I always thought "Skyfall" was a code word for something radical that he never expected to hear (like a safe word) but knows the importance of it, so by saying 'Done' he basically is saying 'consider the mission done, I will do what is required of me'. However, I now realize it was intended to provoke him. It's like a lie-detector test; they always start with easy, obvious questions to put you at ease and then just as you're getting into the swing of it and (relaxing) they throw in one of the key questions. In this case, they bring up Bond's childhood,, so he gets pissed off and leaves.
I don't remember much about this movie at all. How does Skyfall bring up his childhood memories?
@@intosilence1773 Skyfall is the name of Bond's childhood home.
Same can be said about why he identifies as English. Skyfall is in Scotland and Bond wants nothing to do with the place
@@intosilence1773 it's the name of the orphanage he grew up in. He was severely abused and neglected, which is why he went into the royal navy, to escape from there.
When I saw the teaser trailer which had this scene, I had thought that maybe Skyfall was the code name for a secret operation, either military or MI6, that Bond was previously involved in, like "Operation Skyfall" (given the UK's use of code names for operations, example Operation Granger, Operation Braid, etc.), and that it would come back to haunt him and MI6. Boy how wrong I was on that.

I went through a nasty depression from addiction and had to pick myself back up. That first week back in the gym was like a detox. When Bond falls to the ground after those chin ups is very relatable for me. More then once that week I had to sneak off to the toilet and collapse/vomit. Felt like I was dying, but felt 1000% better just a few days later, had to be done. I remember at one point I hit the squat rack and a few heavy sets I nearly puked all over the gym floor, just barely made it to the toilet. Fun times.
Amazing strength man. I’m Ona replacement prescription and I’ve been on it far too long, I’m feeling the pain finally coming off that stuff and can totally relate to the dedication to natural improvement and physical rehab helping mental state.

It would even make more sense he gave it after Bond was approved fit for service
I see you watch cinemasins
Perhaps it's part of a/the stress test? A field agent is always on the move and always processing information, a lot of the time under physical and psychological pressure. So perhaps it was also a psych eval. to determine whether Bond could still function well, process the information being given to him and relay answers back to the agent providing it to him under stress
Not gonna lie, I'm really sad to see nobody watching my most recent doc :(
Do you guys have any feedback for me? Was it just a poorly done video?
Edit: Thanks for some of the feedback guys. I can understand for those of you just not interested in League of Legends content anymore, it's just frustrating to constantly see all the other LoL youtubers do so much better in viewership than me when I feel like I'm putting in just as much effort as anyone else. I just wanna understand how I can improve and get to the level of being a real person.
Sorry to everyone who doesn't watch League of Legends UA-cam content. I don't know why YT is recommending this post to you instead of my actual subscribers lol.
Bond being physically evaluated and clearly struggling reminds me of finally being able to go back to the gym after being absent for 18 months due to the pandemic. The pain of realizing you are no longer at your peak hurts...but you have to press on, no matter how unbearable it is.
And it's always easier to come back than it was to first get there.

The England part gives me the shivers.. Such a masterful scene

Loved the subtle passion in that delivery.
I've just noticed this, but given that most directors do at least 3 - 5 takes of the same scene with short breaks in between, these workout scenes are actual workouts in their own way.
I think Skyfall is precisely that film where all must be ended. Perfection
The best Bond. The best chapter of Bond movies. So good they knew it could not be bettered and so did what no one thought could ever be done and killed him, cementing forever this Bond as the greatest of them all.

He’s a bit above the average agent and he’s only receiving the bare bones of it all.
M still trusted Bond enough to put him back to active duty, despite failing the physical.
@@josephjester4917 He didn't fail the physical. It was a mental anyway.
@@cgavin1 you did watch the movie, yes? M said he failed.
He stops when he sees Bond stop at 5 pullups, which is the bare minimum for military standards and likely a fail for a field agent. The aide probably does more than that on his annual physicals and they don't let him carry a gun because he's too weak.
Anyone here after watching the new movie?
I never watched Bond films until Daniel Craig came along. He hooked me in and attracted my attention; ever since then, I have loved every bit of his movies. I love that depth he brings to Bond's character and that part of humanity in him.
His movies literally changed the face of Bond movies. The cinematography, the action sequences, made the movies way more darker that it ever was. Loved how in the end of the interview Daniel talked about rarity of James Bond movies. You've added a part of your personality and life to the cinema history, Mr. Craig, and it is a valuable input.
Thank you Daniel Craig. Thank u for great movies like; Casino Royale, Skyfall and NOW No Time To Die; my favourite Bond movie/ any movie of all time. I'll miss you being my James Bond, the one I grew up watching and still do, reminiscing how cool you are all while still looking up to you. ❤
To whoever is the next James Bond they have got huge shoes to fit in. This gent has been the best Bond ever. His Bond has taken the films into the stratosphere. I’ve loved the series since I was a little and cried as No Time To Die ended. Oh my days what a guy.
Daniel Craig’s time as Bond is already over… 5 films…. 16 years….. where did those years go?! He’s been fantastic as Bond. ❤❤❤❤❤
Daniel Craig has been my personal favourite James Bond, he’s set the standard really high for the next actor whoever they might be and I hope that the film is as good as I’m hoping that it will be. If I ever get to meet the bloke I’ll be sure to buy him a drink or ten to say thanks.
Daniel Craig excels all the James Bonds and brings it to this whole new level. This man made a whole new world with his time frame and the position he was in while playing James Bond. Daniel Craig is the absolute epitome of any actor reforming, improving & developing a movie to a 110% piece of work; always going above and beyond all expectations. Skyfall is the Dark Knight of 007 franchise.
not really. People only praise dark knight because Heath killed himself and, if you criticize the film, they remind you the depressed guy killed himself. Heath was playing Black Mask, not the Joker. I love how they show him at his lowest physical and mental condition here, **SPOILERS (in case you didn't watch the whole movie)**
only to show him pulling off an insane stunt just a bit after. It's maybe not super realistic, but it drives the point home that you should NEVER underestimate him.
When it comes to a real life and death situation, Bond's willpower and experience will simply drive him to do the job.
Yes, it's very clear he finds sterile training boring, that performing exhibitions for admiration and approval from his bosses at the agency a childish exercise. Measure him on the job where he really shines.
the way he says "England" without hesitation whatsoever

1:34 demonstrating 007 knows he sucks at target practice, unless it's in mobile situation. So he tried to show if off.

Yeah Skyfall is regarded as one of the great Bond Films. I suppose it is well directed and well made. However, when it comes to this scene, I just don't the direction they have gone in. I just prefer when Bond's relationship with M is strictly formal. I suppose it is kind of more like the novels. We see Bond in a bad condition after an ordeal.
I think it’s a good thing showing more of a dynamic with M and Bonds relationship it’s more gritty and real and less of a wooden stick up your ass employee / boss picture.
@@Zaneoo7 Hated the Skyfall storyline. I think every mission should be to do with current events. Nothing to do with any previous mission. Bonds childhood and past. Romantic involvement with M? leave all that to the comic books.

When he says 'Done' after Skyfall and cut to the scene with M and 007 staring down on the road to the mansion..., that's some epic film-making..You've got to have some serious balls to make a bond movie like that..!!

Tennyson quote from Ulysses
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
