Credit to Daniel Craig here. He truly looks like he is down and out. The rough stubble, the bloodshot eyes, the pale complexion. This is a Bond barely keeping it together and the failure of the following tests MI6 put him through are believable. Often you get the ''hero'' in a dark space but it rarely sells, i.e., see Brosnan supposedly tortured for months in North Korea in Die Another Day and yet he looks fresh as roses soon after. Here though, it works. Bond feels, not finished, but hanging by a thread.
When Judi Dench played M in Goldeneye, her character was initially suspected of being too soft and cautious for the job, and not willing to send an agent on a mission if they might be killed. @@czolgistta That's exactly how I've felt all along. There were a couple moments where he nailed being Bond, but the other 99% of the time I felt like I was watching a random agent.
the one thing I loved about Judy's M, is that she was sassy and straight to the point. She was no damsel in destress. She could dish out the insults with the best of them.
Bond's mother figure was M, she lifted him up to the very end by giving him the job inspite of failing and by saying her iqonic line "I did one thing right"
Thomas Newman's score for M with Roger Deakin's cinematography is absolutely perfect. Filming M from across the coffins and then filming Tanner across again, to signify how isolated M is feeling, especially without Bond by her side. This will always be #1
The third Craig Bond film, the very middle of his journey as Bond. This movie was also the best in his run in my opinion, with Casino Royale being a very close second
@Electro Crypto Yep, remember when he told Hillary he was going to lock her up. Many cheered and chanted, lock her up. It was all an act, a play, a theatrical performance. Hollywood can not make TV shows and movies that well. All the fighting and arguing is just a show. They work to promote one agenda.
One of the more profound, well written and acted scenes of all the 007 films. A defining of both characters. Even the lighting and cinematography was well done.
I always thought that Judi Dench’s M really came into its own once they rebooted the series, toughened the whole thing up and allowed her character to be more tetchy and hard-bitten and less cosy and overtly matronly. Oddly enough, it also enabled M to get some really funny lines, such as, When somebody says ‘we have people everywhere’, you expect it to be hyperbole. Florists use the expression. You don’t expect them to have somebody standing in the bloody room!“ from Quantum of Solace. 😆
I have always loved the Bond films, going back even before I saw 'The Living Daylights' on my birthday while studying at Oxford University. With that said, I don't think anyone has ever, or will ever, play Bond better than Daniel Craig. When I see him in that role, I forget he's an actor, and I just see James Bond.
Without question the best bond. Completely realistic, a testament to the actors, especially Craig and Dench. A broken man, tormented by years of service returning to the only person who ever gave him meaning. Whatever you say. Craig was the best, most complete bond
Honestly skyfall is my favorite bond movie. It was such a great story and a good redemption for bond. I loved that he wasnt the same bond because of his injury, yet still was able to hold his own against the villain. Godly villain too. This movie showed exactly why he is james bond. Hands down my favorite of the franchise.
Dan and Judi's Bond/M dynamic is absolute top shelf. Every exchange with them is exhilarating and biting, with some aspect of their relationship always being advanced forward. M is tough but fair, and she really helps to mold Craig's Bond into the man we all love, because she instills in him the principles and disciplines required to do the job to the best of his ability.
Started liking James Bond movies after they brought in Daniel Craig. His stunts feel very original and looks lethal. Perfect for a bond. Roger Federer, for example, although stylish enough in suits to play the bond, doesn't have the "lethal killer" looks :)
y’all, she’s not recognizing James Bond by his silhouette. she just knows there’s no one else on the planet with the knowledge or the audacity to break into her home.
Oh how I will miss them both. The relationship of love and hate between the two made it more interesting and Craig took this to a whole new level and made it his own.
In the deleted scene, M wakes up at 3 am to find James spooning with her in a onesie. She exlaims "Don't ever spoon with me again or I'll have you shot!"
Something I noticed binging all of these Craig era clips is that Bond grows increasingly angry and rugged since Casino Royale. I don't know if its intentional, but Craig really portrays the "dying inside" of this character as he continues to witness tragedy and hardship.
What i really love about this scene is that, like Bond said, M didn't trust him to finish the Job. It's less about him being shot and more to do with the fact that he views M's decision as her losing trust/faith in his abilities, and it's a common theme throughout the film as Bond's age and ability are constantly being mentioned throughout.
I don't know that she didn't trust him so much as She is experienced enough not to let personal feelings get in the way of the mission. For her it isn't about trust or who is the best agent, its getting the mission done, and retrieving that list.
@@mithos56 I was mainly talking about how Bond Percieved her actions because i think in the other craig bond films he probably believes she would've let him deal with the issue himself if that makes sense
The way Bond kind of complains "what did you say 'take the bloody shot '". It gives a peek into his vulnerability and how he's somewhat hurt by M's action. The two are tied together its more than enployer and employee dynamics between them.
