Andres, for iPad specifically with web development, I found CodeSandbox to work very well for iPadOS and to pull in that same workspace to VS Code on my actual PC.
I love these in depth real day reviews! Its a breath of fresh air to see a content creator make content that doesn't feel rushed and has such amazing videography!
Finally! Not just another content creator who thinks the only workload in existence is video editing. The input on coding tasks was invaluable and exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for the detailed information, beautiful videography and great storytelling. Subbed.
@@pXiusZA You stated exactly what I was thinking. As a data engineer, I'm glad to have finally found a review of the iPad Pro that involves coding as a workload, not just video editing. I also subscribed when I heard that portion of the video.
I went iPad Pro only around 4 years ago and also paperless. I don't print anything, I copy and printscreen a lot, all digital. I use my iPad for photo and video editing, for communication of course, for astrophotography, for my weatherstation, for digital painting, for logging on to my work network, for webdesign and content management, etc. I use it many hours each day and it all works like a charm. Would love to see some much needed improvements on the iPadOS. The iPads deserve to be taken serieous by now 👍
unfortunately they wont how we want it to be. of of apples top managers said that they see them as different products which complement each other. of course they will improve iPadOS year by year but we cannot expect a system like surface and windows short term. i hope some day the iPad/Macbook sales will decrease that they change this strategy. i would love to run MacOS in iPad or having something like „MacOS mode“ if a keyboard or an external monitor is connected. Including the proper finder/file management system.
@@itismaxs I don't see that as being very far off tbh. Apple had various growth sectors in the 2000s-2010s. Most of them have already been replaced (ipod) or reached or close to reaching maturity (iphone, ipad, iwatch). Apple already has the majority of the market in tablets and phones in the US as well as the watch. At some point it will make more financial sense to combine the divisions again. I would love for them to improve Ipad OS but every year that passes with such small improvements makes me believe they can't differentiate and innovate separation between the products. If Ipad OS is supposed to co-exist as they say they shouldn't see a threat of making more changes. Also, as the Pro line becomes more expensive than the Mac it just doesn't make sense to keep it as a companion device. Even at the lower level of the Air.
Absolutely the best video on the new iPad I’ve seen so far. And I’ve watched them all. You are one heck of a filmmaker, dude. I can tell you have a great sense of style and put a lot of thought into your camera angles. Can see everything so clearly. Totally professional video. Feels like a short film.
Beyond the stylish video editing, nothing much was really mentioned that wasn't covered in other reviews. Other reviews have gone in more depth as well and this feels more of an artsy review rather than one that is truly critical. Overall by the halfway mark, this video dragged its feet to the end. Apple has a clear idea of the limitations since they don't want to confuse their macbook lineup with their ipads and no one is planning to buy an ipad to do serious programming, but maybe a little on-the-go short video editing.
i couldnt get passed the first 10 minutes because all he was doing was describing whats new with the ipad, which was announced over 2 weeks ago. Not only had all the videos about whats new with the ipad been long out, but thtas not what the title of this video is or for nor do i understand why 10 minutes of the video are that
Still limited by the OS. I’m still running a M1 Pro 11” and only big upgrade I’d see is the OLED display. $1400 CAD for the 11” and $1800 CAD for the 13” is insane. People are buying less iPads so Apple increases the price. Makes sense 😂
yup yup 😅 Dont get me wrong I love the OLED, its a very nice display. And outside there is a very noticeable difference. However, imo upgrading just because of the OLED is not worth it... I think OS wise its 75% there. For us, using DaVinci has been absolutely insane. So im actually really impressed by it in that regard. I do feel like it's a very niche machine for what you are paying tho.
@@andresvidozaI’m currently using the M1 iPad Pro (11”) with Magic Keyboard and pencil. If i were thinking of upgrading I will just trade the whole setup for an M1 Macbook Pro 😅
Technology, whether that is iPhone, iPad or even MacBook… Hell even outside of Apple a NVIDIA GPU. Technology doesn’t explode and change dramatically every single year or even every few years. You’ll get a little better each generation with occasionally a breakthrough of some kind here and there. Upgrading Technology should be every say 5 years on average. If you’re pre M series this is a great spot to get in, but as someone with a M1 or M2 already in an iPad, you shouldn’t be even looking till M5/6.
