Oh my gosh aren’t all these old things fabulous? I have transformed so many things just like you’ve done in this video. It’s amazing what you can do with a little paint and some texturing paste. Love your work by the way.
I love faux cement items.....get the look without the strain! I had a small, ceramic crouched bunny that was pink and blue flowers....just so NOT pretty! I painted a coat of a cement-looking paint to cover it up then made my lumpy-bumpy faux cement paint and dabbed it all over. Clear waxed it then a tiny bit of dark wax here and there for some shadowing and aging and sold it for 5.00 in my booth. I had fun learning how to faux cement a ceramic piece AND made 5.00 to boot! Dry brushing can really enhance certain pieces. Love the way yours turned out.
That is wonderful Sharon so glad you had fun and got to share it with someone else. Yes dry brushing can really transform. Enjoy creating and thank you for tuning in!
They look great,Ellen! I have a regret.. you know how your love of the concrete garden things just get to you? Me too.. and years ago for some reason I got rid of the BEST concrete garden chicken. I can see it in my mind and have thought over the years.. what the heck was I thinking not keeping it? I'm still on the hunt for another perfect one! If I see one I can dry brush like you did I'll pick it up! Thanks for all your lessons. The life sized Snow White & 7 dwarves story😂😂 I gotta tell my hubby. He was hooked at the start when your hubby tossed furniture out of that building one day in a very early video of yours!
We have all gotten rid of something that we regret, it stinks, 😂! But there is a ton of fun in the hunt for another. Enjoy the journey! So glad your husband likes to tune in too, we appreciate both of you!
Ohh I love these! I've been wanting to do these to a few pots myself! But how do I make them weather proof for outdoors? I normally work with Debis DIY paint, but, to make it weather proof I am willing to try other companies! Thank you!
They need to be sealed inside and out with a waterproof marine grade sealer. Stay tuned to this channel and Facebook, I hope to be sharing that exact product shortly! Thank you for tuning in!
Hi can you help we can’t get Debi ‘s DIY products in UK what would be the next best product to get my pots to look like yours I do use Fusion but I don’t know we’re to start it’s so frustrating 😊 love your videos
