Please please please Hyundai can we get a digital speedo in the center. I have a 2024 Sonata N-Line and it drives me nuts that you can't have it in the center. I also have a 22 Sonata N-Line which has the digital speedometer in the center thats why I miss it so much in my 24.
@@Enforcer_WJDE wooooow very true you know nothing about designs cause Hyundai Kia and specially Genesis have the most design language ever than before.
@@Enforcer_WJDEI actually like that better than companies shoe horning the design into every vehicle they make, either making them look all the same, or ruining a good design by forcing other model design elements. The worst offender of this is Mercedes. Now all Mercedes look exactly the same, with only the size being different.
It's impressive seeing what Hyundai Group is doing in the EV space while all the other traditional manufacturers are floundering. Electrification is shaking everything up and the Koreans are shaping up to be one of the winners.
Interesting, was watching the review on Car Scene Korea and they were able to open up the bottom of the frunk to show a much deeper storage well with bag hooks available on the rear wheel drive model. Thanks for the 411!
Yes, the RWD model gets extra frunk storage space compared to the AWD models because the AWD system obviously requires more mechanical components up front that take up that extra space. Still looks easily large enough to store cables, adapters and a regular sized backpack or two, imo. There is also a button on the key FOB to open the frunk, which is something not all "frunk-ed" cars have.
I like the sort of throwback styling on the rear lights. Like how back in the early 2000s there was no coloured plastic for the lights and the lights themselves were coloured
I'll admit I'm not fond on the design much, I think it's because of the wierd fender eyebrows; but I very much respect hyundai being so bold by bringing radical designs that break the mold of boring SUV.
This thing is nice and as a 2023 Hyundai calligraphy owner this thing looks like it has even more room specially the trunk. It looks massive but I just want a Tahoe and better a suburban with my 3 boys just getting bigger and needing more room for their things.
The best way I can think of to describe this is Daft Punk in the front and Volvo in the back. Which is a strange sort of mullet. I don't like it, but I like that Hyundai is willing to build something this goofy.
Hyundai has had a streak recently of incredible looking fronts, and controversial rear designs. Personally, I dont like the back. But it's better than the Santa Fe. Great video guys, very glad to see you guys getting invited to pre production reviews 👍🏻
Perfect timing, my Wrangler 4xe lease ends next year, I'll be getting this car for family trips. I was considering an R1S but after watching a video where most body shops were asking for 40k+ to fix the rear quarter panel turned me off instantly.
The taillights are Volvo-esque. The overall design is cool, I would definitely opt for this over the EV9. The Telluride was nicer than the Palisade though, so good job Hyundai.
Unitium? If Fisker, GM and Hyundai had 3some. That car looks wild. I thought Rivian, with their R3X, had the compact offroad EV market of lockdown, but that Unitium looks like a show stopper!😮 Hope you guys get to review it.
The brake light thing guys I believe is because you have to have separation from the high mount light from the 2 main ones, leaving some leds off during braking was a free way to do that while having the solid bar for the lights
Not crazy about its exterior, but if it comes in significantly cheaper than an R1S or Cadillac Vistiq, this will be my top contender. Presumably it will be similarly priced to an EV9, which I like the interior and tech much better on this Ioniq 9.
It looks like this has the same problem with the 360° camera that the Kia’s do: things that are close look WAY TOO CLOSE. That makes it hard to use in a parking lot.
It’s so hard for me to not see it as an EV minivan, both in exterior and interior design. Honestly only thing missing is the sliding doors 😅 still a cool vehicle nonetheless.
NACS is great but its on the wrong side lol. They never get that shit right. It should be Driver rear or passenger front. Do they even do their research?

Very strong Volvo V70 vibes from the rear. Another great looking EV from Hyundai
like Honda CR-V
My thoughts exactly
I had the same thought. I'm not a big fan of the design. I'm more interested in that Pontiac Aztec looking thing in the background.
Not a fan of the proportions looking from the rear quarter panel.
I was just thinking that...
I love how Hyundai's not afraid to try controversial designs.. i mean it does look like a stretched higher wagon like a volvo but I still like it.
Hyundai doesn't really have any design...that's the problem. No identity.

@popsandbangs8858 no he's right. Hyundai completely changes its design language every 2-3 years.

Yeahhh EVs are great but they are so expensive they are out of my range.
Ah yes let’s enter the EV market where Hyundai and Kia need 20k off and a $7500 incentive to sell and still lose money
@@xiondFirstused Kia EV6’s and Hyundai Ionic 5’s with relatively low miles can be found in the upper $20,000’s and low $30,000 range.
Looks like a damn HURST! it is one of the most ugly car I have seen in my 40 years!
@@hold121 were you trying to spell hearse?
1:09 wait, what is THAT sitting in the background
So dope! Rear end is giving a futuristic V70 in a way.
I'm all here for it.
Temu Volvo
@@PotatosPotatoes Temu is chinese. More like Samsung Volvo.
I actually really dig the way you guys are reviewing this. It's like we're finding out about the car with you at the same time
I can't wait to see the Genesis production version of this eventually!
The Calligraphy trim is really nice. I’m impressed.
I really like the design
Absolutely love the Hyundais of this generation, ngl. If I really wanted one EV, the Koreans have got my vote
A very synchronized release by all youtubers exactly at 8 pm. First time ever!
Or 5pm if pacific 😅
Hyundai had an embargo on this. So these channels just pre-upload it and have it scheduled to be released at a specific time.

