You're missing the point of the battle axe of fiery souls, you can disenchant it and you get the soul trap + fire damage enchantment, with the perk to put 2 enchantments on you can make a weapon that drains health, does fire damage and soul traps.
I personally would prefer if it worked how it did in Oblivion. People do not treat an attack with this weapon as an assault (and still absorbs health too). Useful for Dark Brotherhood missions. The downside is that witnesses will still see it as an assault, so you still have to be careful.
VokunKendovJosh Heh, that weapon exists in Skyrim. If you install a mod that places a massive chamber in Whiterun, right behind the forge at Battlemaidens, it leads to what looks like a huge test area. And there are multiple storages in a long hallway. In one, it contains all unique weapons. And there are two versions of the Ebony Blade, the Oblivion version, and the Skyrim version. Looks like Bethesda were considering to give the Ebony Blade the same effect, but decided against it due to the time gap between Oblivion and Skyrim, and made it the way it is because of how long it went without being used.
Wahyu Nur yeah it's great for fighting dragons! only downside is that it causes you to be stunned for a 1 second if the ward is broken, just like a ward spell, except the higher level ward spells can take 80+ damage compared to the spellbreakers 50.
+DapimpBDSD yeah, but standard wars spells cost magica, isn't effective when used by a warrior class, and can't do shit about physical damage. Spell breaker is better.
assassin clark You can be all three. Just limit your perk choices and apply them to what would be your most consistent play style. I'd say focus on One-Handed, Sneak, Restoration, and either types of armor. Destruction Magic is pretty meh in the end unless you really focus on it but Conjuration gets you lots of good summoning options. The Master Level spells of all 3 schools are just not worth it so theres that worry out the window. Restoration has a perk where your healing spells also heal stamina too, and I can't stress how good that is for any type of warrior build.
Brandon Withnell i know that much, but when i turn it around in my inventory it makes my head hurt, and it makes an optical illusion of some kind, and that is what makes my head hurt.
+Derpius Mcherp Yeah really! Whenever I see someone post Darude - Sandstorm, I want to hit them with Trollsbane so badly. I listened to the song, it's terrible, and I'm getting sick of people posting that comment.
+Last Dragonborn Oh! That's one of those really annoying songs that my friend Austin listens to. Luckily I haven't heard him listening to it since about 8 months ago. it sounds like 6 other songs that he told me were different for they were remixed, or remastered... See I prefer 60's, 70's, and 80's. (Including "Rick Astley" no matter what people say)

Bloodskal blade is my favorite weapon in the game, even though you can get WAY better with enchanted Daedra and Dragon weapons it's appearance and function is so badass
the bloodskal blade is really cool because you can actually wield it while in ethereal shout, essentially making you an invincible slice and dice machine temporarily. very cool and useful from time to time.
Your video's allways make me wanna replay skyrim everytime i watch one . I think the bloodskal blade is the best 2 handed weapon in the game . And the range attack is so useful .
I fell like Auriel's shield is really underrated by the community. for those who don't know, 15 strikes on it is a free unrelenting force shout at full power. with no cool down time i found this shield really useful
If anyone wants to know how to get the Headsman's Axe, you can actually get it without any DLCs. When you go to Solitude for the first time, you get to see Rogvir's execution. The headsman that executes him stays in Solitude afterwards, and can usually be found in the prison or walking the streets. After a short quest (I don't remember what it is, but it's pretty easy) he can become your follower. Not all that usefull as a battle companion, but you do get to take the axe from his inventory :)
headsman's axe and ebony blade both are interesting in that they benefit from the one-handed skill tree but train two-handed. they're pretty good if you've got a one-handed character that is trying to branch into two-handed combat.
Slender Man 186 roasted troll gives Troll fat, used in alchemy. so it'd just be a really, REALLY salty potion. I don't know what effects it would have xD
Auriels shield is my favourite. Unique skin and the only other thing in the whole game that can blast away foes. Also the shield of solitude and the axe of fiery souls are cool too, because of the unique enchantment. Disenchant them and you have magic-resistance twice (one regular found everwhere and one extra, it's a bit weaker though...) and soul-trap plus firedamage (it would have been cooler, if you could increase the firedamage not the soultrap-time...) .

My Dragonborn started out as a basic sword and shield, but when I learned about the ebony blade, I was like, “Yes please!” It now does 32 damage with two handed boosts and enchanted item boosts, as well as the capped health drain of thirty. Sucks that you can’t Smith it but it’s still awesome
Targe of the Blooded is not good for protecting yourself, but the bleeding damage actually IS useful - even though it is only 15 damage with each bash, remember that bleeding damage completely ignores armor. It can be a pretty good damage source if the target is heavily armored.