It's not limited, people's expectations are misplaced on what a tablet should be. The only real limitations i feel are trash file management system and poor external monitor support
I was simply watching tech videos since I stumbled upon his channel, and I've got to say, its the best tech review channel I came upon the last 6-7 years of watching youtube (I am 16). But hats off to you and your production team. Keep growin
The very very BEST tech review video I have ever seen!!!!!! You bring movie making and tech editing into perfect harmony. You get it, man! Your microphone audio quality is stellar, you're editing is fresh and fly, your coloring is moody, your office set up is bangin' - I felt like I got the entire experience. I simply need an iPad that is big and that allows me to switch between PDFs, Word Docs, and PowerPoint Presentations (My freaking job loves to flood me with documents at the last minute, so, I need to be able to access them and scroll through them fast ... doing it on my laptop is a clunky affair).
11 inch is the sweet spot. Also I personally think using an iPad as a MacBook is doing it wrong. It’s its own thing which is relaxed content consumption and creation in places other than a desk.
Fair you think using an iPad as a MacBook is doing it wrong I just personally like ipads/tablets format, size and stuff like that so I just wish that I could do the same stuff on a iPad as a MacBook so I don’t have to use multiple devices but from what I seen and the possible upgrades the iOS gets with 18 I think the iPad Pro is at a stage where I can do everything home, school and work stuff I need in a device So when I have to upgrade my iPad gen 5 I probably go to the new pro and see if I can use it as main device for everything except gaming so their isn’t a need for my MacBook Pro 14 inch m1 so my little sister can get my MacBook
For me 11" was the sweet spot in school. SO good. Like soso good. Eliminated so much in my backpack. I would very rarely bring my laptop towards the end of my engr and comp sci degree.
Switching to ipad only 3 years ago has been a challenge but every year it gets a little better. I do photography and editing on ipad is way more enjoyable than sitting at a computer with a mouse and keyboard. Theres some things ipad cant do in safari with google drive dragging and dropping files I have to use my old IMac to do sometimes but other than that I really have no reason to go back to a mac. Honestly I think the best combo is a ipad and a mac mini cause now you can use a ipad as an external monitor with a video capture card.
Im a full time iPad Pro user, I do absolutely everything with it. I ditched my MacBook Pro 16 the moment I bought the iPad Pro 13 in December 2020 and there is nothing I could not do with it. I do professional Video editing, Photo editing, 3D design, complex spreadsheets, graphic design, app and web prototyping and so on… once you get used to the versatility of the iPad and how fast is to work with it, it is difficult to come back to work on a laptop or workstation again. I almost never use the mouse, I do not have a touchpath, all I use is the logitec keyboard, the apple pen and my fingers. As long as you are not force to use a desktop only software because there is no iPad equivalent or the iPad limitations do not comply with some processes or programming environment limitations, iPad could be the only work tool you need. And yes it takes some time and some workarounds to get use to it or do the same things as in a desktop or laptop computer. And the same thing applies the other way around, there are things you do with an iPad there are almost impossible to do on a desktop or laptop.
@@oscardiaz4778 Davinci Resolve. On iPad Pros with M processors you can use Final Cut Pro but I have an A chip so I have to use Davinci. Which BTW is free.
Since you asked whether we'd "switch" to an iPad: I'm a college student and photographer who's looking into getting the new iPad Pro. I'm very intrigued by the ability to take notes on a tablet in my classes, as well as using the pencil to edit my photos in lightroom, and all the reviews I've seen have been saying the screen is incredible (Linus even said that when they tested it, it's pretty much on par with a $20K display that was designed for movie directors/crew to view their movies in the most accurate colors). One thing you mentioned in your review that I hadn't even thought of but absolutely will use the iPad for is a monitor for previewing my photos and videos. Thank you for that bright idea. Do I believe this iPad will replace my laptop? No, I never thought it would, and it never could, especially because I'm a Computer Science major. My intention with this iPad was never to replace any of my devices, but to have a device that allows me do things that none of my other devices can. Thank you for your review! Also, the b-roll shots in this video were freaking perfection.
