Its really an American thing. In the UK swearing isn't censored very often on tv, and nudity is uncensored as long as its shown in a none sexual manner. It should be the same in the US but you can thank christianity for the censorship
ikr it's so stupid, I don't think either of them should be censored but come on. "you can't show breasts unless a part of them has been surgically removed because of a deadly illness"
Let's face it, there was a 0% chance that any constructive criticism would be given for the mastectomy tattoos. The judges would not be able to comment on the tattoos without making the women feel self-conscious so they copped out and just told everyone that they did an excellent job. They definitely made the right call. 🤐
Those mastectomy tattoos were all drop dead gorgeous. If I had to pick a favourite, it would either bei Halo's beautifully crafted and placed flowers or Scott's magical little butterflies with the Dandelion. There's no way I could choose a winner out of them... They were all exactly perfect for what they were trying to accomplish. And I definitely wouldn't be able to send someone home on that challenge.
I didn't get Scott's tattoos at all. The scars were left exposed and all he did was several tiny black and white tattoos. They were not impressive at all.
@@dottiefarmer5547 I think the point is he gave her what she wanted. She clearly had her idea in her head and it wasn't about obscuring the scars but rather decorating the area in a 'sparse' way. I agree that in terms of scar coverup, it certainly didn't do that, but it made her happy and that is pure gold
@@becky231 True, if she was happy that is the most important outcome. I had thought the challenge was to camoflauge the scars so I was surprised at the tiny sparse look of the tattoos.
Joshua was such a cry baby in this season. His client had barely any scar, he avoided it almost entirely and still expected to win even though he didn’t really do the challenge. Yikes.
I mean, by that logic if Joshua didn't pick her than whoever got that canvas could never have won the challenge just because she had a small scar; which is unfair. She was included in the roster along with every other canvas here, so I don't see why she should be treated any differently than the rest by the Judges.
@@Intrepid_Explorer they also just judged based on creativity and skill, obviously they wouldn’t choose a simple canvas just to make someone lose, they aren’t judging the canvas they’re judging the art, so someone else could have won with that canvas, he was whining when he got the easy choice
@@jaded6064 The reason that he 'got the easy choice' was because he earned it though; he had previously won best tattoo of the day and thus was given the advantage of being allowed to choose his own canvas (actually a smaller advantage than usual, as it would become the norm that winners could choose everyone else's canvases as well). So again; why should Joshua be penalized for being rewarded to be allowed to pick his own canvas?

The four guys with the Breast challenge should all have gone to the final. All the Tattoos were soft, yet strong, fit the lady and her body, and most important respectful. BRAVO gentlemen.

