Sadly, many restaurants in Japan are struggling to make the ends meet through this bloody pandemic. Chefs like him are true artists, but even an average office worker at a Japanese company has much more secure future than chefs. It's not fair.
@@adolfswatler6817 What I meant was that the Jp social security/insurance is not fair. It barely supports such people. Either you are a lucky "Salary man" who can be sure of a life-long employment without much risk of getting sacked, or you should be always worried about your tomorrow. Japan's relatively low consumption tax and decreasing number of tax-payers (aging problem) cannot support part-timers, freelancers and self-employed people. Unlike some other developed countries, such people could literally starve to death once they lose their income.
Whenever I cook Thai dishes for my wife she always request that I serve them with noodles rather than rice stating that she doesn't like rice very much. But when I made Omurice with the Demi Glace sauce she raved about it and now regards it as one of her most favourite meals! I've successfully converted her to rice....if only for this one dish, she and the rest of the family now love! 👍🇦🇺😁
This man has EARNED my complete respect!! Through and through! Like... wow! To be able to make omirice like THAT and plate it without using the help of chopsticks!! Every single time he punched success like it was breakfast! So well done!! Thank you for your skills and thank you for such an excellent video. Credit to you both!

Also this is the first time I see a new method of presenting omurice and I was fascinated by how well he uses the tensile strength of the egg batter to cover the rice and then plate it without the help of chopsticks. That whole covering could've torn at any time and it didn't. Not once in his every execution and I find that amazing. Man's got skills.
I sat in this restaurant about a year ago, the fried shrimp omurice was beyond delicious! Seeing the delicate care each shrimp gets is impressive. But I regret not trying the meal at 7:00. It also looks amazing..

The first time I try omnirice was when I saw the omnirice model attract me to eat inspite of just had a full lunch, the scene was remarkable when the dish was almost the same as the model, egg smelling good, rice so delicious, tomatoes and souce, I know there’s another style omnirice, but I only like this type, looks always as good as a present to me more than a meal
When he was flipping that rice around I managed to do that once like one flip without spilling I felt so confident that I was like I can do that again and in that narrator voice, “He indeed could not do it again.” I spilled a bunch of rice everywhere 😂 but I did it once! I can’t imagine doing it anywhere near as well as this chef it’s amazing to see he barely lost a grain of rice unlike me who threw rice everywhere 🤣
Have you convert the currency wrongly in your description? The shrimp omelet rice at the price of 1080 yen, it only cost about 10 dollar US but not as high as 116?!

Huh? He used chopsticks. As for placing it on the plate, that's just a matter of practicing the method of just dropping the omelet on a plate.
