Seriously!! Honestly, since it’s an art competition, that’d be the best bet for most if not all judging. If there was trouble with canvases or something, maybe the artists in the bottom could mention that.
the fact pony didn't go out bashing and cursing about the canvas during her screen time, shows how she is so kind and it goes against what the canvas is saying about her
I felt like it was a bit of a culture difference. A Eastern European person will probably not be babying you saying “oh, gurl, you go, you’re so strong, you can do it, yeah babe, sweetie you’re doing great” the way the canvas seemed to want. If you need emotional support you should bring a friend.
@@kristin123a exactly. especially if its in a competition. your artist is tattoo ing for 100k, of course they don't wanna do small talk, they wanna win. and for a free tattoo idk what she was expecting
I feel so bad for Pony. She was so kind and genuinely was trying to do her best with the canvas. I also feel like the canvas kind of took advantage of the slight language barrier and accused her of being insensitive when I just feel like her English isnt PERFECT so she didnt offer up instant comfort when she was upset.
Also The canvas had no problem with Pony’s “bedside manner” before she went to The bathroom. It almost felt scripted, that she left because of bedside manner and not just because she couldn’t take it. Making it The tatooers fault and not The weakness of The canvas makes for more dramatic tv!
@Keyzer Soze telling me I say “feel” too much in a casual setting is such an odd thing to say. Also youre just wrong, so I can’t really say much else to you
Pony's Tattoo is the definition of ink master. It's so vibrant and full. Anyone would be stoked to have a tattoo as gorgeous as that. She wasn't disrespectful at all? that canvas knew what she was getting herself into. She's a grown adult not a baby that constantly needs reassuring that a tattoo can hurt. I feel so bad for pony. And seeing the comment section I speak to everyone when I say she did the best tattoo. Even when it's unfinished. I hope Pony sees the comment section and knows how proud we all are of her.
exactly finally someone who gets it. That canvas was a BITCH! Just because youre soft AF, and a little cry baby who cant take the pain you signed up for doesnt mean you have to take it out on Pony...Pony was nice, sweet, calm talking to her, and that girl was getting angry over the pain, and taking it out on Pony. "you just dont have good bedside manors, and didnt help to keeping me calm" lol she isnt your therapist TF.... You singed up for a tattoo which everyone knows they hurt like a bitch. Yet she cant take the pain, so decides to take it out on her. Almost like she wanted everyone on TV and her friends and family think she didnt finish tattoo because of the artist, not because she quit because she could take the pain. That canvas was a BITCH for that and agreed her rose was gorgeous, I wish she finished it, because it would of got tattoo of the day
I saw someone point out she had other unfinished tattoos on her. Like dude if you can't take it why do you keep getting them? Sounds to me like she only does it to scrutinize the artists
@@Lesaloote not only was it unfinished like her other tattoos but it also looked good DESPITE being unfinished. I wonder if a part of her saw it when she went to the bathroom and decided that it was worth it to cut her losses there. And didn't care if it fucked over her tattoo artist
@Clappy Just load up on some pain meds (liquor) and get it finished. If you come up with the idea and make the decision to get it sober, then it doesn't count as a drunk tattoo.
blind critiques actually proved to me how biased chris was. he cant hide his bias. he'll try and guess who did what and drool/critique accordingly. every one of them someone has "surprised him"
Yeah imo is an artist has a strong style you can tell who it is especially if you're a judge. Not to mention theres other factors to use to tell who is who...
The fact that he was like it's probably cam 🤦🏻♀️ cam was ass that season compared to laura. And the fact that he was like purple colors??? Must be a woman 🙄
In her final elimination, on that same episode, she actually tattooed the same way she did the way you saw here. Pain can be an issue, and she got eliminated.
@@ahoward3503 if she had been kinder more sympathetic understanding and encouraging, her canvas would have stayed. It was her bedside manner. The canvas felt uncared for and unappreciated. A good tattoo artist or a good surgeon will make you fall in love with them while they hurt you because their bedside manner is so understanding and encouraging.