I definitely understand why Sausage won the breast cancer challenge (both breasts beutifully covered), but from an aesthetic point I preferred both Halo & Matti's pieces.
To be fair. Every tattoo was amazing
The whole point of it was that it all depended on if the canvases were happy with their tattoos. They said it at the start.
Nah, most of them were actually excellent
What
I don't think it mattered anyway because they were all so amazing to begin with.
Those mastectomy tattoos were all drop dead gorgeous. If I had to pick a favourite, it would either bei Halo's beautifully crafted and placed flowers or Scott's magical little butterflies with the Dandelion. But they all did a wonderful job (and so did those women, sitting like rocks on for six hours while having those tender spots tattooed!).
To be honest, he did a great job in terms of making his client happy and giving her exactly what she wanted.
@@Intrepid_Explorer the whole point is to challenge yourself and show you can do anything, not pick the easiest option and whine when you don’t win, the judges have said before that winners don’t take the easy way out
@@Intrepid_Explorer he literally drew a flower!
Like if you got an easy canvas as an advantage atleast make a creative tattoo lol.
And then he goes about why he didn't win lol
Matty’s tattoo got me tearing up when the canvas was so happy. He really changed her life.
That lady came back to him to do the other side
I love how seriously they take scar cover-ups. Not that they don't take other tattoos seriously, just that commitment to really make a difference in these people's lives is wonderful to see.
I really hate when they give critiques in front of the canvases like that’s so rude
The four guys with the Breast challenge should all have gone to the final. All the Tattoos were soft, yet strong, fit the lady and her body, and most important respectful.
BRAVO gentlemen.
I feel like whenever they judge the tattoo in front of the canvases they are nicer. The tattoo of the dog over the dog bite scar was very dark and didn’t make sense with the fire or spit or whatever coming out of its mouth. They would have ripped the tattoo apart if the canvas wasn’t there in my opinion.
oh most definitely they’re always nicer when the canvas is standing right there with them, even if the tattoo isn’t good they’ll still find something nice to say but yeah you can tell in this video on a few tattoos they definitely would of ripped them if the canvas wasn’t there
I think its for the best though
@@noble554 it definitely is because like imagine getting a tattoo on ink master and loving it but then dave, oliver, and chris just rip the shit and point everything wrong with it right in front of you
@@marzallen6762 yea that would suck
I thought it looked like shit tbh
The breast cancer survivors were all so sweet I can’t 🥺
bro if i was a tattoo artist and someone cried with happiness at my work i would be BAWLING
I still love Halo's tattoo over Sausage's tattoo. It has so many different elements that just really made it stand out as a feminine tattoo. It wasn't just a big flower but rather a scene.
I definitely understand why Sausage won the breast cancer challenge (both breasts beutifully covered), but from an aesthetic point I preferred both Halo & Matti's pieces. Scott gave his client what she wanted but he provided fewer skills to critique bc he didn't do a cover up or really incorporate the scars imo.
They could've kept their facial expressions to themselves with the first set of canvases. They looked like they were disgusted.
I think a lot of it is editing. They arrange the video clips over the audio to make it look more dramatic.
Yea, even when they revealed the challenge some of their attitudes sucked
I think they might’ve asked them to look shocked, annoyed etc and then put that footage in where they want :) I could be completely wrong though :/
@@PuddingCat101 They do that a lot. They also make contestants stand there without anything happening to make them irritable, so the editors can add in those scenes to push a narrative.
@@Liberalshinigami that might explain why almost everyone is always shaking their head or rolling their eyes when someone gets good comments on their tattoo
I know a lot of people have asked for it before, but I’d love to see an episode them trying to cover up self harm scars. I know Dave Navarro is a huge mental health advocate, and I’d love to see them talk more about an issue like this. I’ve had some of my worst scars covered up recently, and I’d love to see other artists try and do it.
Omg yes please
Is this one related to your other post,
Or is it just a similar topic?
Either way I think it's a good idea.
I love that idea a lot. I wish the scars were more common of a challenge/skull pick on the show
Lol did he really do a dog biting the man's leg over the scar where a dog bit the man's leg? Pretty cool man
Right? I want to get a realistic wasp where I was stung on my wrist the one and only time. It left a mark
I've been watching all of these because I got bored now I'm hooked

They put two seasons of it on Netflix
I loved that all of the breast cancer survivors seemed so happy with their tattoos. I know that this show is mostly about the quality of the tattoo, but the fact that they all liked their tattoos really made me smile. ❤️
I also liked how the judges were not nitpicky with this. They tend to be a lot more optimistic when it comes to certain topics, like breast cancer survivors or artists who just joined the season. They don't want anyone to feel bad in those situations and it's quite nice how thoughtful it is.
I have over 20 scars from a heart transplant and cancer. Even tho I wouldn’t cover them up, I loved seeing how happy these women, who beat breast, were getting theirs! It’s an unbelievable feeling when you hear you successfully fought against such a dangerous illness!
I love my scars.
Agreed, I have some seriously nasty looking and sized scars from a few score of surgeries that have been constantly opened stem to stern, front and back. I wouldn't get them covered. I honestly don't think they COULD be covered at this point. Did toy with a phoenix Idea down the side of my body with each feather/flame representing each surgery so it could be added to as I had operations, but it would have been MASSIVE and really expensive.
“No I did chemo, I can do this” AMAZING STATEMENT RIGHT THERE! LITERALLY SO EMPOWERING!! Whenever you feel like you can’t do something remember that quote!
The thing that impresses me most is Dave’s ability to remember all the names and stories of each canvas every time. I can’t even remember what I had for dinner yesterday
Was so beautiful what Mattie did for his canvas I love the fact she went back and got the other side done by him all of the artists did amazing for all the scars the canvas wanted covered up I love the meaningful episodes on ink master
Halo’s tattoo was beautiful but Sausage got the edge solely because he was able to make two asymmetrical tattoos flow together nicely on the canvas
All these people getting cover-ups have a lot of courage and gave me the push I needed to feel confident about getting my cover-up tattoo done soon. 😊
Same here!
Awesome! I just got some of my scars covered up as well, and it’s definitely one of my favorite tattoos!
God bless those 4 women. All of them looked beautiful before and after
Impaled, stabbed... A mole 😑
A mole could be cancerous
One word: cancer 😑
@Mikayla Kray thats not quite true mostly removed when they have the possibilty yo become cancer
Im going to be honest, mole removal isn’t bad at all. Assuming she had anesthesia she wouldn’t have felt anything more than tugging on her shoulder, kind of feels like poking at fat on steak.
@@crackgoat9780 it might still be tramatic for her. Just because it small doesn't make a difference.
"I feel like a war went on on my chest." Damn, nothing short of a warrior.
If you're a women get your boyfriend or mum to check for lumps.
Props for the artists. Beeing so close to traumatic scars, talking and looking at them at such profesional tendency, to make sure theire "clients" are stil as confortable as posible in the situation
I laughed so hard at the beginning...
"IMPALED, STABBED, BURNED, CAR CRASH... and a mole"
The whole entirety of the breast cancer tattoos had me tearing up -- So glad they got something beautiful to remember their fight
The guy with the tracheotomy hole loves his tattoo. THAT'S what matters. It doesn't matter if other professionals think it's good or not.
Yeah,
I personally thought it was really cool,
And made him look much more approachable.
I do Love it, very muc. has made my life way easier!
How gentle the judges were with judging the first set I just have to say that they handled it super well. Not putting the artists down in front of the traumatized canvases? That’s classy, tbh.
Man my mom going through breast cancer right now. And seeing those women get something back I hope my mom can get it back when she gets through all this.
Good luck to you and your mom. If i was a prayer i’d be praying for her right now. Hopefully she’ll get that wicked tattoo soon❤️
These episodes really make you appreciate how much tattoo artists can do for people
Hiding scars and past bad choices that a person has grown from
"This guy was stabbed, this guy was impaled, this chick was in a motorcycle accident, this chick had a mole removed"
One of these doesn't seem like the others
moles can be benign forms of skin cancer or the beginning of a malignant tumor so you actually have to be really careful with them since they can go for so long without being noticed or worried about
@@whitemoonwolf13 whats your point? The challenge was to cover up scars so the artist who got her got off easy compared to everyone else. Doesnt take the same level of skill or creativity.
@@bigmoneygrubber i guess my point was to inform you that yes it might not sound as impressive as getting impaled but there could have been a reason that was just as traumatic. you seemed to have been down playing her scar by saying it wasn't as important as the others is all

