Do u think need.to.remap after installing new pipe?
I have a 17 and it's much much easier to get the exhaust off. I recently installed the spark full titanium and had it tuned. It's like a new bike now.
This one was a pain but well worth it

I actually like the stock exhaust even though this new one sound good. I hope the 2023 model is the doesn't change much. What I want for my new bike is impacktek roll cage bars, and Yoshimiro tail tidy that's all I want for my bike.
It definitely doesn’t sound bad but it’s just not loud enough for me. Those are some pretty good mods you have in mind.
If Evotech makes a tail tidy or any other part for your bike, get it. By far the best quality, best design in motor sports today.
Get the Tst ‘low’ tail tidy it’s the sickest one I have on my 09 sp. makes the license sit way underneath the seat for a clean look

Great video. Did you have to tune it as well? Or is it safe to run without a custom tune?
Such a huge difference. A tune changes the throttle tables as well as ignition and fuel. And reduces fan kick on temp and removes top speed limiter. It’s a must have.

I prefer the old full akrapovic exhaust, than the new one. With the new one, it hide the wheel. Not pretty. The old akrapovic, was under the bike. Better style, better look.

Don’t turn the plastic clips, press in the center to release the clip, then pull it out.

@@SOCALMOTOBROS Good to know. I just put a deposit on a 2023 Matte Raven Black MT09 today. I know I'll be upgrading the exhaust ASAP. I'm really liking the Austin Racing exhaust from the UK. Kind of pricey though with the currency exchange rate. They sound amazing though.

Great video, but the way you pronounce akrapovič really hurts my ears…
(please pin, those who have questions about installing Yoshimura exhaust, ask below! I just did mine and can help!)
First off, great video. I do wish you went more in depth about some things i.e. the radiator shroud clips on the side, and the exhaust gaskets by the header and how you did it, but over all good video. I just did my Yoshimura exhaust on my 22' MT-09 which was a huge bitch and took 4 hours. If you are also one who is installing a Yoshi exhaust and have questions, please drop them bellow, I'll try to help!
Hey man, how did it turn out in the end? I just installed mine, but I've been heavily overthinking the position and placement of the actual tailpipe / can. From every picture or video I've seen including Yoshimura's website, it's mounted to the backside of the bracket (the one with the gold spacer) but the instructions say to mount it to the front. With those instructions, the muffler ends up being pointed more downward and outward than any reference that I've seen. I generally use the Yoshi badge as a reference point (which is facing down at an angle) and It just doesn't look right. I've tried mounting it to the back of the bracket, but the fitment does not feel right at all. I'm not sure if the latest AT2's are a new revision, or if it's just quality control, or I'm severely overthinking it. What kind of problems did you run into?
@@Odyssey51x yeah mine looks just like the pictures show, mine definitely faces straight out the side. I’m not sure what you mean with the rear mount but I definitely ran into problems removing the original mount near the rear set. Since it’s a bolt with a nut at the end you have to loosen from both sides because it will not properly mount on the old mount. What I did was when I installed it, I first started with the entire exhaust assembled, bolted up the headers, then where it mounts at the rear of the oil pan I just stuck the bolt through but did not tighten. Then the rear mount I did the same but lined it up nice then bolt through it then tightened starting at heads and working back

I just slap my exhaust on Friday, I ended up going with the racing exhaust from akrapovic. More expensive but so with it... the sound is priceless
Yes sound is priceless, I got full system on mine 🙃 my misses asked me how much did you paid for "that " I said just over £200 😁😁
love the sound but don't like that it extends so much further than the stock muffler
It’s not the best look but you can’t beat the sound and performance.
Do you need to put gasket maker on the rings for the headers? I just put my exhaust on and it kinda sounds like there’s an exhaust leak coming from the front
I didn't put anything on mine. Maybe go through and make sure everything is tight.

How much would it cost to get this exhaust and have it installed since I wouldn’t be able to do it myself?
The exhaust is about a $1,000 and you should be able to install it yourself it’s really easy. I’m not sure how much a shop would charge you to install it.

It came with it.

Oh man, that was so long ago lol I think I used an extended socket and a wrench on other areas. I do remember it being an absolute pain
@@SOCALMOTOBROS yea you skipped the part out in the video and I couldn't find help anywhere else, I just unscrewed the support for the radiator at the top(2 bolts) for a bit more room. I was able to get the exhaust off and I'm ready for my dominator gp3 to get to me

@@SOCALMOTOBROS I had the X-M5 by MIVV. It was an ok pipe. With the Akra the response of the bike is so much better. It’s quiet, but would rather have better response and performance.

Depends on the dealer and they typically won’t cover anything if the exhaust is what caused the issue.

Yes, but I didn’t and it’s been several hundred miles and everything is still tight.

so it seems that slip-on exhausts are a thing of the past, everything is welded together nowadays and you have to replace the whole system.

Yeah, to me it looks like a big pipe and muffler covering up the bike’s lines. Don’t get me wrong it is quality stuff and sounds great, something lower profile and shorter is what I’m looking for. I’m sure there are a lot of riders that like it.. it’s just not for me. Very good video by the way.👍