Honestly I really like how Pony's tattoo looks in it's unfinished state. It looks really unique, like the rose fades out so only the petal's skeleton is left. Really neat effect
The only thing that bothers me with this show is that if a female artist makes a gory and bloody badass tattoo on a female client, the judges will say “that’s not feminine enough for her” like no dude.. if a girl wants to have blood, guts and dead things tattooed on their body then they can have a damn massacre on their body. It’s not the artists fault, you just don’t like it because it’s not rainbows and kitty cats
same like a tattoo doesn’t have a specific gender and shit like 4 me i’m female but i lowkey want a grim reaper tatt or a skull tatt honestly i like how the female artists do bold things and not just make it all girly it added uniqueness to them
or when a female artist does somthing and the judges say “it’s not soft enough” they also say that when it’s on a female canvas “it’s not delicate enough for her” like bro what? the canvas wanted harsh and gory shit so they get that. or they use “it’s nice and soft and delicate” as a compliment to female artist or canvases. it’s not really a compliment anymore.
Pony's piece was gorgeous even unfinished, it was finished enough that you could see her work under pressure. She clearly is not native to English and American culture so her bed side manner may be different. But focus to do extream realism is so important that talking could be time wasting and distracting. She was whiny, tattoos hurt, she was getting a beautiful free tattoo and tapped because she wasn't being babied. Judges should've kept her because the work she had spoke for itself
Yeah maybe they should be doing some background on the canvases, once they saw she had many unfinished tattoos she shouldn’t have been allowed to be tattooed.
Even then when you get a tattoo they're not gonna give you bedside manners, they need to focus on the tattoo and not on you, it wouldn't have mattered what artist she got, she was gonna end up complaining either way.

Aw man poor Pony. I could immediately tell she's slavic. We have different demeanors. Trust me when I say that she was genuinely kind. I think anyone can interpret it from her tone and how she handled the client's critique. I know it's usual for some Americans to be really open and assertive compared to other countries, just look at how they treat people entering a store- that client seemed used to treatment like that.
Honestly she didn’t do anything to this woman, idk why she felt she was rude. Just quiet and concentrating…I wouldn’t want to distract my tattoo artist personally.
She honestly did nothing wrong. I would have preferred a quieter tattooist. And she was encouraging and trying to tell her she's trying her best to be gentle and the girl wimped out cause her head wasn't being patted and ice cream wasn't fed to her on golden china
Everytime I watch the eliminations i can not help but think that women in this show get eliminated way to easily. Like really the guy who didn't even respect the challenge get to stay. And the unfinished rose is still way better that the weird totem of that other guy.
Cam didn't follow the challenge as well, but I think he did better tattoos. Might just be a taste thing, but I'd prefer either of Cam's pieces over Holly's. She did follow the challenge a lot better though for sure. Hard to say who should have one there. Tattoo wise I'd vote for Cam though, which I think is the most important part.
@@InqMozgus That's fair, But he's in a competition doing challenges, his tattoos were great but he completely ignored the task that he was given. It was supposed to show how versatile you are in terms of artstyles, and while quality is important, if you go into ink master doing the same things over and over you shouldn't win. He definitely shouldn't have stayed in this instance. He was told to do two different artstyles, the result was two tattos that we're in the same style.
