    Very well explained, I'm glad I suggested this in particular because Ik is SO powerful but so extremely confusing when you have no experience at all with programs like Spine! Glad you already said you're going to cover Paths, they're the same situation, very powerful but too confusing for my little brain, so I gave up on using them. They almost never work like I want them to. Last time I've tried following Spine tutorials all I was able to achieve was a bunch of bones mashed together at the same spot and wasn't able to find any way to space them out, none of the settings worked.
    Thank you so very much, your tutorials are wonderful, and I'm really glad you're giving us homework!

    I was think about a wriggly mustache and I think I am gonna try your atypical ik leg approach to get a nice curl.
    Thank you for this tutorial, it really clears up how to use these constraints

    It be great if you did a video where mistakes are made.
    For example
    1) You've created a Rig and saw that one of your bones is not connected to an image is is missing from the heirarchy.
    2) One of your bones is connected to the wrong image - How to attach it to the proper image
    3) Bone is a parent of a image but it is suppose to be a child of a different image. How to switch it over.
    These things (and I'm sure a ton of others) would help immensely, lol

      @@armanimationn I wish you would have shown the ik set up for the legs. For when you grab the hip and translate down and it bends at the knees, feet stay planted. I can't get it to work, when I try to set it up in any form, the ankles break, the model spins 90 degrees, the leg flips upside down. lol

    Wonderful examples, i really liked the creative solution for horse legs.
    the best way i found for the snapping of the knees was to scroll the timeline with the shift button held for decimal frames, and divide it to 2 keys.
    if it's stupid and it works it ain't stupid? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      @@armanimationn hehe yeah.. often times animation feels like "how much can i lie without being caught?"
      Actually this would be an interesting idea for a video too. Situations where you found creative ways that are not "ideal", but "did the trick" (for example the way you swapped the images of the serpent's wings while flicking his tail really hard for distraction).
      It's the animator's equivalent of coughing loudly so people can't hear you fart lol

    I was having a bit of a problem with the IK constraint, when I snaped it the leg fliped upward somehow. After I hid everything exept the leg bones it worked...
    Anyways, grate video. If I ever manage to make something nice I'll tag your Instagram page =)

    Is click child bone to create ik target at child bone (4:30) a 4.0 feature? I have to use 3.8.x for our projects and I think I'm a bit sad rn.

    At 14:00 how are you binding the end of the path to the controller bones? Your not binding it, or if you are maybe you're using a keyboard shortcut? I need this for a project so you're help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

      Select the path and bind it as you would do with simple meshes. Hit G to open weight panel. There you will find bind button.

    Hi min. 3:02 when you say "animations" you refer to individual key frames or an actual animation? Or you can disable IK the same way you do for slots?

      You can disable IK in animation by reducing mix value to 0

    what is more troublesome for developers : more keys of animation,more complex righ with bones, contraints paths etc (slot colorings) meshes etc, wich brings trouble for game development?

      It depends on where the game struggles. Rendering(fill rate) or computing. Generally avoid deformation keys on meshes in animation. And less constraints better.

      Just parent target bone to other bones

    when i select three bones to create IK contraint, it gives me error to say "please select one or two bones" can i not rig IK with 3 bones?

    not clear to me:

      To parent a bone, select the bone and hit P on the keyboard. Then select the bone you want to parent it

    Not suitable for beginners at all. How to create an IK is not clearly described. So I pressed something, and here is the result. Some kind of complex constructions, when the basic one is not explained. In general, the video at the level of magic trick - looks funny, but as a learning material it is zero.

      ​@@armanimationn First, it would be good to show a simple example in detail first. Here you create 2 bones. You say what you press on the keyboard or mouse to create them. Here you select them, again saying what you press. Here you create an IK, telling what to press where, slowly. Here you check the result, with such a request, by pressing this, right there.
      For example, when I try to do this, I have huge problems. When I try to move the IK, from the example above, it remains motionless, and instead of it, the bones moving around it. And the correct result is that the IK should have moved, and the bones should follow it. Why this does not happen, I do not understand at all, and I can not find an answer to this anywhere.
