I was just about to comment that lol her voice turns into a baby’s voice when Navarro starts talking to her. When she was cursing at that dude her voice was normal lol.
i feel like i’m the only one saying this, but it’s wrong for them to eliminate someone for their canvas tapping out. they should’ve been allowed to get the same amount of time they had left (before the canvas left) but when the canvas is stable. it’s plain unfair because the artist can’t control if their canvas taps.
I love that they brought Julia's canvas back and she looked shook. She tried to interrupt while he was giving his side. Then tried to interrupt the judges, too. Hope she got voted off lol she really tried to lie when everything was documented on cameraaaaa
I was shocked, because I watch a different video of ink master and seeing Julia as a innocent and kind person, but when I watch this video, she was a whole different person. Like I understand that she have kids and she needed to keep going to the next challenge, but that’s no way how you talk to that person who is trying to get a tattoo from you. Just give the men what he wants. And yes I do hope she get what she deserves, and that would be karma.
@@Kinglight503 in the redemption episode with her she told the canvas that got her elephant tat that there was nothing wrong with it and she was full of bs when the canvas said that healed it looked like a circumcised d!ck.
That guy was a gentle giant too, he kept coming back saying that HE was willing to compromise even though that's not what he supposed to do it's what the artist is suppose to do
She did get voted off. However she came back for redemption where we find out her husband had recently passed away and she was trying to turn a new leaf and better herself. She definitely got her karma. I hope she's doing well now.
i don't blame the guy at all either. how can a robot not be made biomechanical? i think she just lacks in imagination. he said he wants a robot with screws and bolts. isn't terminator a biomechanical robot? are tattoos term different than what they mean to the rest of the world? and later on he even said he wants some metal he was willing to compromise. biomechanical doesn't allow metal? the design she made didn't include anything that the guy wanted.
@@TheAndipa she lacks imagination and the literal basic concept of what bio mechanical even is. everything he wanted could transformed into bio mechanical because all bio mechanical is is taking human body parts like bone, tissue, and muscle and replacing them with mechanical parts like gears, wires, pistons, bolts to make him look like he’s a machine. she’s literally an idiot. but she did eventually tattoo him on ink master redemption giving him exactly what he wanted and it was bio mechanical and it turned out really good and i was just like “you couldn’t just do this first time because????”

Bro, is everyone in this comment section retarded something? The tattoo he wanted is was not at all biomechanical. Look up the game Scorn, look up Tiranids from Warhammer 40k, look up Xenomorphs from Alien. THAT is the artstyle called "Biomechanical". The dictionary definition of biomechanical is just a fusion of biology and mechanics, but the artstyle biomechanical has a lot more criteria to it than just mixing together metal and flesh. It is a very complex and detailed artstyle, defined by flowing and organic looking structures. Imagine if nature somehow EVOLVED technology, rather than people using nonliving materials to manufacture it. That's what the biomechanical artstyle is supposed to look like. I paused to look through the comments, but I've watched this show before, the judges are prolly gonna find a way to give her shit for her decision, but in the actual criteria of the show, she made the right choice. The man wanted a tattoo that was technically biomechanical, but was not at all, even slightly, the kind of biomechanical the judges were asking for. He was unknowingly asking for a drastically different artstyle, and she very clearly tried to show the guy that what he was asking for was not the right kind of biomechanical, an the dude wouldn't budge, he was asking for Terminator type shit, when what she needed to do was Xenomorph type shit.
Knowing how to do something and knowing about something are two different things. What a silly comment. I know exactly what surrealism is, but I can't draw. I CAN tell you what is and isn't surrealism.
They do research before they start tattooing. I know that if I needed to do a style that I wasn’t familiar with, I’d do research first before permanently putting it on a canvas
She’s trying to win a challenge for her CHILDREN. She has to follow the challenge or go home. If she did what he wanted, which was a robot, she would’ve went home. The guy was not open to bio mechanical, he was open to a robot. I agree that she could’ve handled it a little different with her tone and words, but I understood why she felt that way.
@@YouBettaDoItForYAHUAH yeah. She could have handled it differently. A lot of these contestants have kids, that part is not gonna influence how I feel about the decision She made. If she cared about bringing home the money to her kids she would have compromised more and made a badass tattoo. There have been many contestants on Ink master who haven’t followed the challenge 100% and still passed because of either another artist being on the bottom or because they’re artistry was that good.