Can't believe I'm saying it, but I like this just like the ionic 6!

Actually love the back half of it. Very cool
The Hyundai Group makes the most interesting cars in the auto industry right now!
Nope

The Carnival looks good too. HMG designers are pretty great.
That’s 100% minivan design. And I love it. Well done 👏👏
I want sliding doors!
I wish it was a minivan. Needs more cargo space and sliding doors.

Say you're blind without saying you're blind.
@ true 😂
looks like backround NPC car in a futuristic game
@ true
My Ioniq 5 has a similar sliding console, I love it
Looks like it's gonna rattle really bad.
We got electric cyberpunk 2077 vehicles in real life before GTA 6?
This is probably the most preem SUV built in a while by Hyundai.
This thing is nice and as a 2023 Hyundai calligraphy owner this thing looks like it has even more room specially the trunk. It looks massive but I just want a Tahoe and better a suburban with my 3 boys just getting bigger and needing more room for their things.
Looks very good 👍🏻👌🏼 (Performance package model), good development and design work again from Hyundai!.👏🏻😉
The best way I can think of to describe this is Daft Punk in the front and Volvo in the back. Which is a strange sort of mullet. I don't like it, but I like that Hyundai is willing to build something this goofy.
Volvo rear end
Exactly. Like an early 2000s V70
I disagree
Not really but yes
Totally stole that from Volvo from the C pillar rearward....a mix of XC90 and 90s Wagon
Yea what's up with that same designer?
Sheeeesh you guys got this out quick!!! Good meeting you guys !
Nice meeting you too!
They nailed it...
Looks interesting for sure

Love this style video you guys smash the live / vlog style
Great vid, love when you two are just exploring a new vehicle like that. I vote Volvo for those rear taillights. Thanks for the vid.
Wow it's a Chevy Lumina minivan!
Looks much better than the Santa Fe.

Great rewiew as usual , honest and funny , thanks 🎉🎉
fell in love again with u guys after the v10 m5 video
What is that other car in the background?
Fuel cell concept
From the side angle, it looks like the funeral home casket carrier wagon😮
Hearse
Separate rear turn signals and a rear wiper?? I’m basically sold. Weird about the tail gate, hopefully more details soon. This spec looks so good
Hyundai is doing pretty well!🎉keep moving!
Side/rear view looks like a Volvo stationwagon 3:41
Old R-Class vibes towards the back when viewed from the side. Nice to see different/new designs.
very volvo meets hyundai vibes. i dig it
When an old Volvo V70 with old Honda CRV is mixed together and reimagined for the modern day.
Def looks like a Volvo rear end.
아유? 차이나???
Damn, even Doug DeMuro did a video on it already too
I'm over the RoboCop front ends
The back looks like a super sized Volvo station wagon!

The button is on the black trim around the plate to the left side
Jakub (Poeltl) is killing it on the raptors this year!
Cant wait for yall to drive it
Looks way better than the Kia ! Good job at Hyundai! Looking fw to real world tests :)
I like this discovery finda finda session

rear end / taillights of my 2008 Volvo XC70 !!

2:40 this is a Volvo
They dont limit their car designers and thats what we love to see in the car community, ( not the way bmw and merc eqs eqe gone thru )
Dropping it 1 minute early!! Bad boys 😂
Love what Hyundai’s doing-
The front is cool like a Range Rover Sport design, and rear like you guys said has the Bentley Bentayga look

Im not a huge fan of the sloped roof but its probably good in keeping wagons alive (as much as this qualifies as a wagon)
Amazing. Hyundai is getting better n better over the years. American cars are falling behind.
That is not an suv that is 100% a wagon
Man, Hyundai does a good job !
These are some strong Volvo shoulder lines and rear lights right there. Blur the eyes a bit and this could be a modern V70.
This will look sick with a "anime" style car paint job. Deffo V70 vibes too on the rear circa 1996
the back reminds me of an old 80s/90s hatchback
Now put a TT 3.0 in it.
The back end and rear quarter panel make it look like a Hearse
Omg are the boys here in LA ? Crypto arena ?
Yes sir

Looks like a minivan. Just give it sliding doors and call it one! That'd be a win, in my book.
have the boys ever drove a right-hand-drive car?

The 3/4 rear view out here looking like a volvo station wagon
It’s hideous! But you guys are awesome 😎 I’ll keep our gorgeous EV9 all day long
Lights spans the sides like a cadillac
Obsessed with the brown photo backdrop doing XC70 feels.
The rear looks 2000s Lancer Wagon more than Volvo.

hmm, yeah, more EVs with 3 rows, I say yes! and native NACS is very cool.
Delorean rear window?
