on churchy dress shoes that Baby Boomers wear, so I'll avoid those. Thank you!
Thank you. I would like to see a video on “how not to come off as being cheep”. I am frugal (another word for cheep😬) some would say that I am cheep. I would enjoy seeing your take on the subject. Thx and Merry Christmas!
Hey Courtney, great video classy and elegant never goes out of style, can you make videos like this for women I think it will be helpful for younger women who want to elevate the way they present themselves.
I will say, despite my below comment, I do most of the things you suggest here. I wasn't doing it before I met my wife, but she whipped me into shape. And... she's not a gold digger. She saw my potential and brought it out.😂
Color is important: I invented the CyMK screen which does not emit on Blue, - which is believed to disturb sleep -. It is used in industrial printingl, but I never saw it on homr-printers. Time to give it a shot....
Before you start critiqing men or anyone else take a moment to reflect on yourself. I dare say you've got a lot of work to do personally regarding style.....fashion......hair and makeup. Have a nice day.
I've worn nice clothes, fitted clothes, understated accessories, been in shape etc. I finally got comfortable in loose work pants, t shirts, dad sneakers or broken in work boots. If you don't like the blue collar look, it's in both of our interests for you to not be attracted.
Regarding Color Theory, you men, there is something to this. When I was a teenager I received for Christmas from a loving relative a pale blue short sleeved knit shirt. A little paler than the sky above. One morning before going to school I put it on for the first time and thought something was weird. It did not look good on me, somehow. But I reasoned, "I have many blue clothes, and they look OK. This must be just in my mind." ( for theorists I am blonde and light but not pale skin tone). I went thru the school day and on the bus home sat next to my best friend Chuck. He seemed reserved and avoided eye contact. Finally he said, "Man, that shirt makes you look like a CLOWN!" I never wore that shirt again.
Youre 100% correct on quality over quantity, clean and organized is where its at. Ponce-y brand logo shirts (et al) are ultra cringe-y and are IMO the epitome of tacky and needlessly and immediately make one look pretentious and materialistic, theres no real style there just posturing that falls flat. I bought a pair of Trickers Stow brogue boots, there are brands for a fraction of the price with an identical look but Trickers will and do last a lifetime, a sweatshop boot will not...Ive had a pair of Danner boots, not exactly inexpensive but they are still in tip top shape after 30 years. Words to live by that have never steered me wrong: Spend the money once on quality or you'll spend repeatedly on trash. Keep it classy gents.
When it comes to bright or bad colour combos, it's fine to have a blue shirt on and black shorts right? Cause i think it's actually good. Please tell me if I'm wrong
My brothers of all races please stop letting these women tell you what to wear you are a grown man sir unless she understands your style language don’t listen to her
In my place, the talors aren't what they used to be. All they do is (often poor job) of fixing clothes, or make the larger ones smaller. They just dont make custom clothes anymore for some reason. You see some cool outfit online, but its not available at the stores, so you're "stuck" with whatever the store has at ofter overbloated price but with not so great quality. By the way cargo pants/shorts are awesome. It has the same function as your handbags (often a luggage size), that you ladies wear. As for watches it all depends. I own several, originals one of which is quite expensive piece, but I wouldn't wear that particular watch everyday, but some of the less expensive ones. You just need to be careful not to get scammed with cheap copies that are priced as originals. I also enjoy pocket watches, they have that unique thing about them, but of course its not something that should be worn while jogging for example.
You're supposed to get the girl first and then let her play Ken doll on you. Most men have a very utilitarian attitude towards clothing. Function over form. If she wants the product bad enough, she's not gonna worry too much about the packaging.
What about a lavender dress shirt, charcoal sweater, and black trousers? Also … what about a watch and Fitbit flex 2 (not band that it came with)? This is Andrew Keener.
You don't know how many times I've been to a classy restaurant and many guys dress business casual with dirty running shoes and ill fitting outfits.I mean seriously???
I actively pursue being/looking cheap. Not only does it save me lots of money but it keeps women from considering any kind of attraction towards me whatsoever. I quite enjoy the invisibility.

Thank you! Thank you for saying about logos!! I have always hated big, garish logos, going around like a walking billboard. 👍
As with all great Courtney videos, great advice…starting with fashion and ending with philosophy
Black and white with a touch of brown here and there, maybe some olive green. That's it. You can't go wrong.
Awesome content! You look cute and healthy!
Thank you for your advice.... Listening and admit it to life. Made me look better and I'm more confident.

Happy Sunday Courtney.

Guys, just groom, smell good, wear something that fits, and work out. You don't need to do anything else. You don't need to blow a bag to make most of these ladies like you. They're not worth it. However, clean up and make yourself presentable for yourself and your work. The ladies will follow you when you're doing your mission
@@estebanleon5826 Cliché, generic, vacuous advice that we all know isn't true.
@@GW_01 It's not. Guys understand exactly what I mean. Are they working out? No. Are they smelling like they showered every day? No. Are they shaving their junks? No.
@@estebanleon5826 Plenty of men including myself do all of those things and get no further forward.
Absolutely!
Teddy needs to get a few of his buddies wearing cargo shorts and stop in all at once to see Courtney just to annoy her. ;-)

I think fragrance and hygiene you mentioned is very important in my opinion. Bonus added on is your body type body structure. If you take care of your body, your body will pick the right suit that suited you perfectly makes you look expensive.
i wear the finest balaclava and i sprint at lonely women with confidence and they still dont want to talk
She makes such great videos keep them coming
Any plans on making color theory video? That would be interesting.
love ur content . thanks for sharing these different perspectives . it really clears my mind and stops me from overthinking :)
I follow other style channels but Court gets priority!! 👏👏👏