James Bond will never be the same after Daniel Craig. He has been the best Bond of the series. I’m 68 and grew up watching 007 ‘s adventures. I loved Sean Connery in the role and although Roger Moore’s era was entertaining he was just a joke in the role. Daniel made James Bond his.
I get a smile when these movies use actual media and cultural figures in them, like Wolf Blitzer here. It's that little bit of extra immersion into the fantasy, and it's nice to know, for instance, that Wolf just might be a Bond-fan.
Craig played Bond the best in my opinion. They should have stopped after Skyfall while they were ahead and got a new Bond, as I believe Craig was fed up at that point
1:18 "I'm going to find whoever did this." Dame Judi Dench has played a wide range of roles and in other contexts those words could imply many things. But that moment specifically says to me - "I'm an experienced battle hardened tactician, these losses were painful and unacceptable, someone is going to die for this." That may be me projecting a bit and reading the scene like that because I know the context. They do say that editing can make far more difference to a shot than anything the actor can do. But I like to believe that Judi Dench's superb acting is at least somewhat responsible for the feeling of this moment.

Comment faites vous pour aimer la profondeur que Greg apporte au personnage de Bond si vous n'avez jamais regardé d'autres films de James Bond ? ? ? vous faites à juste valeur une comparaison....mais ? ? ?
4:11 gee, you would think after she got him shot, the least she could do was give him a place to sleep.
Best Bond ever imho! He was born to play the Legendary Spy 😎🔥
That's the thing, he clearly wasn't. But boy did he ever dig deep and pull it out. That's the most impressive thing about Daniel's reign as 007.
@@Steve-gc5nt"That's the thing, he clearly wasn't." You must be fun at parties.
He was a very good agent but not a Bond. Never felt like I was watching Bond when he had the role. But he was excellent in his own way.
No one is born to play any acting role. Ones importance is far greater than the job they do. They have a life outside it.
@@czolgistta That's exactly how I've felt all along. There were a couple moments where he nailed being Bond, but the other 99% of the time I felt like I was watching a random agent.
"Take the **bloody** shot"
"What do you expect, a **bloody** apology?"
"Well, you're **bloody** well not sleeping here"
How very British 😄
the one thing I loved about Judy's M, is that she was sassy and straight to the point. She was no damsel in destress. She could dish out the insults with the best of them.
Dame Judy Dench definitely has the balls to fill that role.
"Ran out of drink where you were did they?"
M:"the shower might be in order".
Bond:** obediently takes a shower with severine **
The fact I know the lines word for word in this scene just goes to show how much I love this film 😂
Bond's mother figure was M, she lifted him up to the very end by giving him the job inspite of failing and by saying her iqonic line "I did one thing right"
Skyfall is by far the best 007 movies... Story.. Dialogues.. all amazing..
Thomas Newman's score for M with Roger Deakin's cinematography is absolutely perfect. Filming M from across the coffins and then filming Tanner across again, to signify how isolated M is feeling, especially without Bond by her side. This will always be #1
Comme un travelling de gauche avec la fuite en avant de la caméra....c'est parfait
4:00 your face when your mom told she gave your comics books to cousin.
Skyfall set the bar so high, I don't think any other Bond movie would meet that...
The third Craig Bond film, the very middle of his journey as Bond. This movie was also the best in his run in my opinion, with Casino Royale being a very close second
Just watched No Time To Die and SkyFall keeps being the best of Craig’s movies!!
James casually sees a tv in the mirror and turns to reveal him in CLOSE UP as we both watch it. Awesome.
I love her character.
Such a unique, albeit credible charisma.
I don't think you know what *albeit* means.
Wolf Blitzer, He is an actor who plays a News reporter.
CNN Fake News
James Bond and Mommy(M) see right through it
Not very convincingly
I love how she doesn't bring up the fact this is the second time he's broken into her house.
I could do this bit of being James Bond... sitting in a bar looking melancholy... Got that down to a high skill level over the years ! 😎
The inevitability of time don’t you think
Il faut passer des castings....
One of the more profound, well written and acted scenes of all the 007 films. A defining of both characters. Even the lighting and cinematography was well done.
Oui mais quelle scène..celle que l'on voit ? ? ?
I will always LOVE the banter between Dame Judi and Daniel. She was a GREAT "modern M", and Daniel was just........PHENOMENAL!!!
Yep that was when we saw that wall that never had been breached had someone jump over it like it wasn't even there
Always loved the banter between these versions of Bond and M respectively.
Skyfalk made me visit Turkey. I am going to Turkey next week!
Wow I hope you have fun
@@sashaking1111 Thanks bro! I am going to visit the building from the opening scene:)
Nice! Hope you enjoy it and stay safe out there!
Have a good one!
i feel sorry for you!
How do you define realistic? I think perhaps you mean convincing.
Love how Bond conveniently had CNN in English in a random Turkish bar.
You’re overthinking.
Türk servislerdede ingilizce CNN ve BBC var kendisi açtıysa mümkün
ya ikimiz de biliyoruzki kendisi falan açmadı :D
It makes for a better scene than him getting a notification on his phone
CNN in English is pretty common around the world
“Run out of drink where you were did they?” Savage af! Lol I love Judi Dench!
