I love these! Bees make me a bit nervous too, even though I think they are adorable (the nice ones). I guess I should’ve looked at the date when I made the comment “I Can’t Wait” for this video! 🤦🏻♀️🤣 Thank you for letting my simple mind know that it was already posted… 6 months ago! I've always loved the Harper mould set, but found myself avoiding reaching for it because the letters were so challenging to get out without breaking or at least totally mis-shaping them. Needless to say I am so beyond grateful for your pro tip to leave them in the mould while they dry. Total game changer!! Funny too, how it seems so simple to figure out in hindsight...yet there I sat, stumped for months!
I love to use bees in my decor and projects, but there is no way I want to be within a mile of a single one, much less it's hive! That was pretty brave, girl! And I don't care what Hanz says, they were definitely attracted to that adorable shirt! I know I am...🤣
RIGHT???? I was the same with the letter Moulds! Now, I make bunches of them to have on hand!

This is the 2nd video of yours that I've watched...yes.....I subscribed after the first one....And I LOVE this one because in addition to being a crafter and maker, I am also a 2nd year bee keeper! I love these!! I've got several wooden plaques, and I knew I wsnted to put clay on them.....,I've been putting the laurel wreath, a bee, and a crown.....and those have been really hot selkers....and I've used crockery stamps, Parisian stamps.....but my customers are asking for more, so thank you for sharing your creativity!

Oh goodness, that was a few years ago. I’m not sure we know where Hans purchased it!
Can anyone tell me how do you keep the air dry clay from cracking and falling apart months after it's dried? I always let mine dry slow and naturally. Every piece I've made looks so good then after about six months it cracks and begins to fall apart. Do they make any type of sealant to prevent this from happening? Every time I ask, I get the same answer to let it dry naturally, and slow. I always do and it still happens.
Hi there. I’m not sure what brand of clay you are using, but any air dry clay will shrink a bit and it may naturally develops cracks when it dries. That’s part of the character of this medium. I use IOD Air Dry Clay exclusively. Once it’s hardened and painted, it is extremely strong and durable. I’ve never had an issue with it developing cracks AFTER it has completely cured. I use Fusion mineral paint over mine. Or Debis DIY paint. If I want a perfect Mould, I use resin. Hope this helps!
most people that I haver seen do these use DIY dark and decrepit or weathered wood to age.. is there a reason you used fusions glaze instead.. I need to get something and just trying to figure out which would be my best bet as they all seem to do the same thing
I like the Fusion glaze for my projects because it’s not as dark as the dark and decrepit ( which I love to use as a stain) . It a bit more subtle. Thanks so much for watching! 💓
The killer bees are real, several nest have been found here in Washington. Fish and Wildlife are destroying the nest when they track them down. Very scary creatures, not at all like the cute bees that make honey.