I use a toilette which has a higher oil to alcohol ratio so it lasts longer than cologne. Just one spray to the chest after a shower is plenty, trust me.
Thanks for the vid!
She told me this: "Son, don't dress up yourself to look like a parrot."
I think what have you told here Courtney, that can also be applied to women as well. I also don't understand putting too much fragrances (and that are doing, either men, and women as well). I understand that we have to smell nice (and certainly not to stink), but don't overdo it with fragrance.
I remember that I have seen once a quote that goes like (you can correct me if I'm wrong): "The best perfume (or fragrance, call it whatever you want) smell is the smell of a clean face."
Thank you so much Courtney ❤💙🤍.

Hey Courtney, I was lucky enough to get some brooks brother's and Ralph lauren custom tailored shirts w, / the neck and shoulders tailored perfectly like they were made for me.
Love ❤️ the ladies from the lakeshore in the ritzy part of town.
great advice
You’re so funny, always on point.
Yeah I agree with little to no logos or words on shirts. Especially those shirts that say things like Just Walk Away. Never Underestimate a Man Born in September That Has A Short Fuse and Is a Father
you are a very smart lady
You're amazeballs.
I used to buy Men's Health for style tips and guidance 20 years ago. You are the better, honest, genuine replacement for that need.
Thanks for your vids Courtney, you are a real pro and a fun watch ;-)
No matter where I go, men look slovenly, including even in church. I dress in a rather casual style, nothing expensive nor exceptional, and I get compliments, not because I look elegant, but simply because I avoid looking shabby. It is a sad state of affairs in our society.
I'm 73 and agree with you in just about every category. How about the gym? An incredible array of style, color and functionality. Give it a go! I can help!
I’m not cheap, or broke, but I wear some of these and I get women and never had a problem with that. Attitude and personality is by far a bigger thing women look for and care about

I'm cheap and broke 😂
Hello, I really do appreciate this video a lot, you rock indeed. Wishing you a wonderful evening and upcoming week. Btw, I do work with clothes and have a butik in down town! Cheers 🎉🎉❤
A little dab of cool water or drakarr.will do you good 👍😉
In high school, I was taking a trip with the family and my grandma and right before we left, I went to put cologne on and the bottle top came off and I spilled it all over my hands and shirt.
Bring it Court, your on fire 🔥.!!!
Tastefully done like always.
Thank you!
Hey Courtney what hairstyles do guys like on girls? Cool video idea? The bump/quiff thing was cool lol
Thank you. I would like to see a video on “how not to come off as being cheep”. I am frugal (another word for cheep😬) some would say that I am cheep. I would enjoy seeing your take on the subject. Thx and Merry Christmas!
I like longer sleeves when I buy shirts. They shrink in the laundry after so many washes anyhow.
She saw my potential and brought it out.😂
As a short muscular guy 5'5 180lbs. It's definitely been quite slow in terms of finding things that work.

Color is important: I invented the CyMK screen which does not emit on Blue, - which is believed to disturb sleep -. It is used in industrial printingl, but I never saw it on homr-printers. Time to give it a shot....

Looking cheap is good, it avoids gold diggers.
If you don’t mind me asking. What watch are you wearing?
I love your fashion videos👌
When it did work for me all i wore was jeans with boots and tshirt with light jacket and always clean shaved
@-TeIegra.m_RealCourtneyRyan and why t.f. would I discuss anything with a scammer, pretending to be Courtney?!🤣
That’s sad .. and not a little beaten .
@@serenityinside1 sad how? Last I checked I'm pretty happy.

Hey Courtney could you do a video on how to overcome the scarcity mindset while dating. And can you include like Practical Tips for Guys that deal with this. I hear you mention men need to change our mindsets from scarcity to abundance But How does one do that? I struggle with this... I can't snap my fingers and *poof* new mind set.
Do you shut of the sources that are giving you the results that reinforce the scarcity mindset? a.k.a(dating apps)
Would you say ask women that you are comfortable around on first dates to just build confidence? (Being Respectful of Course)
Where are some low risk environments that you would recommend to practice this new mindset. (Like a gym of sorts where you can build you mindset muscles)
We South African farmers are some of the best in the world and we wear what you call cargo shorts. We are quality men and are in demand. Its not only a style, it's a lifestyle.

00:05🤖 Courtney Ryan discusses aspects that can make men look less put together or cheap.
00:30🛡 Proper fit is crucial for a polished appearance; ill-fitting clothes can undermine any outfit's quality.
02:45💼 Avoid over-accessorizing; opt for a few well-placed accessories to maintain a minimalist and sophisticated look.
04:15🛠 Neglecting grooming habits can make you appear unkempt; maintain regular grooming for a polished appearance.
06:36🚫 Using too much fragrance can be overpowering and reminiscent of adolescence; moderation is key.
07:37💎 Excessive logos can appear flashy and detract from a refined appearance; opt for subtle branding instead.
08:58👔 Prioritize classic pieces over trendy ones for a timeless wardrobe that withstands fashion cycles.
10:57🎨 Be mindful of color combinations to avoid garish or mismatched outfits; understanding color theory helps.
12:40👕 Wrinkles and creases can make even expensive garments look cheap; invest in proper garment care.
13:36🙈 Avoid outfits that leave little to be desired; maintain modesty and class in your attire and behavior.
