waiting on reolink support to reply. My windows client won't let me add any of my cameras via IP to the software so I'm only able to upgrade the DVR firmware.

Interesting. Your video isn't that old, but the 810-420 system i got in Feb 21....All cameras had a third wire with a reset button (no bricking) and the nvr setup wizard does not include the 5th submenu (info), but does include an auto update capability. Using Reolink client you can easily verify the system has the Most current firmware.

I also have the third wire for my cameras. It's one thing to have auto update, it's another to have it work. From my experience, I've never seen it actually work nor detect new firmware being available. I have the same experience with the desk top client software where it can never detect an updated version available for both my Mac and windows computer. I also don't have the 810-420 system to know whether that system auto update feature actually works. How is that system? I've been looking to upgrade to get native 4k support

very good video but when it is raining it is better to deactivate the alarm reolink has not been able to control this problem

Now that would be a cool feature if it could auto deactivate. Since cameras, not reolink, provide 2 motion settings to help with this, sensitivity and threshold. I think reolink is on the side of user friendly so they only give control of one setting which gives us the false positive issue

Has any body had issues with these cameras just going dead!. We purchased three of them and two of them went completely dead!

Not me personally. Usually their support is decent. I think they have a 2 or 3 year warranty

Starting at 3:25 it literally hand holds you every step of the way in the software if you don't need to worry about any of the setup prior to the actual update
