The acoustic part was played by the lead guitarist who did the first few solos and the lead singer did the last crazy shred solo. How anyone can sing and play at that pace is beyond me
Megadeth is shit
Megadeth has the best solos 🔥
And riffs, definitely!
FUN FACT: What do Megadeth, the Henry Mancini orchestra and the "Tonight Show" band have in common? That's Nick Menza (RIP) playing drums here in Megadeth while his father, jazz legend Don Menza, played in the other two. That's even Don playing the saxophone on Mancini's version of the famous "Pink Panther" song.
We do have bands who do this right now...one example:. Megadeth!
The Holy wars part is about an incident in 1988 when Megadeth were playing a gig in Northern Ireland during the "Troubles"....Dave made the mistake of shouting drunkenly that tthe next song was for the cause and to give Ireland back to the Irish...this caused a riot and they had to be escorted back to Dublin in a bullet proof bus (hence the fool)
The second part is about the comic book character The Punisher...it's essentially two songs bolted togethet.
Dave was talked into it by a stage hand who supported the IRA, or so Dave has said. He could just be trying to save face, but according to him, he had no idea what “the cause” was or meant.
I was at the Belfast concert, he ( Dave) riped a Tricolour ( Irish flag) up on stage .... singing anarkey in the UK,the crowd went silent ... For a second,Stunned we looked at each other..he stood on the flag and ripted it ,the crowd just ignored the act and ...moved on with the song..... nobody in the crowd cared and the concert continued..! First hand account! I was up front! No secretion shit lasted more than 2 seconds. It was a fantastic concert!
Marty Friedmann's guitar solos are melodic shred, sound very classy and cool. I like it
Check out Hanger 18 🔥🤘🔥
Yes, the “fool,” was him, and his remarks in Ireland.
“The Punishment Due,” is the 2nd song he wrote, about Frank Castle, MARVEL comics The Punisher. The first song about him, was the title song of their 1st album Killing is My Business .., and Business is Good
They just released a new album around November of last year. Check it out. 🔥🔥🔥
Marty Friedman and Jason Becker..gods guitarists duo from Cacophony.
One of my favorite Megadeth songs .. absolutely fantastic writing and performance. EPIC!
The thing about music is that it's art, and being art it's open to the public to interpretation, which is in the eye of the beholder.
It’s the Thrash sound of the 90s seeing them live is crazy!!!! There is a kinda funny story of how this song was written. The song was about Ireland and the IRA.
Hey blonde chic welcome to the heavy metal club you look like you love it! Long live 80s and 90s metal and thrash metal.
Dude, your frustration is apparent. I feel sorry for you. 😂😂😂
Great reaction. A little more in depth than most. Megadeth is a band for the more cerebral type of fan IMO. Their catalog is 16 studio albums spanning 40 years.
Dave Mustaine and Marty Freidman are the guitar players.
The best forever
I love Dave Mustaine, but I find his voice to be a bit comical.
That gal loves music and it’s reaaal cute!
Its about the punishef
You should do she wolf live rude awakening from megadeth
It’s two guitarists. Dave Mustaine, also the singer. Was lead guitarist for Metallica. The of course Marty Friedman an monster on the guitar.
Their using psychological warfare on the population politically. The identity politics is divide and conquer. Left wing is about all equal yet tricked into fighting for personal wants needs. One small group at a time fighting against basically the whole other side. Impossible to come out ahead that way. Right wing tricked into believing the left are all communist. Creating an over emotional society. As we know over emotional equals lack of critical thinking and poor decisions. All by fake media. Pay attention when you see this. An article says “As reported by” or “X reported Thursday that…” They take an opinion article from one outlet. Repeat the information with that added. Which means they can put it in the regular news disguised as being factual. When the only fact is that the other outlet did report it. Just one of several tricks they use. This is why there’s always “Bombshell evidence” and shit like that. We all know, you can’t show evidence during ongoing investigations. This is the reason nobody ever actually gets arrested. It’s all a show. Not real. It’s elites, career politicians, on both sides working together against us. The left/right argument is just what it’s all based on. They give 0 fks about which “party” is in power. They control them both. Along with media, most universities, oil, medical/pharmaceutical etc etc. We are so F’d because people are blind and just love to hate.
I like your channel for sure! I like how you really brake shit down, and yours aren’t afraid to put yourselfs out there.
The song was inspired by what happened to the band when on a tour of Europe back in the 80s. Ireland was still divided into north and south, North having been still occupied by England and turned all catholic, and the south, still run by Ireland, all Protestant.
The IRA (Irish Republic Army) was waging a terrorist war against England in the north, and it was known as “the cause”. They were playing in the North.
A member of the club they were playing in, told Dave to say “this one’s for the cause” as they were about to play a cover of “Anarchy in the UK” from the Sex Pistols.
Dave didn’t understand what he had done, but he had just accidentally promoted what the north felt was a terrorist organization.
The entire band had to be escorted out by the police, and driven out of the country in a military, bullet proof vehicle.
If that's the case, then why is the video about the war in the Middle East? Whoever proposed that opinion on the internet didn't take everything into account. Especially the video.
@@perfectq7206 Dave Mustain himself said it. So if you want to argue it with him…
@@JohnDoe-zr8pc Nice to know that you'd take the internet for its word (even the media). But let's just ignore the video and presume all the middle eastern footage really just symbolized the Irish. Art is open to the interpretation of the eye of the beholder.
@@perfectq7206 Huh? Dude, there’s interviews & video of DM flat out explaining what happened & how it inspired the song. FFS man just look it up.
@@JohnDoe-zr8pc link please
Lol, those fuckin glasses dude....
Do the video and this is the most analytical breakdown I’ve seen of this song for a first time listen I got this album the day it came out on cassette when I worked at k mart in what 91 good job guys
Please do Megadeth- family tree. It is very different from this one.
React to Megadeth- I thought I knew it all.

"Today's music"?! There's tons of roxk/heavy bands out there.
You are refering to "popular music trends of these days".
"Fools like me (...)" ... American soldiers.
@@sirsancti5504 Huh? Do you not know the story behind this song?
Megadeth is out of your league... y'all better stick with metallica
Avenged Sevenfold - A little piece of heaven

You ask me to follow you on social media. Explain me why should I as a lifelong Metalhead follow you? Is there anything about Metal news , do You teach music theory that may help me improve My 33 year guitar playing? Please tell me.
There is one religión who kills ,? Really ? You ever heard of the Holy Inquisition? Witch burnings ring a bell? What do You think was the main attraction in the roman coliseum?
Dude, The killings in the Roman Coliseum was the Roman pagans throwing the early Christians to the lions. And what about the atheistic Marxist genocides? Like the killing fields of Pol Pot? The Stalinist Russian starvation of the Ukraine? Mao’s purge in communist China? The occultist Nazi regime and the holocaust? Humans kill each other. Religion is just an easy excuse. If we were all the same religion and the same color, we would still be killing each other.
