Reolink NVR Firmware Upgrade (Practical Example)

In this video I show how to upgrade the firmware in a Reolink NVR. The model I use as an example is the RLN8-410, but the process is the same for the RLN36 or the RLN16-410.
To update the Reolink NVR firwmare you just need to download the latest version from the website and use the maintance menu to load it to the NVR.

Looks like reolink doesn't keep fluid updates on there products?

When you did the upgrade was that from your computer? On the website ? Or did you connect your nvr to the cpu?? Or did you download the file onto a usb then connect the usb to the nvr?

I like the clarity of images from the Reolink cameras. But the system is so incredibly backward! It's like they have taken design ideas from 30 years ago to create the system. Definitely not user-friendly. Why can the upgrade not be an automatic thing? Why do I have to manually select the correct download then unzip then etc...? Oh, why is the downloaded zipped file not working??? Aaargh!!!!!