Gonna be honest: I own the 9th gen regular iPad, bought it plus the Apple Pencil last year for an internship and it worked beautifully there. Afterwards, the device collected dust on my shelf for months as there simply was no use case for it. I have a PC/MacBook for productive work and a TV for media consumption. So when Apple revealed the new stuff I was like "Aight, cool. But not for me". But watching your video sort of opened my eyes for the possibility of implementing the iPad+Keyboard+Pencil combo as a killer replacement for my aging MacBook. iPadOS is capable enough for my use cases, and having a device that can transform from a laptop to a tablet seems extremely useful. Of course, price wise it's definitely crazy, but I'm fine with paying more for a better experience. So thanks Andres for showing me this possibility more clearly than anyone's ever done before 🙌🏼
buying this over a MacBook for any reason is crazy, specially considering its more then a MacBook Air and is pretty much the same price of a MacBook Pro and offers way less capability
@@GabrielCapo24 I don't believe that's true for every use case. For gaming, video editing or, as Andres showed in the video, for coding, the Mac is clearly superior. But I use my MacBook for basic office tasks, browsing the web and some light creative work every now and then. Even the base iPad can do all of that very well, plus having the Pencil allows for handwritten notes or sketches which are more complicated to do on Mac. And always having the keyboard attached makes the device less flexible. So in some areas the iPad is also superior I think. Just really depends on what you want to do with it
@@GabrielCapo24I use the M1 iPad Air and the M3 MacBook Pro. Most of the time I go for the iPad since I can do a lot of my stuff on it and it’s better for games and movies. I get where you’re coming from, but if I was cash strapped and needed some kind of laptop then maybe M1/M2 MacBook Air and 10th gen iPad would work. If you can only get 1, 7/10 times I would go for the MacBook but if I could do everything I needed to on the iPad, I’d take it, even if the methods aren’t the most ideal.
8:15 The magnet pair on the pencils must be same distance apart as the pair on the ipad. Nothing to do with thickness. ------ Imagine it like this: M2 Pro: - - M4 Pro: - - - On the M2 Pro, the magnets sit just at the ends of the 2.25mm strip where you sit the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen. Note: there are no magnets under the strip where we sit our pencil. - on the M4 tablets, the charging magnets sit a bit further apart because the FaceTime (front facing) camera takes up more space under there. You can bring a small metal clip to see where they are attracted on ipad and the Apple Pencil Pro. I tested this on both iPads and Pencils. Let’s consider a few things. - The Apple Pencils use Bluetooth. - These two Pencils, Gen 2 and Pro charge via their magnets to the pair on the iPads. - Question: Can either iPad charge their Pencil without turning on Bluetooth? - Question: Can you charge either Pencil on a MagSafe or wireless charger? - If you can use one of those wireless chargers, what next would allow either Pencil to be recognized by both M2 and M4 Pro iPads? If the Pencil recognition is embedded on the M4 chip, then I don’t see an easy or willingly implemented solution. 😢
I am running a 8th gen iPad with the 1st gen Apple Pencil. I mainly use it for Freeform when designing user flows in apps, quick iMessage when I’m not near my phone, media consumption and gaming CODM. Apart from, the dated design and low storage(32) I really don’t see any reason to upgrade since I don’t use it for heavy lifting, and is more of a companion device. Maybe when the OS can do more I’ll consider
I also have the 8th gen iPad and apple pencil 1st gen. It's great for reading and note-taking without being as restrictive as kindle scribe or remarkable. I occasionally use a Bluetooth keyboard for extended typing. I don't have plans to upgrade yet.
I replace my 11inch M1 iPad Pro for the 13inch M4 with Cellular. Have I used it for more than 3 hours since I bought it?? I cannot say I have. Unless something crazy for the software is revealed at WWDC, I reccomend you all hang onto yur iPads that are from 2020,2021, or 2022. The only upside right now is the Incredible Double OLED display, the gaming framerates, and knowing you have the NEWEST AND BEST IPAD on the market. It is also great having the bigger screen instead of the 11inch.