Listen to the confessionals by the women and POC. They’re always complaining about how overtly and systemically sexist and racist the industry is. Men have an easier time getting their foot in the door and building up the necessary experience. There is always more men in the competition except for that one season that was men vs women and there have only been 2 female ink masters, even though the final 10 usually retains more female competitors that started compared to guys. Not to mention some of the guys who participate on this show are sexist shitheads.
That unfinished rose was objectively the best tattoo of the round in terms of technique and accuracy. The fact that they rated it as the lowest just because the canvas left is insane. And even unfinished it looked better than most of the other tattoos, especially that stupid goofy eyeball tat. But the judges have proven again and again that they're biased in their tastes.
@@calycalyps0 I thought the same thing. Typically when drawing you tend to start with the outlining 😕 I'm pretty new to doing tattoo work but I'd assume most of the time it's a similar situation
Immediately lost my respect for the judges after they sent Pony home, and then said that Alexis had the second worst of the day? so if pony finished her tattoo, Alexis would of gone home? are you kidding me? Their critique was absolutely bonkers like they clearly just don't like the style of it. It's unique, its vibrant, it's clean, its detailed. yeah I cant take them seriously at all now.
I genuinely loved Alexis's tattoo! As soon as I saw it I thought it was super cute, nothing about it felt obviously bad to me. Honestly, a lot of the critiques in this show feel like they miss the mark completely. They nitpick small things that a consumer wouldn't even care about, and ignore large issues that a consumer would.
@@Blixtwixy being an artist myself, it’s our job to train our eyes to notice these tiny little blurbs that the consumer may not notice. That’s what makes the difference between good and great. Sure our clients might not notice but it’s something our competitors would and sets us apart from them BECAUSE of our attention to detail. Personally I liked Alexis’s piece and think the tiki looking head should have gone home simply bc of perspective. For me getting proportions and perspectives down is a much bigger Issue than the Alexis’s lack of fine detail/line work.
I’ve only seen this vid but the judging comes off as sexist and biased, instead of judging purely on artwork and competition rules. Like what does it matter if a tat is ‘colored femininely’, it doesn’t make the artist automatically female. Or if a contestant DOESNT follow the challenge, it showed make them automatically disqualified or at least very heavily judged against
@@ReallyUnexplainable do you not hear the judges say they are surprised when they find out their favorite pieces were from the women? and they assumed it was from the men. that’s sexism babe
@D12 Raging yeah right. that season was the battle of sexes so blindly guessing they would start with who's more likely to have done this coloring or design. "this looks like a man/woman did it" isn't being sexist, they're just guessing with their knowledge and information
apparently the judges think that only woman could tattoo with a pink and purple pallette please stopwith these statements of feminine vs masculine tattoos thats just weird, anyone can pull anything off
It's so bizarre when they say things like that especially in a creative competition. There are no rules when it comes to artistry. Anything goes. That's the beauty of artistic vision and creation. The judges need to regroup lol
Just like in that other one where they had to do horror tattos and then the critique was that it's too masculine for the female canvas ?? Like she loved it lol isn't that what should matter ?
I feel like the judging should ALWAYS be based on the artwork regardless of the person who did it.. they always seem to have a bias against women and are surprised when women make a great tattoo. They really base alot of the judgements and critiques off of the gender of the person and the gender of who is wearing the tattoo. They should do way more blind critiques