@@stephenasmith273 i definitely agree with you. It was quite annoying how any inconvenience was intolerable to her. And then she expected praise by "reluctantly" tattooing herself.
A mark of a good artist is being able to work with your clients and in some situations the canvas needs to give some too if their ideas don't fit the challenge. Julia was way out of line and I feel really bad for the canvas because he really wasn't being worked with and she was just being a bitch. He was trying hard to work with her which really sucks that she was so dead set on being uncooperative and combatitive. Julia doesn't belong on ink master or tattooing at all if she acts like this with her clients
nahhhh I'm with Julia, all the dude wanted was mechanical. Like the challenge is biomechanical, and she's there to win the competition, so she'd be crazy to risk losing the challenge and even the competition bc some prick wants something that has nothing to do with the challenge.
@@hansolomon6866 the thing is, she wasn't even explaining it though. She wasn't saying 'so that's got the mechanical element but doesn't quite meet the bio part. We can work with your idea and try to change it up a bit to fit the challenge'. Like she could have worked with him and been more patient and help the canvas understand her point. Idk anything about biomechanical tattoos but honestly, my biggest problem was how combatitive and uncooperative she was. She didn't even try to work with him. He was giving ideas and it's her job as an artist to work with her canvas and if their ideas don't work, then explain why they don't work and give ulternate ideas that the canvas might like. If he's naming certain elements and there's a way to work them into the right theme then it's her job to do that, not just immediately go 'no. Fuck you. Tattooing myself now cause I can't give you the time of day to even try to come up with an idea for you that works for both the challenge and you. Fuck off.' Like? How the hell are you an artist, nevermind an ink master, with that kind of attitude? People are usually very understanding if you honestly try to work with them and explain why things don't work the way they think it does, telling them to fuck off and being just a plain bitch like she was doesn't help anyone. She deserved to go home for this. She refused to even attempt to work with him or explain why his ideas didn't fit and offer similar alternatives or work in elements of what he was suggesting
@@bone-thief I must've been watching something else then bc what I just watched was completely different. She told him that what he was asking for didn't work, then explain that it didn't fit the challenge, and THEN proceeded to continuously offer the guy to choose something else. The problem is that he just kept giving more of the same ideas. First he wants bolts and then his "new" idea is wires and stuff. Like she literally told him "that's mechanical not biomechanical", he didn't understand that. She was trying to work with him a TON, he just simply couldn't understand that what he was asking for wouldn't fit the challenge description. Now with that part I DO feel like she probably could have explain the difference between biomechanical and just regular mechanical. But at the same time she was on a time limit and didn't have time to explain definitions and etc. At that point it was established that what he was asking for wasn't going to work and anything that he came up with was exactly the same as his previous idea. She was limited on time and couldn't afford to waste time going back and forth with him. So honestly I would have gotten pissed to, like I DONT HAVE TIMEEEE😂. And youre in my face AGAIN, like we've been over this, it's not gonna work, leave me alone. Imagine this, you're painting animals on kids faces. Your boss says you're ONLY allowed to paint tigers or else you're fired. Your boss also says you have only TWO MINUTES to paint the tiger. Your booth states "Animal Face Paintings : Tigers Only". First customer comes in, but they don't understand the difference between a tiger and cheetah. They want a cheetah, but you know you can't do a cheetah bc you'll get fired. Again, you only have TWO MINUTES and you've already used 30 seconds going back and forth. Options: you do the cheetah and lose your job, you continue going back and forth with the child until time runs out, do the tiger on yourself. Which one would you do?
@@hansolomon6866 while I understand her frustration, I still think she could have shown some examples of biomechanical tattoos and given a basic explanation of it in only a minute or two. He seemed to really try to be working with her but maybe just didn't understand the differences between mechanical and biomechanical. Her losing her temper wasn't going to solve anything and it was her overall attitude that bothered me so much. At the end of the day he has to live with whatever she puts on his body and you have to respect that. It sucks when things aren't super easy and there's some friction but it's part of the job and you have to work with it as best you can. He kept throwing out the same ideas but it would've saved so much time and arguing if she'd just shown him some examples and given him a brief explanation instead of 'I've made up my mind on the design whether you like it or not' instead of 'these are some examples, here's an explanation, would you be cool with *insert idea* or maybe *insert another idea* instead?' It comes off far more cooperative and honestly I think he would've totally compromised and went in the direction she wanted him to if she had just a little bit of compassion and patience with him which she didn't at all. It's a hard situation but she went about it the wrong way and ultimately pissed off her canvas so much he left. If she'd explained things even just a little bit instead of 'nope. Doesn't meet criteria' like 'ok, what does meet it then so I can give you ideas?' Then it likely would've gone way differently and she very likely would've been able to meet the criteria and tattoo the guy. Sometimes you just have to tattoo yourself but I don't think this was one of those situations
As soon as Julia said “if you don’t like it I’ll tattoo it on myself” I knew she had no intention of tattooing that canvas regardless of what he said he wanted lol

