SPS faced similar problems 15 years ago. That debacle led to the district walking back the closures and reopening many of the schools they shuttered. The most notable was Veiwlands which was reopened and just recently completely re built.
If the public education system actually propared kids for life and created young people ready to contribute to society the enrollment wouldn't be an issue and therefor neither would funding.
The root problem is the drop in enrollment forces consolidation because full schools are more efficient vs. ones that are half empty. The school budget is already busted there's no other solution.

School should stay open for kids teacher should not get layoff. kids need to be educate in good quality of learning
