    Some products labelled as ‘Hyaluronic acid serums’ are actually multi functional as well. For example, The Inkeylist’s Hyaluronic acid Serum has peptides for well aging and even more glycerin (which Dr Sheerene seems to prefer) than Hyaluronic acid, while the new reformulation of The Ordinary’s HA serum has ceramides/ lipids and panthenol for skin soothing, well aging and strengthening the skin barrier.
    Its key to look beyond the names and more towards ingredients (if you want to make decisions as a consumer 😊)

      Yes! Excellent comment, Paula's Choice products usually have as many *complimentary* actives/ingredients as they can fit in too. Lots of bang for your buck! (Llike Ha, Vit C, retinol, niacinamide, peptides, Azelaic acid and so on..)
      **Unless (I'm an example, I have a couple!😊) you *want* a product that's dedicated to one active to mix into your favorite "Holy grail" serum or moisturizer that just happens to not have the specific active you need - "boosters" - and they last a really long time.
      The *one thing* I'm sure of is that skincare is a *very* personal thing! There's never one product, one ingredient, one anything that works for everyone all the time. Never.😅♥️🙏

      But isn't it important to know the portions of ingredients in the product? There can be smthg in a very low portion that it is barely active. I am always wondering about this 🤔

    • @DesireUba
      @DesireUba 4 місяці тому +2

      @@nourcheneb.a3973 Ohh, concentration has a part to play for sure! However, some ingredients do best at lower percentages, instead of higher ones. This could be due to many factors that chemists / formulators put into consideration while formulating. For example, retinol is one of the lowest in concentrations in the products it’s present in (usually no more than 0.3-1% as any higher is unnecessary and even too harsh on the skin.)
      To be honest, sometimes brands also just put in ‘marketing percentages’ sometimes as well. It’s a complex industry.😅

    This is just a suggestion, but I think you do not have the time, try to hire someone to filter out your shorts to group them into playlists say like "for acne prone skin" "for dry skin" "serum suggestions" "cleanser suggestions" etc for easier filtering for the viewers who are specifically here to get tips and advice on specific problems/issues, it's a nightmare trying to scroll through hundreds of your many shorts just to watch the content I am specifically looking for.

    what do you recommend for dehydrated sensitive oily-combination skin that is prone to pore-clogging and comedonal acne 😅
    I'm sorry this is so specific, but I figure there are more people like myself
    I've had chemical burns around my chin, mouth, and nose and an inflamed barrier from neutrogena's 2% sal acid (massaged for 5 min)
    I didn't use a moisturiser for a long time because it seemed to clog pores, but recently started using one because dehydrated skin impairs skin's self-exfoliation or something, and I am in a dry climaye (that, again, clogs pores if I don't use a cleanser in the morning)
    3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid also caused chemical burns 😅 ascorbyl glucoside irritated my chin
    too afraid to begin a retinoid
    I also frequently seem to have unexplained redness 🤔
    so far I got down:
    - cleanser 2× daily (cosrx low ph good morning)
    - a zinc pca serum (contains sodiun lactate 60%, aloe extract)
    - cosrx ha intensive cream (contains sunflower oil)
    I am 31, never wear makeup

    • @soshi-805
      @soshi-805 4 місяці тому

      you might wanna look into either differin, or azelaic acid (great for redness)!
      before starting any type of active it's always a good idea to have a basic routine down - gets your skin in good shape, and for when you (eventually 😅!) overdo the active, you have something to fall back on. can't stress this enough - everything works better when your skin is happy and healthy.
      and i assume you already wear sunscreen, but just in case you aren't, get on that train!

    • @aaheemas
      @aaheemas 3 місяці тому

      @@soshi-805 I read your comment, researched azelaic acid and got a 20% cream from the pharmacy. So far so good. 👍
      I don't see the sun on most days (no, not even through my windows, my ground floor apartment feels like a basement, yes), and when I do I have my face covered anyway, so I don't use sunscreen anymore. I did wear sunscreen before in my teens and early twenties (but tanned anyway 🤔).

    • @soshi-805
      @soshi-805 3 місяці тому +1

      @@aaheemas awesome! i hope you have good results with azelaic acid. regarding sunscreen, just do whatever works for you! if you’re covering up outdoors you’re alr doing better than most, and that’s also sun protection (arguably more effective than sunscreen)
      there’s obviously no need to be deathly scared of the sun, but usually these active ingredients do some sort of smoothing out the skin surface, so the skin may be more prone to burning at the beginning
