By the way, there's really no chance of overfilling a butane insert. These inserts are designed to withstand the equalization pressure with the tanks that hold the fuel, so as long as the source of fuel is one of these canisters, there's no chance of catastrophic insert failure, unless there's some actual problem of course.

I have the butane Zippo torch insert and the instructions say to fill it for 5 seconds and that's it. Also I notice you're losing a lot of fuel spraying out all over. This happened when I tried to first fill it with Clipper butane fluid. Now I use the Colibri brand butane with a nozzle that fits perfectly with the Zippo insert so that when refilling the lighter there is no loss of fuel.

I assume the flint debris goes somewhere. Wonder if anyone else has had a problem with that Joe?

Those inserts are cool, but a Zippo is best as it's been, but that's just me.