Another day of seeing tech youtubers completely fail in utilizing the performance of the m4 iPad Pro. At this point I don't think it's even possible. Loved the video tho, superb quality as always.
Andres, thank you for sharing🙏 I am a real estate broker, but as an agent I remember the trash cans overflowing with wasted paper. I thought there must be a better way to deliver property info & docs to other agents, that was 19yrs ago. About 10 yrs ago I bought an iPad found a few apps that pretty much did what I needed👍🏼 One day I noticed I Now only rarely use a MacBook when my iPad is almost dead & work can’t wait. I am grateful to all the developers that continue to make my work life way better than 19yrs ago! My 12” iPad is heavy with the apple keyboard but I love it, Sooo looking forward to the 13”…MacBook free!🎉. P.S. there are still agents that can’t go 100% iPad🤷🏻♀️
Ok, I would love to take my hat off to the creative decisions made for this video! Beautiful! As for iPad usage, I’m watching your video along with others to see what is said. I use a M1 12.9 pro with a 49” Samsung display. Overall I love it although it’s taken a moment for Apple and some app makers to finally provide what is needed for my workflow. I spend a lot of time in RDs but I also teach. So being able to go from desktop setup to digital notes at a lectern is beautiful. Only things keeping this from being a 100% setup is: 1. scaling/resolution control for the 49”… but I get it. 2. Remote control during Teams calls although now Zoom has provided a way out on this so it may be a matter of time. 3. Ability to run Audacity. Thank you again for this production. Looking forward to the updates and your findings. I’m still several clicks away from the upgrade
For me it’s UA-cam 😂 But with the M chips I do most of my photo and video editing on it as well. I’m not sure it’ll replace a regular computer, but if it gets me away from sitting at the desk all day, all the better.
I can use this as a full replacement with W365 and a virtual desktop. As an MSP provider I have a Jumpbox no matter the platform so this is something that I can truly use as a direct replacement or as a very light travel loadout. When I need true OS functionality it’s just simply log in to my remote desktop and I’m full powered.
I once owned the first ipad pro, loved it. Had it for a few yrs, my daughter got older and got into drawing. So I gifted it to her because I wasn’t using as often. Here we are in 2024 and I miss having the ipad pro. Want to get back into drawing. I am struggling on getting the 11 or the 13. Have not seen a vid on the difference between the two aside from the obvious…size. Thanks for your input in this vid. Very appreciated.
In 2021 I got the iPad Pro 11, thinking it was big enough, but i switched to the 12.9 fairly quickly. The bigger screen is great, because the iPad is my daily driver: Work, youtube, games, viewing photos and a little drawing. Traveling with the bigger iPad is not an issue for me, and although holder the bigger size in the air is harder, when having it on my lap or table, it is not a problem. Holding and rotating the iPad in the air is easier on the smaller model, but the bigger screen is well worth it in my opinion. Seeing as I use it that much. Feel free to ask me anything if you want!
I’ve got the 11 inch and keyboard. I agree, it’s a bit tough getting it open sometimes. I got a pouch for the pen and a small bag/case to fit both with accessories when I’m on the move.
Your comments around the Apple Pencil are spot on. I often find myself finding a reason to use it!! That said, when I need it - it's an essential part of my kit. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for going over coding on the iPad Pro. I want the 13" as I have an M1 11' pro right now. I do connect to remote servers to code so maybe it won't be as big of an issue without a built in terminal.
Funny! .. The amount of time you said "funny" in the video .. But you made a dope video .. This is the first video l watched of yours! Congrats .. You got yourself A new subscriber.😊 PS. Watched it on iPad Pro M4 11 inch 😂
It's funny that everyone tries bring this iPad as close as possible to a MacBook. Many even asked for MacOS on the iPad. If this is the case why not use a MacBook itself if one wants to do the same things on the iPad? Gave up on the idea to use the iPad as a laptop replacement several years ago. I never use a keyboard on my iPad Pro. Why should I try to make a second class laptop out of my iPad? I use it only when an iPad has advantages over my MacBook Air 15", e.g. working in bed or traveling light with a cellular connection build in. If I have to do "real work" I always take my MacBook Air with me. Love this thing!