She was explaining to him over and over again that his idea will not work, trying to get this dude to understand that she had no real choice in this matter. This dude just kept going on like a broken record, painfully insisting on having his idea to be more dominate in the final design. Even with some biological things splashed in, the judges would have eaten her alive. Even after she had clearly communicated that she will be tattooing herself, and that the train as left the station for his chance to get tattooed, he kept going back to her. Trying to change her mind, even after she told him more then twice that she was dead set on tattooing herself. No means no, she clearly did not want to tattoo him anymore. But, he kept going. Telling her to compromise, despite the fact that he has clearly demonstrated an inability to understand and listen. How can they ever compromise if he won't listen to her very real concerns, and make an iota of effort to understand her limitation set my the challenge. The biomechanical style can't make up only 30 percent off the tattoo, or even 55 percent. It must be at minimum 85 percent off the right style, and even that is risky AF. @@bobcumsley6798 I feel like Julia had it deserved though, she was treating him like an asshole from the beginning when she heard his idea when she could’ve easily incorporated his idea, which she did not.
She was an asshole to him but also the truth is she needed to meet a challenge with a design that the guy wasn't willing to take. He was very nice about it, and left calmly, and her job is also working with he client, but this tattoo was free for him so if you give up your body for a challenge like this you have to be able to accept certain things. Imagine going to a tattoo shop and paying this girl to just shut you up tho.
I love how the judges contradict themselves almost every episode. They want you do stick with the theme and the challenge. But they also want you to not do that if your client doesn't want it. No win situation.
It's not true at all. The judges want to see you be a tattoo artist and work with them. It is surprising how much you can mold what people want if you explain in a way that you want to do something will better fit and ask for trust. She just wouldn't bend or tweak anything , he was 100 percent willing to work with her and he wanted stuff that would fit the challenge. Bio mechanical means machine and body mixed , no reason to not take what he wanted and mold her needs around his. That was a simple issue to solve , she was just absolutely a disgusting person at that moment. A tattoo artist is above all a person who sells art to people that THEY want. Being a people person and having the gift of getting a client to listen and trust you is absolutely a key to the trade.
i feel like Julia just wanted to be one of the people who gets praised for making the sacrifice of tattooing on herself when a canvas quits, so she just created a bad situation on purpose
I mean everyone loves an underdog that goes through trials and tribulations right? So what do you do if there aren't any trials and tribulations? You simply make some yourself.
She clearly wasn't confident with doing the biomechanical challenge to begin with as she never compromised with her canvases ideas, which could've easily be made biomechanical. She lacked creativity/imagination to make it work so I definitely agree and think she just tattooed herself to play it safe and get sacrificial points from the judges. Aint no way it wasn't on purpose.
I feel like Julia was hell bent on doing the tattoo on herself from the start lmao...I feel as though she thought she was going to get props from the judges like Ruck did. Assumed they’d see her as determined or something. Just guessing with how adamant she was with sending the guy home
She really wanted to sell this "hard working mother that would go to any lengths for her children" persona. They called her out of how she would she switch up from the sweet sounding voice to what is probably her natural voice when she wanted to be a bitch. Her response was "oh it's just the mama bear coming out". She legitimately finds anyway possible to bring up her being mother. It's like that's a strategy to pull at heart strings so people will accept the B.S she does. The way she treats people just leave a real bad taste in my mouth. When her canvas left and came back to try to compromise (probably because he has a conscience and the way they left off didn't feel right) the way she shut him down and cussed at him. Ugh. Should've kicked her ass out right then and there because an "ink master" may decline some tattoos for good reasons but they're not going to cuss you out because you aren't compromising enough. I'm sure all that drama was great for T.V though.
She is annoying for trying to do what the style was but the canvas wants a mechanical robot and not bio mechanical? It's a competition. Not a free tattoo to go in and get what you want.
@@Rebnobfulroar he didn't want bio mechanical. He specifically wanted some sort of robot, she was just following what the challenge was, which was a BIO MECHANICAL tattoo, not a mechanical. She was trying to show him different ideas but he was full set on the robot.
I don't think Julie's should've been in this video considering she wasn't "forced" to tattoo herself. She pretty much did that on her own because she wanted her way instead of what the canvas wanted. The ideas the canvas had, actually counted towards the challenge requirements.
I love how Julia's voice goes up an octave from when she was talking to her canvas to when she was talking to Dave or or the other artists before judging
rip her children, she wouldn't be a very fun mother. manipulative and abusive behaviour, unacceptable. don't play the victim when you were the one being a difficult rude person, no one respects that

