Wind shear is easily the best one handed weapon in the game, it has a broken enchantment which staggers an enemy every single hit. Also, it doesn’t need to be refilled.

You got it pre lvl 46, after this it does 40 points of bonus damage to dragons. +Frodo B. I don't think swords are for warriors. warriors for me are barbaric, using axes or maces with shields, while a king, rogue or someone of elegance uses the sword.
***** Based off of Skyrim, a warrior IS actually axe and shield, as portrayed in the level up menu and on the guardian stones, however it IS possible that a warrior could trade out for perhaps a sword, or sometimes dual wield. Also, the word for a fighter who uses sword and shield is a perri'er, such as a paladin or knight.
I agree with Frodo B. Swords are in my opinion the best choice for melee characters. They have the most unique weapons out of all the weapon choices, their perks allow them to deal critical damage, and they have a very fast attack speed. Although their attack range is shorter than most other weapons, it really doesn't matter since you're going to get up close and personal with your enemy while using melee anyway. I mean, it's not like you're going to be 50 feet away from them. No, you're going to be up in their face slashing away at them. However, for a heavily armoured enemy, you may want to switch to a mace instead with the Bonebreaker perk, to ignore up to 75% of their armour. However, I only recommend a mace if you're dual-wielding with the Dual Flurry perk since otherwise the attack speed of a mace is quite slow. War axes, in my opinion, are damn near useless. As for two-handed, I just can't recommend them at all because of how slow they are and there's no way to increase their attack speed since they don't have a perk similar to Dual Flurry. Now if you don't mind slow attacks, then I can recommend the warhammers in particular because of their ignoring of armour. Very helpful for enemies with heavy and strong gear.
dapoculos13 I get what you're saying, and I probably don't need to tell you how mainstream swords are, But as an axe user, I do not understand why you would say they're useless. First of all (to clarify again) Bethesda portrays the warrior as using axe and shield, that wasn't my own opinion, even though it makes a lot of sense. But as I was saying, Swords are fast, but weak, Maces are slow, but strong, and axes are just balanced, which I like. Also, their special ability is useful in nearly all situations, without the chance restriction of sword crits. Bonebreaker weakens them, allowing you to more easily finish them off. Not to mention, Which I doubt you knew already, Axes have a higher default crit chance, and allow you to travel 30% further with power attacks. My character is a warlock, so I use axes with illusion spells, causing almost definite enemy paralysis. Swords would just... well... hit them. I guess you could say... swords just don't cut it... heh heh
You didn’t really seem to go into any hidden enchantments when you were deciding which weapons were better than others. For instance, Windshear’s hidden enchantment (which effectively stuns the opponent for every regular attack you do, without them having to even be heavy attacks) instantly makes it the most powerful weapon in the game in my opinion. True, its damage is relatively weak, but if you can fight anything in the game except bosses like Harkon becauss you just continuously prevent your opponent from moving or attacking, you just need a bit of patience to take down any foe. The point is, when you have a weapon whose enchantment doesn’t need recharging and makes it stun even dragons with every hit, that is a damn good sword. This kind of turned from my argument to include hidden enchantments in the video to me ranting about why Windshear is the best sword in the game, but both are true. And you can’t change my mind about the second one.
I've uninstalled all my mods and i still have this one handed Oblivion assed looking sword called Naomi's Sword. Can't find any info on it anywhere, and all the mods i used were for better graphics and performance. None had items listed in what they did so I REALLY don't understand how I'm 1-shotting Elder Dragons on the highest difficulty.
Ghostblade can be quite powerful since it can ignore armor. So every hit is like attacking a naked enemy. Another thing I had forgot and looked up at the wiki, as it stated that it is the second lightest weapon in the game and it uses very little stamina.
Bethesda definitely favored magic blades. Harkons sword is nice if you need to fight as a vampire during the day, but is uses an incredible amount of soul gems. You almost can't have too many.