The Logitech folio I have my for iPadPro 11" (2nd" gen) has always felt like the inferior product to the Magic Keyboard. However, it has a small flap on the top with a magnet that gives you the extra security for the pencil. I always subconsciously loved that, but just now realized how valuable that is when you mentioning the ProPencil and how it sits. In the very beginning, when you showed how thin it was, my eyes were looking at how that Pencil is somehow has more girth than the new Pros
Nice video. I have been using an iPad as a laptop “replacement” for several years…only recently switching to the pro, transitioning from the iPad, to the iPad Air, to the M1 iPad, and now to the M4 iPad. I still exclusively with the 11 inch model for ease of use and transportability. For my daily use, this is my main “go to machine”, although I do have a Windows laptop for work, and one for gaming at home as well. Having this NEW M4 iPad Pro is a lot of the same, except…the camera. I have a lot of conference calls and this new positioning is GREAT! About the only complaint I have, is that there is a “gesture” issue that causes “thumbs up” or “bubbles” while I’m speaking with colleagues or working on things with other agencies and I’m not sure how to turn it off just yet…oh well. I love all of the other features, so it’s a small price to pay! 😂
Bro gave us angles on angles on angles during that unboxing. You would lead us to believe you have 10 cameras and none of them can be seen in each others view point lol Excellent job of shooting
That is 100% relative to your use case. I have to use a work provided Windows machine for my job… so I only do personal tasks and entertainment on my own machine. The iPad is perfect for that - I don’t need a MacBook at all.
@6:00 First product with nano-texture glass was actually the Pro Display XDR, almost 5 years ago back in late 2019. I could have afforded and would have willingly paid for it if actually seemed like an improvement, but my entire intent was to get to a fully-glossy display that was clear and vibrant. Also, the “babysitting” of cleaning the screen only with certain things in a certain way seemed infeasible.

@@CalifornianVideographythe only reason for the high pricing is the storage capacity, going for a 2tb at least make it 2500, I’m planning to buy me one for transportable purposes
Not when it’s the tool to make you 10x that and more in the long run. Know when to invest in tools that will make you money and advance work flow, efficiency, portability, and productivity. Plus comfort of work is important for those long focus time blocks to keep going and an iPad that keeps going with you.
Very good evaluation/review, I purchased my iPad Pro and like you stated it works well for many non PC tasks but overall some things are done better with a Macbook due to software. But overall I am happy with iPad Pro M4 it has come along way and is very sleek and well thought out.
i got the air m2 11' and the apple pencil pro bc im an illustrator and uni student (aaand bc im in need a of a new laptop. im not buying a magic keyboard tho, ill just get some offbrand bc omg its so expensive!) and lets be honest... its more than enough. the ipad pro features are VERY niche, most things are not even noticeble to the average user unless theres a side by side comparison
This is what I am trying to decide now. I have MacBook Pro 13.3 inch M1 chip, but have just bought the new iPad Pro 13 inch M4 chip iPad and now trying to decide would this iPad and keyboard, for me, be as good?
If iPad can replace a MB or not depends on your needs. I’m a lawyer totally in the Apple ecosystem and using for all my professional and private stuff Apple notes as the main hub, reminders as my project and todo manager and pages, numbers for writing, keynote for flashcards and presentations. I’ll now make the definite switch to ipad only as I appreciate the simpler and faster workflow (no window mess). I’ve my Macstudio as well but for all the mobile workflow which is 70% of my job the new ipad is perfect.
I tried making the M1 12.9” Pro my laptop, you can do basic things easily but for video editing whether it be FCP, Davinci, or LumaFusion it cannot do exactly what I need it to do so that is dead in the water. Still got work out of it using it as a color grading monitor for over a year straight alongside a Windows PC, but the iPad pro being a video editing machine is years away for me. So I’m stuck with my Windows PC and my 42” LG C3 😎
Nice vid! Funny, I got the 11 inch and I have the same feel about opening the keyboard. Also the feel how light and thin the ipad is, when connected to the keyboard, all that is gone! I think that is also the reason why the weight is not mentioned in the specs. 😅
I got mine the day that they were released and I love mine! having the camera in landscape view is heavenly and the new magic keyboard and pencil feel slightly different compared to the previous model but feels amazing nonetheless.
