I had a random dream/vision last night. It is a collection of knitwear. I believe it’s meant for you two gentlemen. A collection based on quilt patterns. Hexies, Flying Geese, Trip Around The World, Irish Chain, Lone Star, Star Quilts. The Hexies were in a round pattern that trailed off. All these in knit sweaters.
I could watch y’all thrift all day!! Love your finds!! Those colorful glasses are adorable! 🌈 And that vase and suitcase are fabulous. Thanks for bringing us along!❤
Oh Carlos, build Arne a treehouse. His face, so full of regret that he doesn’t have one. Another brilliant episode and a fabulous combination, as always, with Kate. Carry on.
I enjoyed this episode so very much! Kate and shopping, and the lovely finds. I smiled through the entire video and now I think I'll be smiling through the rest of my day.
Love this vlog and seeing you and Kate together is pure joy! By the way, the wire piece in that Maling vase is called a " frog". They are often made out of glass and come in different shapes and sizes to fit in the bottom of vases or what ever you choose to hold flowers. Look for then in antique or vintage shops, particularly in England..They can be hard to find. I have a collection of glass and metal ones, which I showcase among my books..I love them! Enjoy the hunt!
Love the antique opalescent lime green flower vase. This vase is absolutely gorgeous! And the old fashion flower frog will definitely permit for you to create some stunning floral arrangements. Your time spent with Kate was truly a great time for making marvelous memories! Oh, Arne, those are exquisite cufflinks. Maybe, if you place them in your under-ware drawer you will remember to pack them the next time you take a trip. Kate is a lovely host, and you were definitely blessed to have spent with her.
I loved this episode!!! Those cufflinks are gorgeous and I would have bought the vase too. Thank you for bringing so much joy with your videos. My whole family watches them now. Love you tons!
The vase is lovely. The lustre on it is beautiful. That pottery is famous for its lustre (pearlescent shine). Be careful the rust on the wire frog doesn’t stain the vase. Looks like you had a lovely day in Hexham with Kate. Then you had a wonderful time in London and went to my favourite fabric shop, Liberty. It’s a beautiful shop, not just the fabric and haberdashery department. Next time you need to come to Scotland 🏴 we have beautiful walks here.
Lovely ! Looks like so much fun , I can't wait until Kate visits you ! The expression is " I wish I knew then what I know now " so you'll be ready for a full day of shopping next time ! Have a lovely week
Kate is a lovely lady and hostess. She seems a lot of fun. I have those same frosted glasses with a decanter. My parents had the same set that got broken over the years. I found mine in a thrift store. You guys got lovely items shopping. ❤
That was fun! I love thrifting, but I’ve done it way too much and now there isn’t a flat surface left in my house. Next time I go I’ll start sneaking things back IN.
Hi ARNECARLOS Really enjoyed this. Do you get a certificate or medal for walking Hadrians wall? Very gruelling😢😓.Kate and yourselves live such a colourful life. So much to see in that area. Obviously you must go again to sample more of her cooking ( i know that she follows recipes like you do but there's always that homely touch💕🍀
I love your purchases I do expect to see lots of beautiful floral arrangements. What were those pretty hearts in the first shop? This was fun. I have to laugh every time I think about why on earth would she think her house was " homely" ?That means ugly here! She has a wonderful house! Love her and her homely house! Arne, you put your black belt to shame but I am cutting you a break because you were traveling. You must have had lots of bubble wrap to get the vase home safely! Thank goodness for bubble wrap!
Looked like a great day. I love thrift shops and usually find some treasures. I'm off to Bergen soon and am looking forward to discovering some thrift shops, as well as yarn shops!! 😅
I loved seeing all you bought in Hexham they are beautiful and it gave me an idea of what to do with all the electrical wire my husband usually throws away. I can make a twisty turny thing to arrange my flowers. Happy days xx
@@ARNECARLOS thank you! 😊 My son also keeps a set in his suit coat inside pockets. That way, even though they may not be the exact ones you want for a particular occasion, at least you have a set or when packing you’ll usually notice them and go “oh! I want the honeycomb ones this weekend and they’re in a different shirt~~” so just swap them out. Or have a couple in each shirt depending on how many you have. Don’t forget to put them in a little pouch, so they don’t fall out and get lost! 😎
Happy Sunday! Looked like lots of fun! Sadly, there are no thrift stores that nice where I live. Antique shops, yes, but they are not affordable to me. I love the green vase and look forward to seeing your beautiful flowers arranged in it. Have a great week! ❤😘
What wonderful thrift shops! I would have bought that gorgeous vase too 😊 I bet that a quilting cruise with the 3 of you will be wonderful! If only I had the funds to join you all. I hope that your kitchen planning is going well. Be well, Sally 🌹
The shops you visited in this video - RE and the Corbridge Antiques Centre plus Vintage at the Tower - are in Corbridge NOT Hexham. A separate 'village' / small town some three miles to the east of Hexham. The scene where you sit down with flowers in the background is at The Coigns...in Corbridge.
Never got the chance to do thrift shopping when in the UK. Only wool. As I want Meakin dinner wear to make up 2 sets I have. Did you have excess baggage fees for your flight home? 😊
Normally antique items were used. I don’t know many people who have a storehouse of things they have bought and then never use them. Usually antique stores sell finer items. Thrift stores sell donated items to benefit a charity.
I have always loved Arne and Carlos and watched them for years, however I have always felt a little uncomfortable about their collaboration with The Last Homely House, it doesn’t seem to give Arne and Carlos quite the professional edge that they used to have. However I wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
Not nice dangling Patreon videos in front those not Patrons on regular UA-cam channels….it’s like eating in front f someone and not offering anything….how rude….. sorry I don’t think I’ll be watching much more and certainly not liking this one
I am sure they have the ability to send send notifications to their subscribers. It is the advertising of their paid channel that is being objected to in this comment. There has been a significant increase in influencers charging for content. While I understand wanting to be paid for creative content, I also object to the inherent class stratification that occurs. A “have and have not “ scenario is being created for a revenue stream . This is unfortunately a repugnant side effect of revenue generation and advertising it only serves to heighten it. This is what I believe the comment is aimed at.
I’m sad you feel this way. You’re going to be missing out. There’s still quite a bit of content available for “free”. Why would you begrudge these creators a chance to make a decent living? I cannot currently justify being a patron or member in my budget. However, as an artist & teacher, I respect how hard they work to create & share. I send all y’all love & warm wishes from Louisville, KY USA ❤
Love this Episode! Love thrift shopping with my three favorite people along with Anna! Thanks for a great video! Anna you captured the true spirit of Kate, Arne & Carlos! Thanks for taking me along. I can’t wait to see the shenanigans in March on the Quilt cruise that will be epic! Can’t wait. Great collaboration. Mariaknits27 💃🏻💕🧵🧶🏠📚☕️🛍️
Anna did a wonderful job filming us all - so kind of her to send you all her footage! I’m glad you like your treasures!
💕💚💕😀
I think they enjoyed your company best. I liked seeing your face when Arne bought more luggage for the return. Lots of beautiful moments. Xx

