Seattle needs to vote out everyone in government leadership and reboot / start again. They are failing miserably at their jobs. This is just unacceptable for how much tax revenue Seattle and Washington collect. There is a 7% capital gains tax that generated over $400,000,000 to be used on education. How can there be a $104,000,000 budget shortfall for education?
Well. Maybe keep them open for smaller classes. 50 years ago classrooms had 12-15 kids 1 teacher. When I left high-school it was 30-36 kids per classrooms and 1 teacher. I think Smaller classes are better hope Seattles levees get small in money requests.
if those 20 schools do get closed, i hope the remaining schools get extra funding, it would be better for the children's education, or teachers get paid a little extra.
If they need to close 20 schools, it sounds like government schools are bloated and need further cuts. It certainly doesn’t sound like they need more money 😂

And objectively this is the best time to be alive for the largest percent of living humans. 200 years ago low to 0 income people wouldn't be walking around with Iphones and Jordans, they are today. People are living longer than ever before with more access to healthcare and treatment, people aren't falling over dead in the street due to the plague. We are doing just fine.