Many people consider Chillrend to be the 'best' One-Handed Sword in Skyrim, and while I do agree with that to some extent, there are a few things you should do before acquiring it: -Get the Whirlwind Sprint Shout -Wait until level 46+ -Get both tiers of the 'Augmented Frost' perk -Get the 'Glass Smithing' perk -Get 100 in Smithing -Acquire gear with the 'Fortify Smithing' enchantment The reason for these are as follow: -You can glitch yourself into the manor where the sword is held -Level 46+ means the sword will be at its full strength -The Augmented Frost perk increases the strength of its enchantment -The sword is affected by smithing perks -You can upgrade the weapon to 'Legendary' -Your upgrades to it will be significantly stronger If all of this is done, with 100 in One-Handed and all tiers acquired in the 'Armsman' perk, Chillrend can have a damage of over 100 when fully upgraded at a grindstone. While all of these unique weapons, as with any weapon, can be very powerful in the correct situation, I strongly advise only using weapons where they benefit from Smithing perks so you can improve them twice as much and significantly increase their overall damage.
+Flynn Asher I'm talking about the actual damage number when looking at the weapon in your inventory. If you're talking about the same thing, then 6-8 billion simply isn't possible without some sort of trick, console commands, or hack. Additionally, I wasn't at 100 One Handed or had all of the Armsman perk stages at the time. Sorry for the late reply.
At the end of the dark brotherhood questline on the emperors ship, there is a unique sword at the end of the ship on a long, wooden pole. It staggers enemies on hits
Some items have hidden enchantments one I can think of is bloodthorn it actually hit way above what you expect and burns health from the target not just the soul trap. Other weapons with seemingly no extra enchantment damage sometimes hit way faster as a “hidden” property
Didn't see it in the top 50 comments, so I will mention it here. The Pale Blade, located I believe somewhere near Morthal, was a unique variant of the Ancient Nordic swords, which you missed. had a sweet enchantment on it, too. Better than almost anything on the list, even.
Just going to say, the Shiv isn’t ‘Unique’ per say, I believe there are 3 or 4 in the game, you can get 3 from siding with madanach in the ‘No one escapes Sidhna Mine’ quest.
Fun fact the Notched Pickaxe is a reference to Notch the creator of Minecraft. Both Bethesda and Mojang planned on releasing they're new games on the same day November 11th 2011 but couldn't due to slow development on Mojang's part and rushed development on Bethesda's part.
Random fact, if you use a mace as main weapon (like me) and you want to give it soul steal, make it one second within dying, the counter will always reset per swing due to the length of such to be carried out making every swing (provided you have the soul gems to do so) guaranteed to steal the soul of such creature, maximum damage for one handed, with soul steal, or more with the double enchantment skill, Please thank me later and don't argue if you already knew this, I'm just informing others who were unaware, thank you for your time :D
Logan Calaway - I can't reply to your comment directly because there is no option to reply. The rusty mace has been left out because it is a quest item that you don't get to keep upon completing the quest.
If your playing on Switch there is the Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series. You can get it from any Zelda Amiibo or at the throat of the world.
Items with no enchantment but a cool unique look are actually the best ones, you can usually put much better enchantments on them than anything the game could offer.

Blade Swords are not unique (there's one in Delphine hidden room, and a few at Sky Haven). Neither are the Lunar weapons (it's an enchantment, not a weapon). The Blade of Woe unique characteristic is the fact it can be upgraded without ingots, or ingredients. And Miraak Sword lightness is a killer! It will swing about twice as fast as one-handed sword with similar base damage. I don't think any weapon has a higher dps output than Miraak's sword.

ADZE3000 if I remember correctly you get it after beating the first dragon and talking to the jarl of white run
Umm u can keep the rusty mase if u put it on a weapon wrack and continue the quest believe me I have both of the masses
is Kahvozein's fang a unique dragon priest dagger? just a random dagger i found in high gate ruins lol
and Mehrunes' Razor have 2 % to instakill enemy . its good against dragons ^^ |
and Chillrend is maximum stronger if its obtained on level 45+
The Bloodthorn also has a hidden enchantment that steals the enemy's health.