Because women are supposed to be submissive right? Just do a tattoo that doesn't fit the challenge, because all they care about is if you're nice, right?
The fact that people are willing to tattoo themselves for money is just mind blowing. Imagine not wanting a tattoo and getting it anyway just to end up being the person who goes home...

To a point, yes. Being that picky, though, on a show where you know what the stakes are, you know the time limit, you probably even sign a contract stating that, is ridiculous. If you want something THAT specific, then you need to go find, and pay, an artist who can do what you want, that isn't limited by all these different things.

@Noxolo Shangase Omg, especially when they say they’ve never tattooed a black person before that bothers me so much because you have to know how to tattoo anyone no matter the skin color. Like black tattoo artists tattoo on all kinds of people but white artist don’t that’s just weird.
Right? I think the way Ink Master is run is garbage all around, honestly. But I guess they can't add drama plants if they have back up canvases. The guy who quit on Kito was definitely planted, as a returning canvss he would know how the competition works and what happens to an artist when their canvas quits.
If Julia was a good artist, she’d be able to incorporate his ideas into the challenge theme. That canvas was fine until she started getting combative. I don’t blame him at all. Tattooing herself was not a last resort. It was her call to push the canvas away and be so rude to him. He was willing to compromise and wanted to see what she was going to draw. She made the conscious decision to tell him to “go f*ck” himself. The second an artist started treating me like that, I’d be out quicker than you could say “no more ink.” Also? It’s convenient that she drops the cutesy sweet demeanor when she gets called out on her nasty behavior. She can’t lie about him being the combative or rude one. They have video footage of her being a nightmare.
She was shaken once judges told her they watched video coupled with canvas returned. Then she had nerve to yell at judge when he told her stop shaking her head. She's just a miserable human.
Situation aside, I don’t like the tattoo Julia did on herself. Really dark & does come off a bit like a cover up. She tattooed that guy on the redemption show & that tattoo came out so much better than this one
You can tell that Julia from the beginning just wanted to tattoo herself to seem all cool and say stuff like "look how dedicated I am!! I tattooed myself!!"
Just the fact she wore the flowy dress which is totally impractical for tattooing tells me she walked in that studio wanting to tattoo herself that day
Julia couldve quite literally used some ideas from her client and used her own ideas as well. She lacks creative input, she lacks respect and professionalism. Now shes on TV for all of her future clients to see how she behaves. Oof, not a good outlook to the future of your career.

