Definitely one of THE BEST IPAD Pro reviews I’ve watched. I love how you are able to break everything down for us. Your content is always top rated quality and your editing skills are phenomenal. Eagerly awaiting your next release! We appreciate you Andres!
The iPad is my all-time favorite tech device. Its versatility is unmatched. What I did with the Magic Keyboard before I started using it I skin the keyboard for all those reasons you are saying.
Yo! This is one of the best in-depth iPad Pro videos I have seen. The commitment to the process is unparalleled. Hella of a job with this. I have been following this for a while now and came to a similar conclusion. Well done man!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Bro, I love your videos! You definitely inspired me to one day hopefully have a life like yours and make videos like you and do the things that you’re able to do. God bless you bro keep it up.
Let us be honest, an iPad will never replace a MacBook. They are made to do different things. On top of that. Why would anyone replace A MacBook Air with an iPad? when an iPad Pro cost way more when you add up the pen and the keyboard. Just doesn't make sense.
And lastly no matter how beef the specs of an Ipad Pro with their M processors now, they are still beung held back by their own Ipad OS. Macbooks will always be superior with MacOS
An IPad can replace a MacBook. The reason why you buy a macbook, is so you can use the power of a mac studio or mac mini, but PORTABLE. If you do have an IPad, then you no longer need the macbook, as most of the stuff you would normally do on a macbook isn’t heavy work. Most of the heavy work is done with your setup at home. An IPad is also better at creative stuff than a macbook, with its pencil, and you can plug it into a mac studio or mac mini, OR EVEN A LAPTOP, to use it as an external monitor. So yes, an IPad can replace a macbook, but it’s probably going to cost you like 4x as much.
@@kysierkevinPeople keep saying that, but it’s not true. iPadOS isn’t holding anyone back. Sure, there’s things that you can do on macOS that you can’t do on iPadOS - for example, there’s no CLI, but for the vast majority of people, the things that macOS does that iPadOS doesn’t - aren’t things they need anyway.
For some reasons, i watched this video after 2 months later. Will be returning my ipad pro 11 inch and keeping the 13 inch M4 today. I love the 13 inch, it can do most of my productivity work, but not without much frustration mentioned in this video, which i really like. A honest and real-user-experience video i can relate well. It helps that this man is both a mac and window user. As always, i love his videos, vlog-like and experience-based.
I've learned over the years - some people are just iPad people, and some aren't. They work a certain way and do certain things, and if you're chilling in the sweet spot in that Venn Diagram, it's amazing. I'm not one of those people - I'd rather just use a phone or a laptop/desktop. The little sliver of a time when I actually was able to use an iPad regularly was at school taking handwritten notes.
"Laptop alternative" is a good catchphrase to describe it. I personally don't want a regular laptop - I would hate windows laptop, as I already have PC desktop, and I don't need full on Macbook. I need to draw, process photos, and have a portable computer for that kinda stuff, hobbies and creativity. Which is why it's a perfect laptop alternative.
What a great edit! I love your take on OS & Android integration. There’s a lot of pluses on both sides, and spaces for improvement. When you are in a profession that uses both - you definitely have to navigate a way to integrate systems to make that workflow as painless as possible!! Enjoyed the highlights & shortfalls you experienced, and hopefully tech will use that to progress it to a future standard. Bravo
Ever since I got the iPad Air 13” 2024 w/ the keyboard in June I haven’t picked up my MacBook Since !! This is my daily driver plus I don’t do all that extra stuff, i use it to write papers, studying, emails & applying to jobs 😅 good enough for me
To everyone saying it’s not a laptop replacement/alternative, it pretty much is. When you are away from home, you can use an iPad (instead of a laptop) because most of the work you are doing away from home, isn’t heavy work. When you are home, just plug it into a mac mini/studio and do everything you can do with a laptop, but with an Apple Pencil!