I’ve got the 12.9 M1 Pro and I’ve only lagged when playing games where I’ve zoomed in on explosions to test. Everything runs completely smooth with no lag if I want it to.
Great video/perspective. I switched to an iPad Pro before from a Mac air and now contemplating switching back to Mac air as I do miss the functionalities of having a laptop/full OS. Would love to hear a follow up from you on this…
I just got this same setup to replace my MacBook. Tomorrow I’ll be returning it. This device has potential but as stated in this video, it’s way too limiting. But MacOS on it and I’m sold. Maybe if you are a graphic designer this makes sense but as a photographer it’s simply not enough imo.
For me, iPad can completely replace my laptop. I use 2020 Air and the only drawback is the screen size, however it is very portable. Sometimes I use it with external screen even though it has only mirroring, however it still works great.
I’ve had an ipad for years and went with iPad pro pretty much as soon as they came out. I’ve never used a Mac, so I find this kind of discussion fascinating. I occasionally find a tool that doesn’t work on iPad and I have to use my husband’s PC to get stuff done. But that’s always been an issue with the software developer not optimising for iPad rather than an iPad issue per se… Perhaps it’s just that I don’t know what I don’t know…
Hey is it good for video editing im 18 and a student i dont have budget for mackbook i was thinking ipad m4 pro would be great for it can u share ur experience with me pls?
Love the Intro! Yes, I'm having a hard time opening the Magic Keyboard on my 13" M4. The opening tip on preventing scrapping is much appreciated. Yes, my M4 is no laptop. I almost went with the 15" MacBook Air, but for travel and coffee shop trips I thought this retired "Old Dude" would be better served with the M4 13" iPad.
I have been using an iPadPro 12.9” 4th Gen & Magic Keyboard for a few years & LOVE IT for most tasks. I use iPad based LumaFusion for video editing. My problem is with the iOS. I don’t like the “files” as opposed to OSX “finder”. “Files” is clunky & much harder to navigate while saving. I still prefer my MacBook Pro for creating invoices/spreadsheets, paying bills & filing the receipts. I also still need it for Sketchup & Photoshop, as those programs just don’t work well for me on iOS. I carry both devices when I go to work, but I never leave home without my iPadPro, In case I need to show some photos or videos. I would go with the maximum memory if you’re going to be processing video. Yes, the keyboard price is high but worth it IMHO(it has held up very well for years, mine is the faux leather version).
I just wished if we could code on the iPad - that is my main concern - that powerhouse of a chip on the device should be utilized for coding too - then people could use it as a laptop as well as a notebook..!

Thank you SOO much for noticing. We truly appreciate it dude
Yes, so aesthetically pleasing and fun to watch! Good filmmaking isn’t dead! Haha
i couldnt get passed the first 10 minutes because all he was doing was describing whats new with the ipad, which was announced over 2 weeks ago.
@@karinapratiwi90 The m1 pro, m2 pro and now m4 iPad pro are all the same in everyday use. trust me any m chip Macbook is 10x more worth it.
Keep growin
M2 to M4 cool. This display is absolutely insane. Especially for what it means for the future of consumer electronics.
Great stuff man, always enjoy your videos!
Thank you so much brother!
Bruh you're the best in the game much respect from🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
hey man I appreciate it a lot. Trying the best we can. Its not perfect but we try!
11 inch is the sweet spot. Also I personally think using an iPad as a MacBook is doing it wrong. It’s its own thing which is relaxed content consumption and creation in places other than a desk.
The mini is the sweet spot for me :( how much longer for an update!?
@@joekavalauskas8767 either they do like iPhone mini and axe it from existing or probably in a year is my guess
Fair you think using an iPad as a MacBook is doing it wrong I just personally like ipads/tablets format, size and stuff like that so I just wish that I could do the same stuff on a iPad as a MacBook so I don’t have to use multiple devices
but from what I seen and the possible upgrades the iOS gets with 18 I think the iPad Pro is at a stage where I can do everything home, school and work stuff I need in a device
So when I have to upgrade my iPad gen 5 I probably go to the new pro and see if I can use it as main device for everything except gaming so their isn’t a need for my MacBook Pro 14 inch m1 so my little sister can get my MacBook
I can’t roll with the 11 Pro. I returned mine and went with the 13. Glad I did.