It's not true at all. The judges want to see you be a tattoo artist and work with them. true, his canvas had a medical emergency while being tatted, julia kicked he canvas out
Julia is so rude and she fakes being innocent, like, calm down jamal
Exactly, she should have just given the canvas some fucking screws. How hard can it be to include screws into a biomechanical design?
don't pull out the 9!
Right? After cussing that guy out she enters the room acting like nothing happened using this creepy child’s voice.. who tf does she think she’s fooling? Covert narcissist.
Idk, she kept saying it has to be bio mechanical and he only wanted mechanical so after he wouldn't compromise she didn't
Brandon Mosley you still have to be polite and not literally say to your client to go fuck himself
That guy has every right to complain about the design seeing how it's permanently going on his body
To a point, yes. Being that picky, though, on a show where you know what the stakes are, you know the time limit, you probably even sign a contract stating that, is ridiculous.
If you want something THAT specific, then you need to go find, and pay, an artist who can do what you want, that isn't limited by all these different things.
@@desireeh5608 yeah but she couldn't even incorporate one of his ideas??? He has plenty of mechanical elements she could've added a bio element to tie it all together... ya know like an artist

deadass 😂 she tattooed herself just to say “i have no choice but to tattoo myself fOR mY kIdSs * 🙄🙄💁♀️👩🍼💩*

@@Elligons it actually did
‘I don’t do bio mechanical’ hasn’t there been a bio mechanical challenge since pretty much season one?
I dont remember if they're in every season, but after a couple seasons, I feel like all the contestants have no excuse for having never done something before. Like dude, did you even watch the previous seasons? You should know by now what styles are gonna come up and should have practiced some. At the very least draw so you can get a feel for the style.
An inkmaster does every style and they work with the customer cos no tattooartist can live on tattooing themselves
@Noxolo Shangase Japanese and American Traditional days are just cursed in this show, almost everyone fail during those challenges...
@Noxolo Shangase Omg, especially when they say they’ve never tattooed a black person before that bothers me so much because you have to know how to tattoo anyone no matter the skin color. Like black tattoo artists tattoo on all kinds of people but white artist don’t that’s just weird.
@@boyiamacomet3350 it’s the black artists not wanting to tattoo black canvases for me
14:00 her high pitched squeaky voice is sociopathic as hell
King Ruck earned my respect. Even the top dogs respected him. They saw he wanted to compete.
Why is there no back up canvas? Like who is working logistics here?
Right? I think the way Ink Master is run is garbage all around, honestly. But I guess they can't add drama plants if they have back up canvases. The guy who quit on Kito was definitely planted, as a returning canvss he would know how the competition works and what happens to an artist when their canvas quits.
When I first started watching, I asked the same think. You would think down the road they would ensure that. Very good point.
Because there aren’t backup body parts in real life either.
Sometimes they have, sometimes they don't
i wonder if its hard to find people willing to get free tattoos that may suck
She tattooed that guy on the redemption show & that tattoo came out so much better than this one
to me, it looked a bit unclean too. but that's probably just me
I totally agree. It was way too dark.
And the tattoo she did in redemption would have definitely fit the challenge
honestly couldn't tell what it was supposed to be. You couldn't really make any details out
@@0ddly0ddless it's not just you,trust me
The guy who tattooed himself is awesome, he did something about his problem while the other guy cried.
That's dedication but they really should not hold their canvases accountable if they tap out
Kid was a problem for Ruck to begin with
Around 13:19 Julie's voice totally changed when Dave walked in to this high-pitched child voice. She's so fake!
You can tell that Julia from the beginning just wanted to tattoo herself to seem all cool and say stuff like "look how dedicated I am!! I tattooed myself!!"
Just the fact she wore the flowy dress which is totally impractical for tattooing tells me she walked in that studio wanting to tattoo herself that day
Everyone have a good new year, may your gains and success be as broad as the guy that didn't get his tattoo
ah yes, you too
Lol thanks dude, you have a good one yourself.
Lol u 2
U2 bro!
I'm CRYING laughing at this, omg
"He doesn't want to compete, he wants to cry" LMAO 😂 It's wild the first man tatted himself and the other guys refused to
Julia couldve quite literally used some ideas from her client and used her own ideas as well. She lacks creative input, she lacks respect and professionalism. Now shes on TV for all of her future clients to see how she behaves. Oof, not a good outlook to the future of your career.
Literally. She could have made it robotic while leaving frayed skin around or across it. It’s all about composition.
I don’t even think she has a career anymore lol i would not ever go to her if she was the last person on earth to give me a tattoo to save my life. I’d rather go to hell
How dare Julia change into a barbie figure with a baby voice to try outshine a huge, muscular hulk. Honey, you ain't innocent. 🤷♀️
That guy was so patient, I would've walked out as soon as I heard the way Julia was talking. she's so disrespectful and doesn't comprehend the importance of giving a tattoo.
Julia was so rude, she could have DEFINITELY came up with a design for the guy and use what he wanted, she just made it so difficult 😬
That canvas that King Ruck had is unbelievable. Straight Panocha