@@fromoz9294 Sure, if the only standard you're measuring is inclusion, but sexism breaks down to a lot more than just inclusion. All I'm saying is when a judge on an art competition says "that looks like one of our ladies' tattoos" or "girls don't usually go for something so dark and gothic" it comes off as attempting to take away the agency of that artist based solely on something as superficial as gender. When they say "I didn't expect a women to do this" it is synonymous to "I didn't think you were capable of this, because you are a woman," which means this artist has to work up from this judge's preconceived notions of what women are and aren't capable of when it comes to art. This is inherently sexist, her being a female objectively has nothing to do with her art, and to say that a certain piece of art "looks like a woman did it" is to take away that artist's agency, and when you do that, you defeat the purpose of art itself.
EDIT: Who would've guessed that my lukewarm observation would start a war? It's wild how many people are reaching to insult me so hard that they're using a Doctor Who reference (my username) and my sister's drawing of me as a teenager (my profile picture) as fuel. I can't stress this enough; I'm genuinely not as passionate about this take as you think I am. OG COMMENT FOR POSTERITY: The way the judges talk about 'feminine' and 'masculine' tattoos is kinda weird. You'd think they'd stop doing that after being wrong so many times. "Too masculine for a girl to have done it." "The colour palette made me think a girl did it."
Right? The phrasing was a put-down, because it seemed to be all about lady-limitations. They got pigeon-holed. The show would benefit from more blind judging - I bet we'd have way more lady Ink Masters.
I also cringe at the way they judge tattoos on the female canvases by saying it's too "masculine" to be on a woman's body. Just because a woman has a gritty skull or a dark horror tattoo doesn't make her less feminine. We're not all bubble gum, flowers and rainbows. I've seen male canvases on the show receive "feminine" looking tattoos and sex is never brought in to the conversation.
YESSSS! i agree with not only the original comment but all of y’all’s responses!! it’s so damn true you’d have to be blind to miss it & that’s concerning esp in this climate.
Pony's canvas is just disgusting and rude. Honestly, girl, if you're not gonna be able to deal with the pain, why do you go there in the first place? It explains why she doesn't seem to have one single tattoo completely done. She's a waste of time. Poor Pony.
I almost sympathized with the girl too. Maybe Pony was heavy because of time constraint and for people with a lower tolerance, that can be rough. You may need a few breaks. But seeing the other arm with multiple unfinished tats and the way she blamed Pony for not consoling her, she lost my sympathy quite quickly.
She wasn’t being rude Pony was being heavy and she said it is because she was trying to smash it out it was so simple. Her saying you knew it would be painful and just going back to wipe over a spot you had to hit multiple times will hurt more. They just didn’t gel well
That’s what I said ! Like you knew what you signed up for if that pain is something you can’t handle why come and waste everyone’s freaking time!! It really pissed me off and pony wasn’t rude at all. Of course there’s gonna be times they rush THEY ARE ON A SHOW!!