@@HabeebNG Bruv read my first comment to you.. It’s a replacement for a macbook, because you buy a macbook for portability. But you wont end up using most of the power of the macbook in your car or in a coffee shop anyway. An ipad gives you those bits of power you need, but also an apple pencil when you need to draw, take notes, and what not. When you get home, you are going to do most of your heavy work, where you need a MAC. So it’s a replacement for a MacBook, not a MAC. It’s like saying an electric scooter can be a replacement for a bike, but not a car. A bike is used for short distances, and so is an electric scooter. But when you actually need to go far distances(in this case do heavy work) then you would use a car.
It's not for everyone but as a concept illustrator it has replaced my laptop. If I ever need a computer I just go to my desktop but when on the couch, coffee shop, traveling... I have my iPad Pro with me to keep working with the awesome Apple Pencil Pro.
It looks like you’re not using Stage Manager to its full capabilities. The real power isn’t the four little recent apps windows (that personally, I have turned off - 3 finger swiping on the touchpad is a lot faster) - it’s in the ability to add more apps to the current workspace. Click on the … at the top center, add apps, and now you have the up to four apps in the current workspace and you can arrange their windows however you want. Makes it easy to highlight and drag content between windows. Also, all of the normal keyboard shortcuts, like triple-clicking to highlight a paragraph, should work. If they don’t, it’s probably an issue with the app.
@@andresvidozaDoes that mean you’ve got the Google Drive app open in addition to Files? Any advantage to doing that over just including Drive in Files?

I find myself returning to videos like the Jan Robin Basement makeover again and again-it’s that good! Your creativity and dedication shine through every project, and I genuinely appreciate how much motivation and insight I get from your work. Keep up the amazing work; it’s making a real difference!.
Great video. Great commitment. I thought the outcome would have been predictable but you proved that the iPad is actually a viable main device for some people. I am not a mac person so I have a surface pro. That is the ONLY device I need. I use it for everything and I love it completely. so sacrifices. A full PC whenever I want it and a tablet whenever I need it. A drawing tablet and note taking machine whenever I need it. I am desperate to get the SP11 which would deal with the battery issue I have. Even with that I have a battery but find that I don;t usually have to use it when I am out and about. I rarely have to be away from a wall port for 10 hours which is what I get when I combine the battery and the SP9's battery. Loved what you did. Verry much appreciated. The video colours and smoothness is amazing. Whatever lens you are using when you are siting on the couch and doing the voice over - that lens is to die for - what is it. I love the almost fish eye effect and the way is places you and your surroundings. Again I have to mention the colours and how appealing they are. Great work. The edits and b-roll - really quality stuff. The cuts are amazing and it all looks incredibly professional. Great work. Looking forward to seeing more!
I use the Logitech combo keyboard case - so much better in terms of making my iPad like a laptop- love it! 💻 It has a much larger touchpad than the keyboard case Apple makes.
I was going to recommend the Logitech Combo Touch as a much more versatile device over Magic Keyboard. 90% of time my keyboard is detached. iPad Magic Keyboard is ideal only if you use it at a desk.
I have an iPad Pro from 2019 and it’s still a superb piece of technology. Paired with the Logitech case it is protected with a functional keyboard. I’ve never owned a MacBook before. But am now considering one as my next laptop. But the power of the M4 intrigues me too. But with the iPad I have working so well I don’t see a need for a new iPad. So seeing people replace their work life with the M4 iPad is always so interesting to see.
I was considering the iPad Pro, but after seeing this, I'm convinced the 14" MacBook Pro is a better fit. The iPad has too many pricey add-ons and software limitations, and it ends up costing about the same 🤷🏻♂
I use it as a second monitor for my 16” macbook and its dope for that. I become a power user anywhere I want. Hate to say it but you need both. I also have a ipad mini for watching movies and reading. The ipad mini for me is non negotiable.
