- In this video I have a look at the Hotpoint washer dryer in the holiday cottage I was staying at. As I don't own this machine, I can't answer any questions about it. If you are wanting to know how to use the machine, I have put a link to the instruction book below.

i just got this one on finance because the price to buy it outright was a bit barbaric, just knowing how to use it my brains just fell out everywhere but you just explained it nice and simple. Thanks
I have bought this washer dryer this month and I agree with you that you didn't know how to use it. Mine so far works very well because I read the full instructions that came with it. Changing times and temperatures is very easy when you read said instructions. The one thing I will say is that my old Indesit (really the same firm) had a dryer that was hot for the full cycle time. This new one has a cooling time which caught me out. Not any more though.Thank you for your video.

I have a small kitchen. I got the AEG washer dryer. It’s fab! Only issue with washer dryer (which I found out!) is to give the drum/door/seal a wipe after drying as the next wash will pick up some lint. I did this after washing/drying towels and then putting black t-shirts in. T-shirts had to be washed again as had white lint all over them.
I have tried many of washing machines. I’ve never had a washer dryer as I’m quite fortunate to have space for my washing machine and my condenser dryer. I’ve now owned two Hotpoint washing machines and I’ve noticed they use water which I don’t mind. I think it gives it a bit more of a better clean my previous washing machine before the Hotpoint I’ve got now was a AEG, and in my opinion, it didn’t use enough of water

I've just received a new free Hotpoint condenser tumble dryer as my old one was a recall getting used to it x
So daily wash and dry that doesn’t dry and only spins at 800rpm which makes no sense to dry but Hotpoint inni
That’s so weird because if it says daily wash and dry it would wash and dry and wouldn’t it make it quicker if it wasn’t drying and isn’t there a feature where you can add a tumble drying cycle to the end of the program
There was this indesit that had a 45 min wash dry and it did wash and dry
I like your appliance videos a lot even though you can't do them as often as vacuum videos for obvious reasons.
😀 we have the silver coloured version of that HOTPOINT washer+dryer, replacing an Indesit that developed bearing failure
Yay!!! Finally another washing machine or washer dryer in this case! I have a beko wer860541G which replaced my faithful Bosch classixx similar to your mum's old Bosch max and it is better than my Hotpoint aquarius plus WMF740P by a long shot. 👍🏻😁
I got a Hotpoint WMF760 but had a beko aqua tech and it was such a downgrade so we brought it back out 🤣

They fill through the pre wash compartment first anyway so you'd be OK putting powder or liquid there
Mines much older than this is wdal8640 it’s about 7 years old 2nd hand it has it. But I can do a wash and dry with a fairy big load in 2 hours and 20 minutes and they are usually dry…. Mine doesn’t have the digital display my old one did this something I miss. And my only quarrel is that some of the presets programs take far to long so I prefer timed drying witch you can use on almost any program without having to set the program to 12 drying cottons. And not sure if there is something wrong with it but it can take up to 45 mins to spin some days or it won’t spin at all. Apart from that I would probably have this one in silver I live alone it’s fine for me. Have a separate dryer compact indesit one. But this one uses less electricity but takes longer…

I had Hotpoint Aqualtis washing machine and matching tumble dryer, the counterbalance weight in the washing machine started disintegrating which was a known issue and the tumble dryer was recalled due to the fire issue.
The 60cm slot in stove had an exploding glass door, which really was the point where I thought this company has no sense of customer safety. Not long after I decided not to use them anymore I saw the washing machine drums were crashing through the tops when spinning and that really made me glad I never accepted a replacement washing machine or dryer.

I always struggles with the time. That always confuses me. Could someone explain me how many hours per each rinse and also I struggle with drying option :(
I'll never get another hotpoint as the last one I had was so lightweight it bounced around so much it smashed the work surface it was under off of the wall.
Which is the best program for this type of machine ?
My Hotpoint washing machine no video available for mine it a Hotpoint NDD10726DAUK. Trouble is some of the settings are different.

A1 means iron dry A2 means hanger dry but don't use A3 or it will actually spin if you do so.
a3 means cupboard dry
I know that A3 means cupboard dry but once I tried it and it did actually spin

@daneilbrown haha the first time mine done that on the cupboard dry setting I was like wtf is it spinning on dry for ??? Was at night to seemed like a full spin again. I noticed timed drying doesn’t spin just tumbles so use that now as it’s quieter I use it at night after work mainly. Don’t get why it does that though? Doesn’t make it dry any faster and they don’t turn off when there dry still goes on for 2/3 hours….

He doesn’t collect washing machines. Dyson washing machines are rare. I’ve seen a few other people upload them recently.
I think Roger has a Dyson robot not sure if there is a review on it yet.

Does anyone know how to clean the dust out (from drying)? A normal dryer has a lid you can pull out but I can’t figure out how to do this with this machine. Would appreciate help
Washer Dryers don’t have fluff filters to clean out as the fluff is rinsed out. Some models have a special programme designed to rinse out fluff.

We have the non drier version of this so just washes and spins and it’s awful!! The quick washes don’t even spin (although should) so we have to put it on a separate spin option! Then there’s the time from time to time where the closes came out smelling like tar (seems common in the reviews
Just get a vintage washer made before 1994. Modern washers can't wash anything for shit.
All the washing machines I've owned in the past 15 years have done a good job of washing my clothes, towels and bedding and hold a lot more washing than a vintage machine. I would love to own a Hoover Computer Control 1100 again, but I know that my current washer will out perform it.

A1 dry is 'iron dry', that's why it wasn't bone dry :)

This machine is i annoying. There is no clear instructions on HOW to dry only. So so disappointed.
I have looked at the online instructions and dry only is pretty simple. You first select the washing programme suitable for the fabric, ie cottons, synthetics, delicates etc and then you press the dry only button on the panel. indesit JUNK with a hotpoint name on it, both brands were once great , not any more
the old hotpoints are better than this one