There’s nothing Pony could have done to make that canvas stay. If she opted out with only that much of the tattoo done then she has zero pain tolerance. You can even see that her other tattoos aren’t finished, which probably means she left early on those too. It really sucks when good artists go home solely because of a bad canvas. It doesn’t happen often, cause even if there’s a bad canvas the artist can succeed. But Pony’s was impossible, Pony could of been the most considerate human on Earth and it wouldn’t of mattered. That canvas clearly doesn’t have the durability to be getting tattoos.
She might have been referring to the Sabertooth Tiger which isn’t actually related to any modern cats. Pony’s canvas didn’t have a problem with pain, she had an issue with a language barrier. It felt like discrimination, but she hid it so she didn’t come off like that. Totally unfair for pony
I respectfully disagree if you look at the canvas’s other tattoos the sugar skull is mainly an outline suggesting she tapped out on that out too. The tattoos on the canvas’s bicep looks more complete but if it’s colored it’s very light blue to the point where she skin could be coming through. I think she used the language issue as a scape goat for being a wimp primarily based on her unfinished tattoos.

I’ve heard him call out an artist for putting “too much black a lady” and that you “really should go that dark on a girl”. pony being eliminated for her unfinished piece when it was arguably one of the best there because it was “unfinished” is rich considering how many men have stayed with unfinished tattoos. I can keep going. there is a very obvious gender bias, whether it be with the canvas or the artist.
@@faithfox8851 You need to look up the definition of multiple. Over 70% of tattoo artists in the US are men. You may not like it, it may go against your own personal beliefs, but the vast majority of people in the world can clearly be categorised as feminine or masculine. In fashion, women are adorned by feminine garments. In art, women are portrayed as feminine. If you look at most womens' tattoos, you will see a stark difference in their style, predominantly that they are more feminine, and depict objects and characters that are classically feminine. Pick a show, person, or company, and s tiny minority of very vocal people will likely have been outraged over something. Women are overrepresented in the show vs the industry. I have seen a plethora of artists who have eliminated because of an unfinished tattoo, even when that artist was obviously better. Is the idea that television shows are there to make money? And don't you see the disconnect between claiming the girls were given their own show for revenue, but the main program being biased? Does profit not matter when it comes to Ink Master? I don't want to be rude, but all of your points feel a little grasping. Like you *want* it to be true; perhaps to confirm your own bias.
@@literate-aside My point with the feminine/masculine comment is that it has ONLY been made towards women. I have never ONCE heard a comment out of the judges mouth about a man having too much of a “feminine” tattoo, or telling a man that he used too feminine of colors on a man. it has only been used against women. Nunez has made comments on numerous occasions about women giving other women too masculine of a tattoo, once saying that an artist shouldn’t tattoo a “tough” tattoo on a woman. In the blind critiques, there are comments about the tattoos being colored and draw femininely, meaning it has to be a girl, and the tough looking tattoos being done from men. he is essentially saying that women shouldn’t wear tough tattoos and women shouldn’t tattoo tough tattoos on other women. I don’t think my points are grasping at all, and a great majority of the comments agree with the points that I’m making, and make the same points that I do. Nobody is saying that the point of the Angels show isn’t to make money. Because no shit lol. But you’re saying that they aren’t biased against women on Ink Master because the network has a show with women on it. Just because they have a show with women on it doesn’t make the judges in a completely different show any less biased towards women lol. It honestly really doesn’t have much correlation considering they aren’t involved. But, it’s also very obvious the show was done to please people who were slamming the network and show for not being more inclusive. And because the audience really took a liking to the girls. Meaning they will tune in and they will make money. This isn’t about the network, it’s about the judges on Ink Master and the message they’re sending to people who want tattoos and have tattoos. Whether you want to say it’s gender bias or not, it’s off putting to say the least. Somebody who is supposed to be an unbiased judge with years of experience is preaching that women shouldn’t have tough and dark tattoos to an audience that has women artists and women who are tattooed. I don’t feel like the gender of the canvas should matter. if the artist is producing a badass tattoo, it shouldn’t matter if the canvas is male or female.
Respectfully, I think this comment is full of shit. You're cherry picking times that seem like bias only because you're only applying these "examples" to the women"s situations. Plenty of men have been screwed over unjustly or critiqued harshly based on what's expected of them as well. If anything, Inkmaster panders to women. This is a really BS way of viewing the world. Even if things were 99.9% perfect, people like you would still act like that .1% is the majority.
I can't believe they sent Holly home, this just proves how played out this show is, they deliberately kept Cam. His tattoos did NOT meet the challenge so he should have immediately been sent home end of story. I’d be embarrassed af if I were her.
Exactly! Its different from when you get a tattoo in normal circumstances where you have commissioned an artist to work for you. It sounds harsh but you are not a client you are a canvas because you are not paying - its about the artist not you.