11:50
"Next up we have Red Eagles Bane which has a base damage of 11/Next up we have Red Eagles Bane which has a base damage of 11."
Why u repeat urself lol
For those who don’t know, dragonbane is also leveled, maxes out after lvl 46. Dragon dmg 40, same 10 shock…
P.S. shock dmg does not apply magicka dmg unlike other weapons featuring similar enchantments
I like swords the most. Swords for the melee warrior type, and daggers for the sneaky assassin type.
Swords would just... well... hit them.
I guess you could say... swords just don't cut it... heh heh
Stormy Games I still think they're worthless.
You can even kill Alduin with wind shears enchantment
It's a bug, not an hidden enchantment, that's why he didn't cover it i belive
Bethesda definitely favored magic blades. Harkons sword is nice if you need to fight as a vampire during the day, but is uses an incredible amount of soul gems. You almost can't have too many.
And they had pulled their punches with their Elder Scrolls games. Or lost their way.
Same with bloodthirst, you have to recharge constantly, but SO WORTH IT
Due to a bug, I have two Dawnbreakers. Pretty awesome for quests with undead enemies.
Eygam1 Dude you must be slaughtering everything!
That has happend to me with the red red eagle so I have one of each
nuclearaxe979 blue and red
If you have 70 in pickpocketing and have the appropriate perk you can actually get 2 blade of woes from the dark brotherhood.
Klassic Badz If the 5 tenets would still have been in effect you would have invoked the wrath of Sithis.
Many people consider Chillrend to be the 'best' One-Handed Sword in Skyrim, and while I do agree with that to some extent, there are a few things you should do before acquiring it:
-Get the Whirlwind Sprint Shout
-Wait until level 46+
-Get both tiers of the 'Augmented Frost' perk
-Get the 'Glass Smithing' perk
-Get 100 in Smithing
-Acquire gear with the 'Fortify Smithing' enchantment
The reason for these are as follow:
-You can glitch yourself into the manor where the sword is held
-Level 46+ means the sword will be at its full strength
-The Augmented Frost perk increases the strength of its enchantment
-The sword is affected by smithing perks
-You can upgrade the weapon to 'Legendary'
-Your upgrades to it will be significantly stronger
If all of this is done, with 100 in One-Handed and all tiers acquired in the 'Armsman' perk, Chillrend can have a damage of over 100 when fully upgraded at a grindstone.
While all of these unique weapons, as with any weapon, can be very powerful in the correct situation, I strongly advise only using weapons where they benefit from Smithing perks so you can improve them twice as much and significantly increase their overall damage.
100 attack damage? My sword does 6-8 bil damage
Sorry for the late reply.
dapoculos13 I use the rest glitch
*resto
+Flynn Asher That's so boring^^
take a shot each time he says "very powerful"
Little correction about Bloodthorn, it has an unlisted Drain Health effect. So it drains target health AND casts soul trap.
Very cool hearing Wardruna playing in the back ground!
I love how you have Wardruna in the background.
Kinda fitting. 👍
1:16 Daggers
4:25 Maces
5:56 Swords
12:28 Axes
thank you so much
@@retrogamer4life53 made it for myself but happy someone got some use from it
0w0 who is this nice person
Thanks
At the end of the dark brotherhood questline on the emperors ship, there is a unique sword at the end of the ship on a long, wooden pole. It staggers enemies on hits
Loving the background music. Wardruna is a favorite of mine.
Blade of Woe..
Astrid.. :'(
Are you standing up for her? She tried to kill you!
Alex Henderson I still think it's sad :'(
But she tried to kill the Dovahkiin and every other member of the Dark Brotherhood!
Alex Henderson Noooo not every other member!! Only the Dovahkiin because she wanted to save the Brotherhood!
Alex Henderson At least, that's what I remember
When you realize molag bal's mace is one of his testicles
Good to know vivec saved some of daddy bal's love for us
The Mace of Molag BALL... Thought it looked kinda hairy.
