  • Today we are out on Mille Lacs Lake in Minnesota and we are targeting walleyes on the mud flats. In this video I talk about how to find and catch these nomadic fish that are relating to huge pieces of structure. We are primarily jigging Acme Kastmaster Spoons but we are also utilizing live bait where necessary. Ice fishing Mille Lacs Lake for walleyes is always a good time. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more ice fishing content!

As a non-fishing woman of Southern Californian, I love Tom's videos because I am an avid Victoria Houston fan, and these videos help me visualise a world that is almost unimaginable to me.🐡🐡🐟.

I just got all my new piscifun carbon x reels!! You weren't kidding they are awesome reels especially for the price. sooo smooooth!!!! Thanks for the all the great info you constantly put out. It's nice to have someone give a honest opinion on products instead of like others pushing products because it's there source of income.

I absolutely love your videos. I come from an area where we fished small to medium sized rivers and large ponds small lakes growing up. none of which have a great walleye population to where I ever targeted them. We mainly went after bass, northern, catfish and panfish. Now I live in an area with huge reservoirs and a large river and the learning curve of the difference in water size and a fish I’ve never really targeted before has been terrible and discouraging. You’re videos are super instructional and I look forward to trying out your tips when I head over to Leech Lake on a family fishing trip in early June.

Tom you definitely have one of the best channels out there. You give so much useful information, show where to look and fish. Your not doing a bunch of catch and cook crap like everyone one else or sitting drinking beer and eating fish with your friends. Thank you for bring your experience to us real fishermen keep up the good work and tight lines my friend

Awesome Tom.. Some friends and I will be fishing Lake of the woods in Minnesota the 26th to the 30th . I guess i will be packing all my cast masters I have . The Acme hyper rattle works wonders here in Oklahoma for walleye and saugeye .

I was going to get a new piscifun reel for ice fishing, but I was at Scheels today and they had Shimano Sienna combos for $24.99 with really nice noodle rods, so I grabbed one of those. Can't beat a combo for cheaper than the reel by itself.

I just can't get past the reg's on Mille Lacs. Sure it's fun to catch and release, but if I spend thousands on fishing related stuff and can't keep enough fish for a meal for my family I say screw it and go elsewhere. I wish the DNR would spend our tax and license money stocking non-ceded lakes. All they're doing at Mille lacs is spending millions mismanaging it anyway for no benefit to MN, just protecting the walleyes so natives can spear and net them. What a joke and a waste.

    • @TomBoley

I go to mille lacs because it's an awesome walleye fishery. I could care less about keeping a fish

@@TomBoley To each his own. I like your videos Tom. You seem like a good guy, but you're obviously backed by some resort interests around Hayward, maybe Mille lacs too. That's OK I guess, you gotta eat too (not fish though apparently). Best of luck with your youtube channel.

I live 40 minutes from Mille Lacs, I rarely go there because of the DNR regulations.