Pony is a genuinely sweet girl. She was showing concern. Her intentions wasn't to hurt her. Everyone tattoos different. If you notice none of the other tattoos that girl she was tattooing was as bold as that rose and wasn't as solid. It's going to be more tender. Thier is a time frame she has to meet to have it complete. Her line work was clean, the color was saturated, it was identical to the photo. And that shouldn't be used against her when a client taps out on a good piece. I've seen episodes that either artists, or canvases have flipped script. She was calm and collected. She didn't only do a damn good job, but she did it respectfully. She spoke with her canvas, and gave her canvas a explanation with an apology. She showed more than alot of artists do. She was empathic and sympathetic. She wasn't completely heartless. I think overall she executed it even unfinished. From my judgment and opinion I would have given this a 5 star review.
Honestly I would love a complete switch up of all the judges. I would love to see options of other judges. I would love to see 3 judges all from previous ink master. The top 3 favorite ink master.
they shouldnt even need to do a blind judging because they should be unbiased no matter if they know who did it or not. this is basically an admission that they are biased when they know who did the tattoo
I hate when canvases tap out. You knew what you were getting into. It's going to be painful, there's a time limit, there's a challenge, etc. You're getting it FOR FREE. You're getting a tattoo of mostly what you want and you dont have to pay hundreds of dollars🙄
Women in the comments are correctly calling out the misogyny on the show- And then men come on and say it isnt and that women are snowflakes. Thanks for inccorectly mainsplaining to actual women- "they say that cause it's true." when will you learn that it's not the critiques we're referring to
If I was Pony’s canvas I would feel like an idiot knowing I could’ve had a fully finished gorgeous rose for FREE at that, but tapped out because I couldn’t handle the pain 😩
Really disappointed about Pony being under fire for that insanely beautiful tattoo. The person getting it was the rude one. I do feel like the judges pick favorites… In Art School we always judged first than revealed who did what. It’s common courtesy for the art to speak for itself. Art should not be based upon the artist but the art it’s self.
I saw the judges point but like alot of people said it looked great like it was; almost looking intentional. I think the judges should have brought up that point. They sent Pony home on a unfinished tattoo but others they have let slide and praised what they got done.
How you gonna send Holly home when Cam didn't even do the challenge properly? Pony should have stayed too. I can see why a lot of people see the judging as blatantly sexist tbh.
@@darnarxz I disagree, but even if you were correct, he didn't meet the challenge. He didn't prove to be flexible, which is something they preach on this show. Why would they let that slide this time and not all the others?
I know that Pony's tattoo wasn't finished, but that's the most realistic rose tattoo I've ever seen. It's absolutely beautiful, like someone took a rose picture and pasted it onto skin, it's that beautiful
Honestly I really like Pony's tattoo in its unfinished state, it has something really beautiful about it with those veiny lines and structures over teh canvases really pale skin
I detest how gendered ink master is. "this tattoo looks like a woman did it", homie, their genitals aren't the things that are doing the tattooing. I would leave a shop instantly if my artist was trying to put me in some stupid box like that. Art is art, and the judges are just stupid for limiting it.
I feel so bad for Pony... she didn't do anything to make that woman feel uncomfortable and yet her tattoo was the best looking rose I've ever seen by far
I know right. "Light purples and blues are a women's colour palette." "Women can't possibly create bold artwork or have it on their body." Both statements make me lose braincells.
I wonder if Holly had done Cam's tats and he had done hers what the result would have been. The show was so sexist that I honestly believe they woulda still sent Holly home. Claiming she didnt meet the challenge. Smh they really needed a female judge on the show.
Tatu Baby did a cheetah tattoo that I did not think was that good; she did not finish it because her canvas got sick. She was praised to the high heavens for it.
If you can't handle the pain you shouldn't be on the show. People are fighting for money, for their careers for a customer base and you have people just pussing out? That's not acceptable
That’s bc he didn’t do the challenge. The whole point was to do different styles and he did basically the same style one both. But idk I don’t follow the show.
Idk why people expect tattoo artists to be great artists, technically sound, AND nice at the same time. They are there to give you a piece of art lol, that lady screwed Pony for no reason
I think part of it might be the adrenaline rush from having recently been trying their best so they never actually get a chance to pause and examine their own work before it gets judged. It's like spelling errors in an essay that you wrote in two hours, if there's a time limit you won't always get the chance to go back and correct them.
@@lizar4581 yeahh def cause they are under pressure when doing the tattoos, that def already sets them up to make mistakes in the first place vs. doing the tattoo with you and just the client or tattoo shop.
i don’t get how pony’s light outlines of where she was tattooing is such a huge deal… is it any different than a tattoo artist doing the outline and shading it in? or the artist having to go over a line twice?
Honestly all of these tattoos are absolutely gorgeous. Seriously talented group of artists here and I would be proud to have any single one of them on my body.