@C01d R4m3n I can only imagine the pain experienced by the women he raped when creating the first vampire.
@@lurkenvoncurken518 oh ysmir...
Yeah right jajajjaja
The Battle Axe "Okin" and the Sword "Eduj" are actually a set to each other. One of the more useful sets in Skyrim imo.
+Mike Shaver-Miller Yeah when I made the video i confused the Blade of the Pale and the Pale Blade as the same weapon.
Camelworks you forgot to add a unique pickaxe know as Rock spliter it's been a wile since you made the video so I don't know if this really matters.
Mike Shaver-Miller not better than windshear
Nice, I like the addition of Wardruna playing in the background
Just going to say, the Shiv isn’t ‘Unique’ per say, I believe there are 3 or 4 in the game, you can get 3 from siding with madanach in the ‘No one escapes Sidhna Mine’ quest.
I'm absolutely in love with the background song!
What is the name of it?
Fun fact the Notched Pickaxe is a reference to Notch the creator of Minecraft.
Both Bethesda and Mojang planned on releasing they're new games on the same day November 11th 2011 but couldn't due to slow development on Mojang's part and rushed development on Bethesda's part.
Chillrend's base damage is also leveled, with base damage ranging from 10 - 15.
The best weapon in the game is The Legendary Iron Sword, I love killing them butterflies.
The rusty mace has been left out because it is a quest item that you don't get to keep upon completing the quest.
you left out the unique staff that caused all the people in dawnstar nightmares
+Owen Garbrant check out his other video called unique bows and staffs
keening doesn't do that to Enemies! It absorbs YOUR ATRIBUTES
+Riley Gutheridge ???
+sonicj Polygon ???
i'm honestly surprised Camelworks didn't add the Knife and Fork weapons to the list, they are both unique and one handed weapons.
Hearing Helvegen as a background music combined with a skyrim video about unique weapons.... perfection
1:35 Blade of Woe, 5:17 Mace of Molag Bal, 8:04 Chillrend, 11:14 Nightengale Blade
Why
Yes i must translate from english to englisher.
You're playing Warduna-Helvegen in the background?
DBJMK Yep
Powerfull music
I didn't even notice until I saw this comment
Best music
No
Nice, was wondering what song it was. Quite enjoyed it in the background.
Love the Wardruna in the background, my friend.
If some of you are searching for the music at the beggining of the video, it is Wardruna, Helvegen
Wythax I thought it was Darude - Sandstorm.
+The Phantom of the Pizzeria your name made me laugh XD
Kobirita Lol
Dawnbreaker is My Favouritest Malay weapon in the game
If your playing on Switch there is the Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series.
You can get it from any Zelda Amiibo or at the throat of the world.
6:03 is the weapons I use.
Run that with Bolars Oathblade and Dragonsbane to unleash your inner super weeb
Red Eagle's Bane was said twice :P
THATS WHAT I SAID! HAHAHAHAHA 👍🏼👊🏻😂
Alex Dariar he tends to be redundant at times
cod freaks he probably didn't like the way he said it and meant to edit it out
Cause there are two red eagle weapons
that's what I said
Items with no enchantment but a cool unique look are actually the best ones, you can usually put much better enchantments on them than anything the game could offer.
You forgot kahvozeins fang it's a dragon priest dagger skin found at high gate ruins at the end of the quest a scroll for anska In a chest in the room where you learn a word of storm call
Camelworks I swear, there was a unique Dragon Priest Dagger that is used in a quest to gather heartscales. Kahvozein's Fang
There is.
SCP Pinkamena He said that he isn't doing quest items because after the quest is over, you lose the sword
Jordan Peterson I did the quest and still have it
Jordan Peterson Dagger*
SCP Pinkamena I didn't do the quest randomly found the dang dagger and cant get rid of it because its a quest item and the guy that you do the quest for is one ive looked every where lol my skyrim broke
Digging the Wadruna back music
Blade Swords are not unique (there's one in Delphine hidden room, and a few at Sky Haven). Neither are the Lunar weapons (it's an enchantment, not a weapon).