fr fr I'm just reading all these julia comments and I haven't even watched the video. She def fked up by how much people are commenting on it. Why do the worst rudest artists get the nicest canvas? and vise versa I swear the judges have a hand in this.
Julia's canvas was so respectful, I hope to stay as calm as him if I were ever in a similar situation. Julia is the exact opposite I would ever want to be.
JULIA’S FACE WHEN THEY SAID THE CANVAS WAS GOING TO TELL HIS SIDE LMAOOOO
Regardless of all the other drama, I'd NEVER tattoo myself in a situation like Julia's. That's a fantastic way to end up with a tat you really hate. Every time you look at it you'll remember all those negative emotions.
Julia couldn’t even look at him 😂
Her reaction was so satisfying
the attitudes of all of these artists is insane. I understand that it’s a competition and they have a drive to win but some basic patience and communication skills would go far. ive been to so many artists for tattoos and in real life they’ve all been so kind and patient and excellent at their jobs.
The fact that the first dude took the risk of tattooing himself is amazing I can't wait till Netflix puts more seasons in the show cuz I finished the 1nd and 2nd season and I can't wait to watch more seasons of it😁

@@codeskhr4092 I do see what you’re saying but again. The face shes gives when they introduce the canvas to tell his side of the story.
yaknow i dont understand why keith's allowed to drink, or anyone for that matter, but josh was eliminated for smoking cannabis ???? id rather have a stoner tattoo me than a drunk lololol
Fun fact. It's illegal to tattoo or be tattooed while intoxicated or under the influence. Its honestly extremely unprofessional
Nobody should be either stoned or drunk! I'm not sacrificing my body to someone's addictions or inability to delay pleasure. Smoke it at home. Wait the day. Tattooing is not sex, drugs and rock and roll even if it seems so. No. It may be so in some circumstances but not in authorized tattoo shops where you pay for quality and assurance for a hygienic and a clean experience. I'm not paying a functional, well respected, assumed to be hygienic place to have somebody disrespect my body. And I got lots of tattoos. I check the place, the needles, the person that is gonna touch my skin. If they're not ok and I find out mid job I'm gone that second and taking my money. Call the police and file a complaint.
during that time i dont even think weed was legal yet
@@test-zg4hv no other profession that requires licensing is ok for the person to be stoned. Tattooing is no different. No one should be doing their job under the influence.