Great video, very informative. To fill in the gap about the Ebony Blade, you need to sacrifice ten people who trust you enough to be a follower to fully charge the blade. Typically, after every two sacrifices, Mephila, the daemon the sword belongs to, will speak through the blade, encouraging you to kill some more. Once the blade is fully charged, you cannot be killed by anything alive. The only thing that still poses a threat is dwarven machines and traps. The amount of health it drains trumps any need for health potions except for those rare enemies that are good with a bow. Also, strangely enough, the Ebony Blade's power is amplified by 1-handed perks, not 2-handed perks. Which means you can use this sword to infinitely level by constantly reverting your two-handed skill back down to 15 without suffering any damage loss while wielding it. When charging it up, I usually take my follower to the alchemist shack. It has a fenced in yard that prevents them from fleeing if I am blocking the door with my body. You only have to charge it up once, but to get ten victims, you will need to travel around a lot, and pay some mercenaries to make it go faster.
Fun Fact: The Bloodskal energy wave actually does extra damage to Zahkriisos, the dragon priest that serves as the boss of the dungeon where you aquire the Bloodskal Blade. 30 extra damage if the player is less than level 50 and 50 extra damage if the player is at or above level 50.
Did you know the Ebony blade counts as both one handed and two handed weapon, Increasing either skill to 100 will affect its damage making it a powerful weapon to carry around. Keep up the good work, your videos help me find things I haven't found yet.
Cool thing about spellbreaker is it also protects against dragons breath. It was my go to shield for fighting dragons. Well... For my Skyrim playthrough a in general.
+TehJuggalo93 My favorite shield, by far. I even found an Orcish Shield once that had a "Protects 35% more" enchantment and still would choose Spellbreaker over that.
The Lone Outlaw yup. I had a heart attack when I realized I heard Helvegen because I was just thinking about that exact song and then boom. I could hear it in the video and I was extremely confused 😂
With the ebony blade and rueful axe it should be noted that the ebony blade swings at the same speed as a sword and the rueful axe swings slower than a warhammer
Of course, dude, but it is officially impossible. I read it many times in other sites, and also, the "abomination against Ebony blade" journey mentions, something like that, that it can't be melted by the hottest fire....
***** Of course, dude, but it is officially impossible. I read it many times in other sites, and also, the "abomination against Ebony blade" journey mentions, something like that, that it can't be melted by the hottest fire.... But read it in Elder scrolls wikia. It will write, that it is unable to upgrade.
The axe of fiery souls isn't enchanted twice. It's the one effect. Meaning if u disebchant it, u get the fiery souls enchantment. This gives u soul trap + fire damage and only takes 1 enchantment slot, meaning with 100 enchanting and the prerequisite perk, u can put ANOTHER enchantment on ur weapon as well. Also for some reason, if u put fiery soul trap on first, it increases the power of the second enchantment u pick.
You forgot to mention (or didn't know) that the Headsman's Axe, while fairly low base damage and has no enchantment, it has the longest melee range in the entire game. Plus it can be enchanted. So even with the low base damage, you can hit them without being able to be hit yourself.
you forgot to tell every body how godlike the long hammer is when u use elemental fury with all 3 words plus upgraded to legendary. (128-140dmg) i dont know how to get it higher than that.
So I'm just curious, what is everyone's favorite Two-Handed weapon in Skyrim? Mine would definitely be Champion's Cudgel, simply because of the enchantment. Your favorite doesn't have to be the most powerful or useful, just the one that you personally like the most for your playstyle. Please only list weapons that you have acquired and have had a fair amount of time to use in a fight.
Yea its the bottom of the barrel as you found it damage level.. . It depends on what level you are at when you find it too.. . . The higher your level the more damage a weapon will have when you grab it... .. .
By the way, I don't know if this is the case of all unique weapons, but the Champions Cudgel can be disenchanted for Chaos Damage, which would be it's enchantment. It's pretty neat. :P
hi new subscriber and i like the video and have a question that hopefully some1 can answer what is the difference between base damage and regular damage thanks for the help to whoever answers this
Hi mate, welcome to the channel! Base damage is the damage of a weapon when no skill or skill tree perks are applied to it. So say a two-handed axe has a base damage of 10, and your characters two-handed skill is 50. The axe will display a damage much higher than 10, only because the axe's damage is being influenced by your characters skill with two-handed weapons.
