He should've remained calm and asked him if he's denying that he doesn't inflict additional pain on his clients if he doesn't like them. Use the words client and not canvas because that's more humanising. He should've kept pressing him in and saying keeping skin damage aside, do you really inflict more pain? Just do that.
Did this dude just say Tatu Baby shouldn't have her face tattooed because it might make young girls want to do it?? Since when is Tatu Baby responsible for the life choices of strangers who happen to see that her face is tattooed? She is responsible for herself and her life and her body, and she shouldn't have to tiptoe around not being herself just to be a "role model" for some strangers who might maybe also get their faces tattooed if they see her. It's all about ethical business practices. If you have respect for your art, you want people to have a good experience with your art too. If you are unethical in your practices, i.e. purposefully causing more pain than necessary, then people won't have a good experience, with the plus that it's also unethical and immoral. Ethics is incredibly important in tattooing so to have honour in that respect speaks volumes about his business and ethics. It will only be a plus to that man's customer base, while Sebastian will lose clients because of his attitude.

12:43 I'm not trying to take sides but asking about someone's integrity then telling them it doesn't matter what your canvas thinks, it matters what the judges think does not line up.
Exactly. The attack on Boneface was always so odd. So he can't/doesn't draw but he consistently executes technically superior tattoos. The man literally tattoos to take care of his family including 9 brothers and sisters. Learning to tattoo well, to please the client was better for his circumstances than artistic expression.
@@thandekapercival5636 Tattooing is artistic by nature. The reason he learnt tattooing is irrelevant, they’re there to determine who is the best tattooer. If you asked someone would you rather have a beautiful piece of art with some flaws or an ugly smug that’s technically perfect, most people would prefer the art.

It's a gesture... Like, I won't back down from you or you don't scare me. It's kind of obvious to me, but I'm a guy. We don't know why, but it just is.
@@ewan80 1. because they don't know how to fight (use their body strength for striking). fight me and you'll see, I won't touch a single one of your pretty hairs, but your face will be rearranged nicely. 2. to protect each other from creeps at the party/bar/whatever place they are at. walking alone to the bathroom can feel like a walk through a minefield sometimes. also, to talk alone at the bathroom, between girls, when you're there alone (about anything really, but maybe about the person you're with). 3. anecdotes. not an universal rule by any means. but my guess would be that shyness is a product of being overwhelmed in an environment with too many people around you, while, being in a bedroom, you're with only one person that you (supposedly) trust and like enough to be naked in front of, you can be more like yourself without fear of judgement like you would be in an environment with others around you. why would you want, or expect, a girl to be shy while she's fucking you, is beyond me. if for some reason she is, that's a bad sign, isn't it? not everything is such a mystery in life, when you take the time to think about it for more than five seconds.

I mean, in this competition, it kind of is. They have clear challenges, they know what the judge is looking for. We've seen it numerous times before where canvases try to bring a design that completely fails the challenge. In a normal shop, it's absolutely about what the client wants, to an extent. But this isn't a normal shop and the canvases knew what they were signing up for when they went on Ink Master.
1:58 So we're not going to talk about how the edit here is eerily like the girl from "The Ring" movie? I seriously got chills when she stood up so slowly.
Dude seriously snitched on someone for using references which EVERY tattoo artist does. It's so common to grab images off of Google images and then make a composition out of them. Work smarter, not harder.
That dude is the type of artist that thinks looking images for reference is literally tracing and unfair. Like what. Do you really expect me to draw a whole fucking person doing a complex pose out of my memory? Those type of people are nuts.
I mean it definitely adds more value to the artist if they can come up with something out of memory than “referencing” I mean your taking a different work of art and making it yours with a “spin” and somebody with just a thought of it makes the art. But I mean regardless, the show definitely values the artist who takes the easiest route than the better artist.

Jesus.
Thank you!!! I'm glad someone else called out that BS
It’s like saying “don’t drink or smoke, or you’ll push teenagers into a life of addiction”
It’s a joke, people are going to do what they want regardless of who did it before them.
It's the most stupid argument I have heard like should I take all my freaking decisions based on how the kids that are not even my kids!!! May get influenced in my choices... And after that he tries to save himself with I'm not judging her when he literally did it and then say it's just my opinion 🤦🏻♀️ that guy is just so annoying how can someone be a tattoo artist and think someone is fvcking their life for getting a tattoo wherever they want!
exactly. it’s not their job to be role models for teens
right! So her having a face tattoo herself is like her basically telling a bunch of kids to do it? Nah she’s a grown women who made her own decision on her own body, just because she has it doesn’t mean she’s promoting it to people in different situations
I have mad respect for the man who was caught on the honor of tattooing.
Intentionally hurting someone when they’ve put themselves in your care, difficult or not, sounds sadistic.
when jason defended tatu baby and called him out that made me so happy

Sebastian is actually one of the most insufferable people to ever go on the show. Dude shamelessly mutilated that poor lady's back in the finale after doing nothing but mediocre work for the whole season. I can't believe he even made it to the finale at all.
Tatu Baby should’ve been there with Steve and Sara. I'm not trying to take sides but asking about someone's integrity then telling them it doesn't matter what your canvas thinks, it matters what the judges think does not line up.
Exactly. Like why would she even say that😐
Tattoo is a form of art, so you can’t be the best tattooer if you can’t produce good art.
If you asked someone would you rather have a beautiful piece of art with some flaws or an ugly smug that’s technically perfect, most people would prefer the art.
Right. The judges aren't wearing it the canvases are. Make something the camvas wants tgat fits the criteria and let the judges judge the skill.

Let me ask you this, why do girls start pulling hair instead of fighting their (female) opponent? Why do girls go to bathroom in groups? Why do shy girls turn into demons in the bedroom?
We don't know why, but it just is.
@@ewan80 spittin facts
@@ewan80 1. because they don't know how to fight (use their body strength for striking). fight me and you'll see, I won't touch a single one of your pretty hairs, but your face will be rearranged nicely.
2. to protect each other from creeps at the party/bar/whatever place they are at. walking alone to the bathroom can feel like a walk through a minefield sometimes. also, to talk alone at the bathroom, between girls, when you're there alone (about anything really, but maybe about the person you're with).
3. anecdotes. not an universal rule by any means. but my guess would be that shyness is a product of being overwhelmed in an environment with too many people around you, while, being in a bedroom, you're with only one person that you (supposedly) trust and like enough to be naked in front of, you can be more like yourself without fear of judgement like you would be in an environment with others around you. why would you want, or expect, a girl to be shy while she's fucking you, is beyond me. if for some reason she is, that's a bad sign, isn't it?

When she said it’s not about what the client wants I got lost. That’s what it’s actually all about.
Im pretty sure they meant on this show. The clients are getting a free tattoo and know that the artists have challenges they need to meet.
The look on everyone else’s face when the guy suggests intentionally hurting his annoying clients was absolutely priceless

Dude seriously snitched on someone for using references which EVERY tattoo artist does. It's so common to grab images off of Google images and then make a composition out of them. Work smarter, not harder.
Yeah I was like it was referenced not traced...
