Hey Gurl, I so glad you brought up the chemicals in pads and tampons because it can be so bad for you especially tampons cause a lot of brands like tampax and Kotex die the tampon white! I would personally recommend the brands honeypot, L, Cora, Lola. And always also has some organic pads. And the great part of organic pads is most of them are made by women! Hope this helps you girls 😊

@@Mochi-df8ys they have some organic options they work however I would not recommend them because they are a men owned brand and I would rather support a women owned brand because the products work better and they test the products. I just ordered some!!! I can't wait to try them because I am really curious to see if these solve my problem...Every period I get terrible itching and my privates get really red. I went to the doctor thinking it was a yeast infection or bacterial infection and both came back negative. My doctor did mention that it could be irritation from the pads I use....So I can't wait to see if these help me!

I switched from pads to reusable period underwear about a year ago and it has changed my life! Sometimes i just forget I’m even on my period because you literally put a pair on in the morning like you would with normal pants and then i wear them all day and rinse them/change to a new pair when i have a shower at night and repeat that. They are sooo much nicer than pads they just feel like normal pants and i have never leaked or had any problems with them. They are expensive at first however, and you do need at least 4 pairs I’d say but in my opinion they have been worth every penny! I would defo recommend you try these out Sharon and everyone else!

I love reusable pads. I have used them for over a year. I like pink lemonade shop brand. To clean them I soak all my pads in water with oxi clean for a couple hours then throw them in the wash with other clothes. I have enough pads to last my 6-day period so I soak them all together at the end of it. I have way less leaks with reusable pads than disposable pads

  • @annacurrie4536

So I actually started with a reusable pad and it is actually very nice that is all I use so ima give you pros and cons. Pros:very soft, last a very long time, and I usually wrap toilet paper or a pad or even pannie liner and it lasts so much longer, and never have I ever had a leak with it on. Cons: the do sometimes flip and it'll get blood on the wrong side, if you love with siblings or roommates then you might have them accidentally find it in the laundry which isn't that bad just kinda embarrassing. But rather than that it is all I ever use I'm 14 and you are like a second mom to me I would have never known how to get through this without you❤✌

Cloth pad user for 6+ years and I’ve done it all. To maintain them I like to throw them into a bin after each use and not even bother washing them each day. Once my cycle is over I take the bin to the shower squirt some dawn soap on there and fill out with hot water then I use my hands to agitate and squeeze the pads and swish them around I empty it and do that one or two more times drain the water take the bin to the washer dump them in use regular detergent of your choice + oxy powdered detergent like the Ariel kind do a hot cycle with two rinses throw in the dryer and call it a day. I obviously disinfect and clean my tub out after (I like to use a spray bottle with 10-20% bleach rest water spray the tub let it sit for like 5 mins and then rinse the tub) washing every pad or everyday took too much time and the method I use I’ve never had a stain and I have the exact pads I started this journey with so that tells you a lot. If you have a pad that you think will stain what I do is use a zote bar rub it all over the pad real good before putting them in the wash as an added step. I beat the crap out of my pads and never baby them and they look new at almost 7 years old.

i actually love reusable pads for lighter days, like at the end of my period. i also use the small ones (i have a brand called GladRags) under tampons for heavy days, but they’re definitely bulky lol.

I use reasonable ones, I prefer the longer ones, so if they did decide to wriggle not much space
I use one for the day, one for night. Wash them, put them on my radiator normally dry by morning, if not, spare reasonable.
Also, if they start getting dry, not as soft
Put them in ur washing machine.

U could always go way back in time and pin them to undies. My mom said that's what they used to do. I have a vague memory of me getting thick stayfree pads that came with 2 pins but that was when I first had P at 12years old so some 30+ yrs ago.