😤"What was it you said? *Take the bloody shot!* "
Avec cette phrase doit-on penser que Bond est alcoolique..? ? ?
Honestly skyfall is my favorite bond movie. It was such a great story and a good redemption for bond. I loved that he wasnt the same bond because of his injury, yet still was able to hold his own against the villain. Godly villain too. This movie showed exactly why he is james bond. Hands down my favorite of the franchise.
"Well you're bloody well not sleeping here" That let Bond know who was boss
"Well what do you expect, a bloody apology?"
I don't know why but I always laugh at that xD
Dan and Judi's Bond/M dynamic is absolute top shelf. Every exchange with them is exhilarating and biting, with some aspect of their relationship always being advanced forward. M is tough but fair, and she really helps to mold Craig's Bond into the man we all love, because she instills in him the principles and disciplines required to do the job to the best of his ability.
From "we need you" to "Well, you’re bloody well not sleeping here!” Judie can change her tone magicallky
Popular Opinion: Every single one of ya'll agrees that James BOND made our day Better:
Agreed.
Well, it couldn't have got any bloody worse.
@@thegrandmuftiofwakanda "it coulldn't have got any bloody worse." ...I take it you haven't seen Spectre?
One of the greatest Bond actor together with Pierce
I like Dr No and Skyfall the most: I watched Dr No in the theater. 😁
By far my most favourite James Bond movie
Me too. Especially lovely in the immersive atmosphere of a real theater.
the way he instantly changes his deminor when he realises its MI6 that's attacked and immidietly returns shows he cares
I love this movie so much. Regardless if it was Bond or not, so well done.
Started liking James Bond movies after they brought in Daniel Craig. His stunts feel very original and looks lethal. Perfect for a bond. Roger Federer, for example, although stylish enough in suits to play the bond, doesn't have the "lethal killer" looks :)
@ESports Academy yo
He ment Roger Moore of course, but go on....
@@TheRX78ONE no
Wondered it too, but he sold me early on. The Bond he portrays is much closer to the character in Ian Fleming's novels.
@CEO of Secularism I meant federer
Lol the thumbnail made me think he is reporting to duty to the bar, lol
Skyfall gets better with time, the hallmark of a great Bond film.
Whoever puts these together when cutting needs to remove their headphones, the sound is rank on all
y’all, she’s not recognizing James Bond by his silhouette. she just knows there’s no one else on the planet with the knowledge or the audacity to break into her home.
Twice, no less!
I like how the made a makeover to this bond film by giving it the indie camera work treatment ! Wish more commercial films get this treatment !
Not every Bond movie with Daniel Craig is great, but Daniel Craig is great in every single one of them.
c'est d'un illogisme A++++++
Excellent writing, direction, acting and editing. A great scene.
Layer cake is still his best movie. Hands down.
Resurrected from Hades and has returned to revelation.
Skyfall. The best bond film.(Period)
The way Bond kind of complains "what did you say 'take the bloody shot '". It gives a peek into his vulnerability and how he's somewhat hurt by M's action. The two are tied together its more than enployer and employee dynamics between them.
Should have been the last Daniel Craig bond ! It was sheer poetry
Wolf Blitzer has been in both 'James Bond' and 'Mission Impossible' franchises.
M:I did it better though
Paid liars
Yeah, and he is a Communist News Network globalist hack.
The old 🐺 Wolfy where the $$$$$ is...

I could have sworn that she told him never to break it in her house again.😅😅😅😅😅
The first sitting shot look like monster 🔥
The rain sets up the mood doesn’t it?
Every movie seems to do this.
Judy Dench is phenomenal...
Two people at the top of their game.
Timothy dalton inspired Craig
@@djm1613 I liked Dalton as Bond, too bad he only lasted such a short time. Remember him in the 80’s film Flash Gordon?
@@fw1421 yup
I get a smile when these movies use actual media and cultural figures in them, like Wolf Blitzer here. It's that little bit of extra immersion into the fantasy, and it's nice to know, for instance, that Wolf just might be a Bond-fan.
"Certainty of losing the list?" That never computed for me. Certainty? Bond was in a fairly good position to end up with it.
Craig played Bond the best in my opinion. They should have stopped after Skyfall while they were ahead and got a new Bond, as I believe Craig was fed up at that point
Agreed.
1:18 "I'm going to find whoever did this." Dame Judi Dench has played a wide range of roles and in other contexts those words could imply many things. But that moment specifically says to me - "I'm an experienced battle hardened tactician, these losses were painful and unacceptable, someone is going to die for this."
That may be me projecting a bit and reading the scene like that because I know the context. They do say that editing can make far more difference to a shot than anything the actor can do. But I like to believe that Judi Dench's superb acting is at least somewhat responsible for the feeling of this moment.
I thought this exactly. That her final unspoken words were, "And I'm going to kill them".