I sure do, I have all unique heavy armor, all unique light armor, all unique clothing (robes included). You can find links in the description, or at the end of the video. Or you can just go to my channel and find them there. Hope they help you :)
Doctor Fate you either have to pickpocket or kill the executioner in solitude, he's found wandering around the city or in the dungeons. He's the same guy who chopper the head off of rogviir when you first enter solitude.
Just fyi, Hjaalmarch is pronounced like "Hyaalmarch". It's a German/nordic j, which is pronounced like an English y. (Like how Jorrvaskr is pronounced "Yorrvasker") Incidentally, occasionally characters in game, Nords even, will pronounce the j like an English j. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head, but it happened to me when I was playing earlier. Great video though!
Ralof pronounces Juniper with a regular J sound in the intro sequence. I think the old way with the Y sound is more of an Atmoran dialect. (The Atmorans being the ancestors to the Nords.)
Yeah, that's one case. Incidentally, Juniper is from the middle English Junipere, which is in turn from the Latin Juniperus. Lacking the Germanic roots, there's no reason to pronounce it with the German J, and instead the English/Latin J is used. In a case like Hjaalmarch though, it make sense to use the German J. Even if it were never spoken in game, trying to pronounce it with an English J is just impossibly awkward, as our narrator has so aptly demonstrated.
Very true. Good insight! It's probably a very good thing that all the Nords don't speak with a very heavy Scandinavian accent. It's always interesting to see how game developers can take the things we know and weave them into something so new, yet so old and established. Gotta hand it to the Bethesda team. They can really generate a rich world and lore to match.
In Assassin's Creed 4, if you play with the subtitles on, you'll notice that all of the nouns are capitalized. The reason is because that's how English was written back in the early 1700's, because English as a language (and a people) is descended from German, which incidentally is still written that way today.
Auriel's Shield, and Spellbreaker always winning. Auriel's shield with the stored energy is like a max Unrelenting Force shout, also having perks in blocking to mitigate elemental damage makes Spellbreaker one of the best "mage-bane" type of shields.
tip for the ebony blade: if you're high enough level to have the dead thrall spell, you can use that to repeatedly raise a corpse, and necromantic minions count as friendly. thus, you can grind on a single dead body to charge it up to full.
The Blooded shield is the coolest looking one. I hate using shields but even I wanted to keep it when I saw it. Unlike those fancy-looking over-designed messes. Then the Solitude one has a good effect but it looks like a random guard's shield.
helpful tip: if you use the chaos enchantment (champion's cudgel) with all the elemental damage boost and you have the augmented damage perks (destruction tree) you can do 162 dmg with one element.
The nice thing about the fiery souls ax, is that it is only one enchantment. Combine that with straight fire damage or chaos enchantments and it gets very strong.
the fiery souls axe can be disenchanted for the fiery soul trap enchantment, allowing you to have 3 enchantments if you have the duel enchanter perk (soul trap, fire damage and another one you choose, possible chaos)
Many of the items you covered in all three videos have been put on display (to an extent) in all of my player homes (divisions made when necessary) based on certain circumstances-- ancient Nordic in Whiterun for example. Also, I have my weapons of Winterhold on display at Hjarchen Hall with those of The Pale since: 1. The two holds are more/less neighbors 2. There aren't any display racks (if memory serves) at the Mage's College I SHOULD consider playing again while taking an acquaintance's recommendation of immediately joining the Companions before doing anything else aside from the main story; the thieves and assassins will still be avoided if at all possible.
The battle axe of fiery souls is useful because you can disenchant it. Because you can only put two enchantments on an item, the enchant on fiery souls counts as ONE enchant, so you could enchant something else on it, and still have soul trap.
I can hear that Wardruna in the background 😂. I was thinking of Helvegen (When you were showing Bloodskal) then I heard it when you were showing the Ebony Blade and I had a heart attack 😂😂😂
I upgraded Bloodskal Blade to superior and its sell price was 666.
Too spooky for me
Coincidence? I think not.
Believe it or not you can get your carry weight to exactly 666. And bad things WILL HAPPEN!
I upgraded all my stuff like that. It's fun when you get swarmed and no real damage is done to you
alxanny actually that has happened to me in all the play throughs where I upgraded it
Lol
My blade of whiterun was an iron mace
David Wilson rip

With a decent amount of stamina the Targe of the Blooded becomes amazing as the effect stacks. Smith its defenders and it becomes great!
Do I hear Wardruna in the background?! I DO! Helvegen I believe? Amazing group.