I'm only commenting after the first minute so I'll edit if anything else comes up but, it's crazy the position Apple have put themselves in. They sell tablet machines capable of being full on laptops, but they know they can't put MacOS on them otherwise it's completely over for their entry laptop game.

I tried to edit full videos but I just can’t navigate/ access and move things as fast as I need to. But I do use it to color & edit apple log footage from the iPhone when I’m creating a quick social video.
I have the Logitech keyboard case for my iPad Pro, and that offers more versatility. Also, I had the same problem about the pen leaving marks on my previous iPad too.
I was looking forward for this video. Thanks for sharing your experience. I am on the journey of using my iPad Air M2 11-inch, with Magic Keyboard as my secondary personal device. I also strongly to get some things done faster. I don’t master stage manager. And Files is not in my blood yet. Google Docs and Office 365 is a combo I am using. But I wish we had a browser that did not use Apple WebKit. Accessing Salesforce on a browser just doesn’t work. Yeah, sometimes getting work done on the iPad would definitely help me.
Got to agree I think the design could have been better. I love my new iPad, but it isn’t stable when I am working with the iPad on my lap. It’s the same when I use the touch screen - it’s too heavy and the iPad rocks backwards and forwards when it’s attached to the keyboard.
ANDRES! PLEASE REVIEW, the asus pro art px13, and make a head to head comparison to the p16, the iPad M4 and the MacBook Pro m4 - the point of which. The 2 in one experience vs seperate devices! PLEASE BRO IM BEGGING YOU!
Love these vids. Never got why Apple is not offering anymore the smartfolio keyboard. Use this with my iPad Pro m1 13“ and it’s perfect. At least for typing and also for taking notes with pencil. That said. Quality of it is not the best, it’s falling apart step by step, after 4 years of use.
If you wanna completely move your photos to Google photos Apple has a transfer data request service on their site. That should help you complete the migration to Google photos!
U still need an imac to pair with ipad but still its expensive than just a macbook. Just buy a mini ipad or last year ipad because they dont put the chip to good use.
Hy hi, do you face the issue which I am facing like I bought my latest iPad Air M2 along with the Apple Pencil Pro, but the problem with it is when I attach it magnetically within a day, it shows some black marks. Do you feel the same or do you know anything regarding this please help?
This entire review was what one would expect. Long story short, until they allow users a MacOS experience on iPad, it will always have its issues and limitations. With the M4 iPad, it's just way way way too expensive to get that setup along with a whole new keyboard and mouse. Best bet is to just get the latest MBP if you can afford it and get an M1 iPad as a supplemental/companion device if necessary.
I use an app called Local send to transfer datas wirelessly. It's really fast and don't degrade the quality of the file. Altho it needs to be on the same wifi for the devices.
The best iPads are the cheaper ones. Even a 10th gen iPad has the latest iOS 18 update that came out this week. iPads make the most sense when you pay as little as possible for them and use it as a supplement to your desktop or laptop setup. iPad Air maybe the sweet spot but the 10th gen is amazing value if you want one for day to day use and you aren’t editing video/ raw files.
Yeah it’s soo confusing… maybe you guys can help me? I am back being a photographer… I’m getting into videography as well.. I have a MacBook Air… I have an older iPad Pro… The idea of an iPad that handled the MacBook and iPad all in one is tempting. And yes I paint and I like to make drawings on my iPad to get ideas out before wasting paint. I’m looking to upgrade to iPad Air… but I’m wondering should I invest in the pro for longevity? I have $3K to invest but I want to invest wisely… hopefully I don’t need to update my devices for another 7 years. What are your thoughts?
idk why but this is such a good comfort video to watch late at night after a long day of work

I am having stage light effect on my macbook air m2 display. is it quite a normal issue for macs?
Hi can you do a video explaining and setting up a Local Server?
I have a MacBook Air… I have an older iPad Pro…
The idea of an iPad that handled the MacBook and iPad all in one is tempting.