The Blade of Woe unique characteristic is the fact it can be upgraded without ingots, or ingredients. And Miraak Sword lightness is a killer! It will swing about twice as fast as one-handed sword with similar base damage. I don't think any weapon has a higher dps output than Miraak's sword.
Lunar can only be found in one place and you dont think you can find the inchantment anywhere else so it is unique
The ghost sword goes through armor and deals raw damage.
I'm sad, nobody ever talks about Grimsever
its twohanded no?
@@thomasmartin1514 no it's a one handed glass sword
I was randomly recommended this video. Nice nostalgic throwback
my first playthrough i killed alduin with one hit from that mehrunes' razor lol
lol nice lie
slick rivers anyone can
slick rivers I guess you don't know what the razor is? It has an enchant that allows you to kill something in one shot, also, I have killed him in one shot with my fists, call me out on a lie, go ahead, because there is something that modders can do to do things as such, but when calling someone out on a lie, get your facts straight before being an ass.
CLAWS
+slick rivers It is actually true, it always happens.
You forgot the fork and the knife
StoneSupreme truee
There are 2 locations to obtain them.
Also, there is an in-game glitch that Bloodthorn doesn't reveal its second enchantment. Yes, it has a SECOND enchantment. Its second enchantment makes it Absorb Health.
I have the dawnbreaker. The divine (Or known as a god) Meridia gave it to me on a quest, I actually was being hunted by Imperials and ran into Meridia's Shrine.
CALIKO707 She's not actually a divine, she's a Daedric Prince (well, technically, she isn't a Daedra either, she's a magna ge, but is still counted as a Daedric Prince).
Well, she WAS a Magna Ge, but she was cast down for associating with the Daedra.
You missed The Pale Blade
You are the goat for playing Helvegen, I had that song blasting while beasting on Alduin and taking over Whiterun
some one didnt want to do much editing
someone* didn't*
What's that music playing in the background? Gonna have to pick that up
+Samuel Turnmire Wardruna - Helvegen
+Camelworks I remember this song in the show vikings. so cool!
+Samuel Turnmire it's wardruna. you can actually buy teir album off of vikingstvstore.com
Wardruna: Helvegen
Norwegian band, they're on spotify
Samuel Turnmire the name of the song is helvegen by wardruna
Can't believe you used Wardruna for the songs in the background. Knew that it sounded familiar. Awesome video and music, you earn my like , sir!
i think most of us already know how broken windshear really is
Its_me_aiden it is a overrated sword
poke stitch No it Isn't, it already staggers the Enemy therefore they can't move, it's the best weapon in the game.
OMG YOU LISTEN TO WARDRUNA? Guys, the song in the background is called Helvegen by Wardruna :)
Wardruna is the bomb :)
camelworks Gaming apsolutely
camelworks Gaming lol I just got the lucky dagger without noing it was the right quest
No, it's darude-sandstorm :)
***** Think same
Just noticed the Wardruna in the background. Helvegen is such a badass song; it fits Skyrim perfectly.
Warduna Helvegen in the background!!!
can someone explain "base damage" and why its less then what it normally says?
LowBudgetVids base damage is the damage of the weapon without any perks or training with one handed, it's the damage that gets multiplied by perks and upgrades
The Compadre thank you!
Base damage is the damage of the weapon without any perks or smithing bonus changing it.

You are missing Queen Freydis’ Sword. It is found in the palace of kings if you did the legion questline and if you did the quest for it, it’s in a locked weapon display case
11:48-11:52 he said it twice
Illuminati confirmed.
I lost my mace of molag bal because of weapon racks
Came for the weapons, stayed for the badass Wardruna track in the background.
Does anyone know where he is? Like where is the location?
I want to know the same thing
Are you going to assassinate him
in the hearthfire dlc you can make houses and you can make a secret treasure room.