They always seem kinda biased against the girls. Like, really, the dude did two tattoos in the same style when it was supposed to be two different styles, but the girl that met the challenge is going home? Come on.
Still, she probably had better experiences with her other tattoos. I think she should have expected that in the competition environment, she won't get as friendly a reception, but still.
I mean on one hand i get what ponys canvas was saying, a tattooer should be at least a bit of a people person. But on the other hand, this is a competition and there was a time limit, pony didn't really have time to be "nice".
There is also a difference in culture as well. Not everyone grew up having their hand held or coddling people. The canvas signed up for a free tattoo most likely knowing they couldn't handle the pain of it based on all their unfinished pieces.
I wish that blind judging was more prominent on this show.

I also feel like the canvas kind of took advantage of the slight language barrier and accused her of being insensitive when I just feel like her English isnt PERFECT so she didnt offer up instant comfort when she was upset.
💯💯💯💯 I noticed the language barrier scenario too
Also The canvas had no problem with Pony’s “bedside manner” before she went to The bathroom.

OG COMMENT FOR POSTERITY:
The way the judges talk about 'feminine' and 'masculine' tattoos is kinda weird.

BRUH! That rose is BEAUTIFUL!!! If only it was finished that girl would’ve gotten compliments for the rest of eternity !😤
I love how it looks unfinished honestly
Pony's tattoo was killer even if it doesn't get finished. The fact that she didn't just went on a rant and called the canvas names like many dudes had speaks nicely of her too.
The subconscious (or maybe conscious) gender bias from the judges, particularly Chris, really jumps out in blind critiques
Examples please?
Women are over represented in the show comparative to the industry, women have won multiple times including an all female final, and they have been given their *own show*
What's the bias here?
@@literate-aside there have been two girls to win ink master.. three of you count the final where they all tied. multiple is a little far fetched lol. the only reason they made ink master angels was for $$$$ and pandering. they had been consistently called out for the underrepresentation of woman on their program and everybody loved Ryan and the girls. they knew it would make them money. there have been MULTIPLE times that Chris himself has called out women for tattooing a certain way on other women because it’s “not feminine” enough. I’ve heard him call out an artist for putting “too much black a lady” and that you “really should go that dark on a girl”. pony being eliminated for her unfinished piece when it was arguably one of the best there because it was “unfinished” is rich considering how many men have stayed with unfinished tattoos. Erin from previous seasons opted out of a whole tattoo because he “had tooth pain” and still wasn’t eliminated.
That unfinished rose looks so sick. I’d get that over the finished art, has a unique look to it.
I can't believe they sent Holly home, this just proves how played out this show is, they deliberately kept Cam. His tattoos did NOT meet the challenge so he should have immediately been sent home end of story. Maybe Holly's weren't necessarily as clean, but she couldn't help that her canvas' skin going red, and the challenge wasn't cleanliness and legibility it was two different tattoos two DIFFERENT STYLES. Her pieces were very different and extremely gorgeous, she was absolutely robbed.
They were biased yeah but only because they knew Cam was the better tattoo artists of those two. He repeatedly hit the mark as where Holli didn't.
Cam was 100x better he deserved to stay even if he didn’t follow that challenge exactly. The challenges are just to make the show more interesting for the viewers, but their gonna pick who’s actually better either way.
@@McDanMan84 yeah but, if I go into a tattoo shop and ask for an new age, cartoony style tattoo, and the dude ignores that and instead draws up something American Traditional, I'm gonna be pretty upset, that's a wasted deposit. I never comment on videos but after watching these compilations that the page has put up I’ve really noticed how biased Nunez is and how he generally seems to be biased against women (i.e. saying the colors indicate what gender the artist is or by saying a woman cant have a certain tattoo because its not “girly” enough). The blind judging was really refreshing and it lets some of the “unfavorable” artists have a moment to shine. Also his way of judging makes no sense at all at certain times. The man needs to get a grip already.
Holly went home on a AWESOME tattoo..

The girl that left because “the artists beside manned was off” is ridiculous. You are signing up to be a CANVAS. They are competing for a lot of money and working on a time limit.. shut up, sit down and take the pain. No one forced you to sign up to be a canvas. How weak can you get? I’d be embarrassed af if I were her.
Exactly! Its different from when you get a tattoo in normal circumstances where you have commissioned an artist to work for you. It sounds harsh but you are not a client you are a canvas because you are not paying - its about the artist not you.
A lot of people have pointed out that pony's canvas had a lot of unfinished tattoos
I'm gonna be honest, the unfinished tattoo looks pretty damn dope. I think just as dope as the finished one would've been
Pony is a genuinely sweet girl.
Pony’s tattoo was one the best. I would of loved to seen this finished and I really feel bad for her that her canvas tapped out and blamed her for it.
Time to get a female judge to replace Peck. Although just on the judging I would rather replace Nunez.
But the bias against girls is ridiculous

I hate when canvases tap out. You knew what you were getting into. It's going to be painful, there's a time limit, there's a challenge, etc. You're getting it FOR FREE. You're getting a tattoo of mostly what you want and you dont have to pay hundreds of dollars🙄
It's not the artist's fault when they tap out
Sometimes they’re put in awful situations though. Like that challenge with four big areas getting tattooed at one time.

that rose is one of the most beautiful tattoos I've ever seen, genuinely. The way they treated Pony was so rude. She's an amazing artist

It's crazy how the tattoo artists have absolutely no idea if their tattoos are good or bad until the judges tell them how they feel.
I think part of it might be the adrenaline rush from having recently been trying their best so they never actually get a chance to pause and examine their own work before it gets judged.
