      Yes, Heinz is an American brand but it's known worldwide and offers regional products to its customers, not just the American versions. Ironically for example, Heinz Baked Beans are exported from the UK to the US, so not everything is available in the US. That would explain why I never saw Heinze Baked Beans in grocery stores, it was always Van De Camps, Hunts, Libby's, and other brands. I think it bears remembering that this is not daily common food fair in england. I imagine many Americans if they went into a English food chain and was presented with some very unusual combinations or foods that they had never had before might have similar reactions trying it for the first time, often things don't taste like what they look like and sometimes it's just down to if you didn't grow up with it, you're not going to like the taste of it.
      It doesn't make you a bad person it just means you grew up with different types of food.
      I mean there are whole societies that eat raw oysters and raw fish and beef tongue and crawdads and all manner of different types of things that I wouldn't eat on a daily basis.
      The component parts are sourced differently, chickens and eggs are different, bacon is different even in Canada let alone the uk, they have different rules about food safety and food ingredients.. and they are trying to replicate a classic American fast food menu. So I can't get too upset with them taking a bite of something completely foreign and not immediately loving it unconditionally. Sometimes you have to develop a taste for something or sometimes it will just never taste appetizing or worth getting instead of something that you've known your whole life.

Most burger joints and diners would not have carne or asada unless they were Mexican food themed.
      Chili cheese fries definitely sounds more american. A local variation is chili Frito pie, which basically was a small bag of Fritos with chili poured in the top and shredded cheese sprinkled on top.

The only time my frostie is ever that melted is if I get it delivered or I have to travel home and there's crazy traffic. It sucks that the UK cooks their chicken too long cause the spicy chicken sandwich is actually really good when cooked right. The best thing at Wendy's is the chili. Also you do know that Heinz is an American company right?

    • @Jack_Stafford
      @Jack_Stafford 2 роки тому

      I guess it depends on how you look at it. The founders of the company were Germans, they started the company in America I guess so I guess that makes an American company? The woman who is going to inherit the whole thing is from mozambique. I guess I think that's different than people that were born in bred in America and then start a company rather than immigrants coming here starting a company and then calling that an "American" company.
      I can guarantee it doesn't work the other way around, if I were to move to Germany and start a company they would not consider it a German company even if I became a German citizen. Which is very hard by the way, just being born in Germany does not make you a citizen. Even if both of your parents were also born in germany. There are literally generations of people living in Germany that aren't granted citizenship status. They have specific rules about this kind of thing. So certainly an immigrant starting a business within their borders would not in any way be considered german. Even if you were born there.

      Americans don't really know any better in most cases, unless it's a rare one who has the money to afford healthy/organic food. Poor Americans in general don't have the experience with food in most cases to call it 'bad'. We're basically bred, at this point, to automatically like anything fatty, salty, greasy, or fried by default.

    Hello I am an American who just returned home from London yesterday. I love your video very funny. A comment on the cooked chicken. Wendy’s usually does a great job cooking their chicken and keeping it nice and tender and moist for sure. I purchased some pre-cooked breaded chicken patties from the Sainsbury’s Local in Chelsea only to discover it was raw inside. Half cooked. I went back and bought another and it was the same deal. It was supposed to be fully cooked all the way through.

    Ever since I was a little kid I’d get a child size frosty. You can eat it with a spoon during your meal as you would a milkshake. Whatever is left you take the straw from your drink and sip the melted frosty. I never dip my fries 🍟. Some people just really like the salty with the sweet.

    • @mylovesongs2429

      I have no idea why that is. When i was a kid, i would order a burger, fries, and a chocolate shake. It was tasty. These days, i guess i have developed an acquired distaste for things sweet & savory, except for a burger, fries, and coke. Somehow that is different.

    Heinz is American. When then chicken nugget got pulled out my immediate thought was what did they do to that chicken nugget. Here they look nothing like that.
    Classic Wendy's frosty is soooo good with McDonalds salty fries.
    Even the fries were looking cooked differently. I wonder if it is the oil they use in the UK.