For me 11" was the sweet spot in school. SO good. Like soso good. Eliminated so much in my backpack. I would very rarely bring my laptop towards the end of my engr and comp sci degree.
What an incredible video ❤

Your editing is top notch bro. Teach me your ways Senpai
And the same thing applies the other way around, there are things you do with an iPad there are almost impossible to do on a desktop or laptop.
can you say what app you use for professional Video editing on the iPad Pro please
@@oscardiaz4778 Davinci Resolve. On iPad Pros with M processors you can use Final Cut Pro but I have an A chip so I have to use Davinci. Which BTW is free.
MKBHD is insane when it comes to tech drops! The new iPads dropped and the man already had vids ready to go!👀🤯
Yeah he really is the GOAT.
Since you asked whether we'd "switch" to an iPad:
I'm a college student and photographer who's looking into getting the new iPad Pro.
@@GabrielCapo24 yes, even an ipad can't do the same as a macbook because of the OS
Don’t fall for it
8:15 The magnet pair on the pencils must be same distance apart as the pair on the ipad. Nothing to do with thickness.
------ Imagine it like this:
M2 Pro: - -
M4 Pro: - -
- On the M2 Pro, the magnets sit just at the ends of the 2.25mm strip where you sit the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen.

I have the 11” M1 iPad Pro 256gb. My question is, is it time to upgrade? I’m still really pleased with how it performs….
All i have to say is that andres is better than MKBHD for sure 💯
Ok, I would love to take my hat off to the creative decisions made for this video! Beautiful!
As for iPad usage, I’m watching your video along with others to see what is said. I use a M1 12.9 pro with a 49” Samsung display. Overall I love it although it’s taken a moment for Apple and some app makers to finally provide what is needed for my workflow. I spend a lot of time in RDs but I also teach. So being able to go from desktop setup to digital notes at a lectern is beautiful.
Only things keeping this from being a 100% setup is:
1. scaling/resolution control for the 49”… but I get it.
2. Remote control during Teams calls although now Zoom has provided a way out on this so it may be a matter of time.
3. Ability to run Audacity.
Thank you again for this production. Looking forward to the updates and your findings. I’m still several clicks away from the upgrade

Hey thank you so much!

Your videos always have an unique aesthetic appeal and I love it.
Thanks a loot!
for the apple pencil, i bought a minimal apple soft holder that attaches to the back of the case. it’s perfect and looks like the standard
the ipad pro is good but the excess tinness prevent it to have even better hardware and the ios limits it to not compete with the mac sales
In the very beginning, when you showed how thin it was, my eyes were looking at how that Pencil is somehow has more girth than the new Pros
this video is a banger
Great video, great Sunday. Hope all is well bro

Also, the “babysitting” of cleaning the screen only with certain things in a certain way seemed infeasible.

and lets be honest... its more than enough. the ipad pro features are VERY niche, most things are not even noticeble to the average user unless theres a side by side comparison
You're an amazing filmmaker. The style and camera work are top-notch, making everything crystal clear. Wanted to ask what mic you're using?
12:29 you should be able to open it one handed if you flip it. Display side is on the bottom and you open the keyboard side.
Man, you are THE BEST tech reviews. Respect!
Damn, that machines is the masterpiece of modern engineering and technology!
But that’s always been an issue with the software developer not optimising for iPad rather than an iPad issue per se… Perhaps it’s just that I don’t know what I don’t know…
How well organized his working space is. Delicious!

1:18 what wallpaper is this on the screen?
I have the m4 2024 13” and it has easily replaced the mac book, I have just binned my mac book. Awesome iPad m4
I have the iPad 13in and the MacBook 15 in m3 and m4. I use the iPad just for videos and UA-cam.
i love the cinematography on this video man
I just wished if we could code on the iPad - that is my main concern - that powerhouse of a chip on the device should be utilized for coding too - then people could use it as a laptop as well as a notebook..!