I'm stuck on "a bed collapsed on him." I'm sorry WHAT? Does anyone have more details or am I just supposed to be terrified of sleeping in my own bed
It’s most likely a bunk bed and the top fell, OR a platform bed that wasn’t built well
To be impaled like that you'd have to have the bed break first then fall on you,
So the logical conclusion is someone else falling through a bunk bed with him sleeping below them.
Attack of the bunk beds man
I sleep in the bottom bunk bed and I sometimes think that’ll happen to me. (Very unlikely though.)
Poor guy.
when Matty asked "pretty?" and she started to tear up 🥰 I love that moment right there
That breast cancer one made me tear upppp omg their reactions are beautiful.
I won’t lie, I personally think Craig’s Dog isn’t that good, the fire thing doesn’t look that good, but I’m not a professional so my opinions don’t matter
The idea was good. But the dog is ugly
Terrible
The symbolism was worth way more, and honestly better than some of the other tattoos in this show
they are definitely a lot nicer to the tattoos when the canvas is there, and when they have a meaning
I Hope it looks nicer when tattoo heals tones could go lighter but that guy looks like he is happy to tattoo
Tbh challegenges like these if I won the flash challenge I wouldn't try to throw anyone under the bus. This is one of the few challenges where everyone deserves a strong proper tattoos

I’m sorry but how does putting a tattoo beside a scar of the guy that got impaled by a bed count as a cover up?
It covered one of his scars but if you were to cover all of them it would have to go all over his entire stomach which would not be achievable in the allowed time
To many scars to be worked with so little time. Had to choose one
It would be interesting to see them doing selfharm scars, I personally would never get mine covered as I've got major nerve damage and they're just too big, but I know a lot of people want theirs covered
I agree. However I think they should put a trigger warning before the episodes start if they do it.

This concept of covering scars or making them look cooler Should Be a Series on it's own super interesting
Anyone else notice that when the judges were walking around commenting on the tattoos the contestants had just done, they seemed really complimentary of their work instead of like, condescending? I think maybe Bc it was for people with scars and they wanted to encourage them that they had been covered well. They wanted to be encouraging to the canvases. Also I think the tattoos were good, but I mean, the judges always seem so down on everyone. But not this time
A large part of the judges harsh attitude is theatrics,
In this case they would've gotten in a lot of trouble if they didn't dial it back a bit.
i remember watching the breast cancer one on tv when i was little, i LOVED the dandelion one and actually started TEARING UP because of how beautiful it was ♡