The Lone Outlaw yup. I had a heart attack when I realized I heard Helvegen because I was just thinking about that exact song and then boom. I could hear it in the video and I was extremely confused 😂
With the ebony blade and rueful axe it should be noted that the ebony blade swings at the same speed as a sword and the rueful axe swings slower than a warhammer
my axe of whiterun turned out to be a one-handed war axe
Same fam
I had an elven greatsword of frost once

The Ebony Blade is special in two other things. It has no limit of using, no need to recharge. On the other and it is impossible to upgrade it.
impossible? i have it upgraded and no mods :P
No way :D
Really, you shouldn't be able.
Nyári Zsolt well i have mods installed but as far as i know i dont have mods that affect that, you have the perk to upgrade enchanted items?
Of course, dude, but it is officially impossible. I read it many times in other sites, and also, the "abomination against Ebony blade" journey mentions, something like that, that it can't be melted by the hottest fire....

But read it in Elder scrolls wikia. It will write, that it is unable to upgrade.
I'm shocked to see that you don't have at least 1,000,000 subs. you deserve it
You should have mentioned that the Headsman's Axe has the longest range of any melee weapon in the game.
And the fastest swing speed.
tomthefatone nahh there are faster
The axe of fiery souls isn't enchanted twice. It's the one effect. Meaning if u disebchant it, u get the fiery souls enchantment. This gives u soul trap + fire damage and only takes 1 enchantment slot, meaning with 100 enchanting and the prerequisite perk, u can put ANOTHER enchantment on ur weapon as well. Also for some reason, if u put fiery soul trap on first, it increases the power of the second enchantment u pick.
where do you get base damage numbers from wtf
+Timothy O Look up the weapons.
He has perks on this character so the damage isn't the base he says that's why he says them.
the base damage is what the weapons start out with before your good at it say if your level one two- handed what the damage is then is base damage
Mods my guy
@@Kng-hv2qb plenty of ways without mods lol
The champion's cudgel is the only unique item I have ever enchanted because I wanted to get the enchantment for my one handed sword.
I prefer both the Ebony Blade and the Bloodskal Blade
+sean salas Agreed Bloodskall Blade is my favourite: I always imagine myself being Cloud using it. (The limit break: Blade Beam)
+dapoculos13 Volendrung because it looks awesome. And it basically allows you to use power attacks all the time.
I got to choose the bloodskall blade and volundrung. Both are very powerful weapons.
Wuuthrad, because I don't like elves.
Axe of Whiterun and Wuuthrad are actually surprisingly easy to get. xD
6:30 donggawd roon hamma
I have the spell beaker. It us quite possibly the best shield i have ever encountered it even blocks a dragons shout
What does he mean by "base damage"? Is it the damage without any upgrades or leveling?
Yea its the bottom of the barrel as you found it damage level.. . It depends on what level you are at when you find it too.. . . The higher your level the more damage a weapon will have when you grab it... .. .
That why you wait till you over level 65 to go get all the epic weapons
Daaaaamn I didn't notice the Wardruna soundtrack! 😱 Helvegen ❤
the ebony blade is in the base game, right?
if you need to find it go to the banner ed mare and a ask about rumors until they somthing about balgrufs children
+Austin Akerson or you can take a wooden plate and glitch through the wall
+Austin Akerson or you can take a wooden plate and glitch through the wall
+Freddy Fazzbear or fall through the floor or use a platter
yep
By the way, I don't know if this is the case of all unique weapons, but the Champions Cudgel can be disenchanted for Chaos Damage, which would be it's enchantment. It's pretty neat. :P
***** I put the enchantment on my bow. It is killer!
I put it on my Legendary Daedric Bow. So OP
FLuX Official Channel its on my ebony bow and it kicks ass
I think I'm 5 years late
Holy shit i just noticed you used Wardruna for the background music. Earned a sub. 3 years late
hi new subscriber and i like the video and have a question that hopefully some1 can answer what is the difference between base damage and regular damage thanks for the help to whoever answers this
Hi mate, welcome to the channel! Base damage is the damage of a weapon when no skill or skill tree perks are applied to it. So say a two-handed axe has a base damage of 10, and your characters two-handed skill is 50. The axe will display a damage much higher than 10, only because the axe's damage is being influenced by your characters skill with two-handed weapons.
ok thanks i get it now and do you have a video of unique robes/armor
I sure do, I have all unique heavy armor, all unique light armor, all unique clothing (robes included). You can find links in the description, or at the end of the video. Or you can just go to my channel and find them there. Hope they help you :)
thanks i am watching it now very cool
Base DMG - Damage at Lvl 1 with no Perks whatssoever
Regualr - determined by Perks, Lvl etc.
