Albion Street Signal Box Castleford

The old signal box of Albion Street, Castleford has recently been demolished this week. The disuse signal box near the level crossing was showing its age. Cracks started appearing on the building and a possibility it would fall apart. For me, I find it sad because from the start and early days of making UA-cam video's up to no. It was one of the first places to go, head towards the footbridge and captured The Scarborough SPA Express of steam locomotives pulling the charter. As time goes on, I've seen and recorded a lot different of trains going by on that part of railway through the years, including Covid-19 lockdowns. Then, I went to the level crossing to capture more fantastic videos. The signal box was a great feature in the background when taking a shot on the footbridge or near at he level crossing. I've met and made a few friends who enjoys railway photography or videos around the area. This video shows what I captured through the years with the disuse Signa box and remembering the old signal box. Hope you enjoy this video and thanks for watching.