Your vase was a fabulous find!
What a fun day.
@thelasthomelyhouse likes Jethro Tull!! OMG! I would go see them with Kate anytime!
What a fabulous time you both had with Kate. The Vase was beautiful 😊looking forward to seeing your next video.
The flower thing is called a flower frog here in the US
I loved this episode!!! Those cufflinks are gorgeous and I would have bought the vase too. Thank you for bringing so much joy with your videos. My whole family watches them now. Love you tons!
Enjoyed the video of the shops
I love love the little colored glasses you found. I've think they're like some taller iced tea glasses that we have with colored stripes on them.
So pleased that you and Kate are getting together so well, she is wonderful
Looks like a good time was had by all
It most definetly was!
Fabulous episode! Thank you all very much for making and sharing this lovely video! ❤😊
I'm so glad you all made friends. It was through Kate's channel that I found you two and it's a real treat to see you all together.
Great to see you back Kate. 😊
Kate is enabling the shopping/collecting/hoarding!!!
Fun stuff.
😅❤️
I love, love, that green vase! So glad you had such a great time. It's fun watching the videos from both channels.

Hi guys. Always great to see you guys and Kate.
Love the cuff links!! Thanks for sharing your trip to Hexam.
My mother had one of those wire flower inserts for vases, years ago. Not sure, but I don't think I have them any more.
I love dishes and glasses…oh my would love to thrust with you guys…

I want to go shopping with you!!!
Fun shopping. Love the suitcase.
While the thrift shopping is fun, I can’t wait to see you make scones in Kate’s kitchen! Maybe I can learn to make them too.
I would be in such trouble shopping with any of the three of you! You find such beautiful items!

Your wall color sure is close to the same color as that shop. Those glasses you brought back...I LOVE those! Very nice cuff links indeed.
Hi guys loved the episode today the vase was beautiful and the cuff links were great the scones will be delicious well take care see you later
Thank you!
You found some beautiful things❤️ I love the cuff links; I’ve never seen any like those. I’ve enjoyed watching your episodes of your visit with Kate.
Beautiful little glasses!

Put your cuff links in a little bag in the pocket of your shirts, that use cufflinks, after laundering but before you put them back in your closet.
Thatis a great idea!

I have the same predicament and need a passport too. Hoping Kate and these two get together more-they are a hoot.
@@lindacaudill1698 My passport expired too lol! 🌹

I first thought you really walked The Wall, The Great Wall. The Englishmen have stolen that too 🤣
😂❤️
Arne, unrelated to this: I know a woman who grew up in Ukraine and watched "Cinderella's Nuts" every Christmas.
Wow, thank you!
Come to Australia old shop s
Never got the chance to do thrift shopping when in the UK. Only wool. As I want Meakin dinner wear to make up 2 sets I have. Did you have excess baggage fees for your flight home? 😊