I find it funny how he mispronounces so many of the names. Also, good choice on the background music!
wheres the axe fron the headsman in solitude? btw the ebony blade changes skin when it reaches full power
Doctor Fate you either have to pickpocket or kill the executioner in solitude, he's found wandering around the city or in the dungeons. He's the same guy who chopper the head off of rogviir when you first enter solitude.
Or, you can do a quest for him and make him your follower, then just take it from him.
Doctor Fate it's called the heads mans axe it in the video research before you comment
I think you forgot to look at passive enchant ments on some of these. Like the headsmans ax actually has a longer range.
Your pronunciation made me cringe. otherwise cool video xD
i tend to have that effect
Yeah he doesn't have the accent to say Wuuthrad like that. It hurt me physically.
Just fyi, Hjaalmarch is pronounced like "Hyaalmarch". It's a German/nordic j, which is pronounced like an English y. (Like how Jorrvaskr is pronounced "Yorrvasker")
Incidentally, occasionally characters in game, Nords even, will pronounce the j like an English j.
The reason is because that's how English was written back in the early 1700's, because English as a language (and a people) is descended from German, which incidentally is still written that way today.
wardruna?
Yep.
Já. Helvegen
The reason the executioner axe has such a low base damage is because it has the longest reach of any melee weapon.
Do you like, go out of your way to mispronounce stuff sometimes?
Kriegsblade COODGEL
Maybe he isn't your ethnicity. Other people pronounce stuff differently.
MynasEvolution Race has nothing to do with the way you speak. And he mispronounces things thar are clearly pronounced in game.
oh wait sorry, I meant nationality. It was 2 am when I wrote that comment.
yoy
Excellent use of Waardruna in the background ;D
Oar-Ri-ell.... not _that_ hard...
Auriel's Shield, and Spellbreaker always winning. Auriel's shield with the stored energy is like a max Unrelenting Force shout, also having perks in blocking to mitigate elemental damage makes Spellbreaker one of the best "mage-bane" type of shields.
You use the Aetherial Shield in the case that you're being overwhelmed, so you can get rid of a few enemies and focus on 1 or 2
tip for the ebony blade: if you're high enough level to have the dead thrall spell, you can use that to repeatedly raise a corpse, and necromantic minions count as friendly. thus, you can grind on a single dead body to charge it up to full.
The Blooded shield is the coolest looking one. I hate using shields but even I wanted to keep it when I saw it. Unlike those fancy-looking over-designed messes. Then the Solitude one has a good effect but it looks like a random guard's shield.
I like that you use Wardruna as background music
Don't think I didn't notice Wardruna's "Helvegen" playing in the background. Good song. Gets one in touch with their European roots.
Helsvegen by wardruna playing in the background. I appreciate that music choice.
helpful tip: if you use the chaos enchantment (champion's cudgel) with all the elemental damage boost and you have the augmented damage perks (destruction tree) you can do 162 dmg with one element.
The nice thing about the fiery souls ax, is that it is only one enchantment. Combine that with straight fire damage or chaos enchantments and it gets very strong.
OMG you are playing Helvegen in in the background!!! You are amazing I instantly subscribed the moment I heard it.
the fiery souls axe can be disenchanted for the fiery soul trap enchantment, allowing you to have 3 enchantments if you have the duel enchanter perk (soul trap, fire damage and another one you choose, possible chaos)
Many of the items you covered in all three videos have been put on display (to an extent) in all of my player homes (divisions made when necessary) based on certain circumstances-- ancient Nordic in Whiterun for example. Also, I have my weapons of Winterhold on display at Hjarchen Hall with those of The Pale since:
1. The two holds are more/less neighbors
2. There aren't any display racks (if memory serves) at the Mage's College
I SHOULD consider playing again while taking an acquaintance's recommendation of immediately joining the Companions before doing anything else aside from the main story; the thieves and assassins will still be avoided if at all possible.
The battle axe of fiery souls is useful because you can disenchant it. Because you can only put two enchantments on an item, the enchant on fiery souls counts as ONE enchant, so you could enchant something else on it, and still have soul trap.
the longhammer has the highest DPS in the base game, which I feel makes it very useful
I have a lot of favorites like halberd wuuthrad stormfang champions cludgel ebony blade The long hammer volundrung
I can hear that Wardruna in the background 😂. I was thinking of Helvegen (When you were showing Bloodskal) then I heard it when you were showing the Ebony Blade and I had a heart attack 😂😂😂
Spellbreaker also works against unrelenting force sometimes
Wardruna in the background. Excellent choice.
3:30 You nearly broke there 😂
