Thank you for another great video. ROW means Right of Way, it is a survey acronym. Thank you again for taking us along. Safe travels.
Thanks for that!
Your father’s legacy lives on with his Toyota for sure.
As always, thanks for quality content and humor!
I’m 65 and somewhat fit but the video kinda made my back hurt!!! 🤣. J/K!!! Keep up the great work!
Some nice areas your exploring!🏜️👋
"Range Anxiety"... Remember when the # sign was a pound sign.?. welcome back Steve..!
Loved it.👍
I love ALL your voices and commentaries. You always make some unusual videos. . Love your point of view. always honest.
Thank you!
Awesome video Steve
You have to spend 2 hours in the car leaving Atlanta too... But that's just to move 30 miles through the city!
I know, right?
Great bike, ride brought back memories of that time for me as well.
My home base, for the last 10 years, has been St George. Beautiful open land all around.
The Bundy tale is a sad story.
Currently touring, with my van, in Mexico. I'll return to STG in the spring.
Safe Travels.
Yes. I am 3. Thank you for the videos
Enjoyed the video and tour! Thank you for sharing. Stay safe.
That’s quite the bike! Loved the video and looking forward to the next adventure!
Cool bike, looks perfect for your needs
Thanks for the tour. Hope the Xplorer is not feeling neglected!
Great bike Steve..
Stay safe out there.
Enjoyed it thank you. Yes please be careful outthere your a one man team out there.
Great video
ROW. Most likely that means Right-Of-Way. I rode some dirt years ago. Your opening maneuver was called the whoopslam. Yes, that’s one word.
Whoopslam. That is exatly what I did.
Yup, gravity works. Even when you don't want it to.
He's back!
Catch up on about 4 vids here lately.
Outstanding machine Steve
I don't know if you watch CanAm missing 411. The man who runs the show recommends PLB personal locator beacons. There a green one that clips onto your belt or pack. You just lift the antenna & flick the switch & wait. It has a 10 warranty & is about $ 300 buck. Just a thought.❤️🙏
I've thought of those from time to time.
@@XplorerSteveDIY They make Sense Steve especially if your solo. Nothing worse than no cell reception & your down with fractures & no way to get out. As an old ER nurse I would think twice.🙏❤️
I am in Mesquite right now. That is where I grew up. Too bad you aren’t still in Bunkerville to meet up.
Great to see you out in the E Bike XS. I copied your awning project, have to wait til Spring to set it up ( NJ ) lol. Stay safe .
Have fun!
I enjoyed your video/ narrative very much. Thanks Steve! Question please-
How do you manage tires with all the tumbleweed goat head stickers on the
roads and trails? Do you have tire liners or use Slime sealant?
Good question! Nothing yet. I would go the Slime or Armadillo method. Should prob do that.
That's a really cool tire pump. Not surprised to see BLM rangers looking like a swat team.
Yep that bike looks like the way to go. How long or far do you think it could go on a level area? You’re doing great on riding it through the desert! Have fun and try to stay safe out there Steve. 😃
Usually 20 to 40 miles depending on many factors. Speed, weight, wind, hills, etc.
On another note Steve, when you replaced your fridge a while back, did you need to keep the fans you installed? Just about to do the same thing if I can find one like you did. Sorry that it is off topic.
A company is sending me a fan set much like the one I home-made. I will install it when it gets in. But yes. This setup in the van needs a fan to vent the hot air on hot days. Makes all the difference in the world.
Re: Range anxiety while out long trail riding. Are the batteries very heavy? I.e., is it worth it to carry a fully-charged extra battery in a good day pack while out riding for the day to subdue any range anxiety?
I would not carry an extra battery. I just ståy within my limit.
Hey Steve .... I looked up the Sur Ron .... (a bit pricy , for my wallet ....) Looks like a fun experience though !! And it has a lot better suspension than the electric scooter that you took to Quartsite last month .....
The suspension is plush on the Sur Ron. Very comfy ride. That scooter is very capable however. I was surprised. I just got in some off road tires for the scooter that I will install here soon.
You might want to check out Honda CRF 125fb or Kawasaki klx 140, both under $4000 and never runs out of battery. The Honda gets 90-100 mpg. I have been saving for months to get a Talaria, then a random video of the Honda popped up on YT this week. I plan on trail riding and camping and all this waiting and charging crap doesn't sound like a fun weekend to me.
Hey Steve, if you are up for WA state BDR run, let me know. You can bunk at mi Casa before and after the run. LMK.
I will have to look into that one.
You can run parts of the trail or the whole trail. But yes, check it out.
Did you say "Bundy Ranch" or "Bunny Ranch"? You could tour the Bunny Ranch for some Nevada historical research purposes only.
Wow, impressive how off road capable it is. Steve, can you elaborate on your interactions with the police when riding your bike? Do you have to bring a copy of the specifications with you to prove it’s street legal?
I personally only get looks. However my ebike YT friends have gotten pulled over. You can search it here on YT. These look like a motorcycle or at least more capable than a bike so draws scrutiny.
Here in Los Angeles theyre everywhere scooters, bikes going fast asf over 35mph, its only a matter of time till cali starts making us get plates. I want one cus its faster around town, literally takes me an hour to fet from venice to the shops
👏🏼❤️😎
how much watts does the charger pull to charge this bike? Like what would i need for a prtable battery, thx
If you are talking charging on the run, an inverter plugged into your 12vdc socket would work. I could charge my scooter with my jackery 1000 and solar panels. Not this one though.
@@XplorerSteveDIY I was seriously considering buying a surron, but as indo more research they are really only legal offroad which is fine, but I would love to use it on the bike lane & ive seen many do it, but its not worth the risk for me. You got an awesome channel
How many miles did you ride your bike for that day?
I didn't log my miles. Seldom do.
Hello Steve, how are you making out with the RD?
I’ve got the engine ready to come out. I got the Pistons freed by putting some marvel miracle oil down each cylinder and letting it bake in 100° plus Las Vegas heat for a couple of weeks. It didn’t take much but I am eager to see what it looks like in there. I Got a used harbor freight glass cabinet for 50 bucks and I got the stuff to convert it to a vapor blaster. I think I’m gonna need a cheap harbor freight parts cleaner as well. Thanks for asking
@@XplorerSteveDIY you get a cheap boar scope for your phone from Amazon. They work pretty good. Temperatures have been hot here also, I hardly rode the bike this summer. Crazy I never thought I'd say that. Lol
_Born to be wiiilllld..._ Badass!
Next could you doo us a favorpoo and video a boondocking sesh next to a Wendy's?
im very interested in a bike like this or something similar, need something reputable and reliable, what yall recommend besides this bike?
I am looking at the Ariel Rider x52 as a good all around bike. The Sur Ron is more an electric dirt bike and draws police looks.
@@XplorerSteveDIY Never heard of that Ariel one, I’m still new to the whole ebike/electrify stuff. I’ll check it out. Thanks
You pack your ten essentials with you?
I packed about 3.
Cosmo needs a road trip...jus sayin
Love the desert southwest. Cool bike.
Me too!
