I love how his references to cocaine have changed over time. He used to just make vague jokes based on common knowledge giving himself plausible deniability, but now as he has less fucks to give, it's just straight up admission.
Simon's explanation at the beginning of how people are gonna come to this channel and think, oh business education and be like oh this is not what I wanted this sucks. Is the exact opposite situation I found myself in. I had heard him talk about this channel on a different one and I was like nah not for me, but after watching one I love it and it was not what I expected.

I had heard of it. Mainly through Resident Evil 2 where one of the items was a minidisk which was very fascinating to me at the time. I never saw one IRL though. Also, Rob Zombie didn't release the "Hellbilly Deluxe" album on Mini-disk so what the fuck was the point of them existing?

I heard that the US military was using Google Glass-like technology to train motor mechanics by having the manual in one eye while the other was looking at the actual motor. Minidiscs actually were really popular and well used in the theatres and entertainment venues, due to their ability to easily select tracks, label them, skip and search and their easy portability and protection for damage. Also as being very easy to record to and the high quality of the audio on them. They only recently, within the past couple of years have been phased out with solid state devices and pc applications instead.
Having worked on the design and build of hundreds of entertainment venues, recording studios etc. Pretty much every audio project had at least one minidisc player included on the project. It often got questioned in the later days especially in education establishments as believed to be a dead format, however once shown the capabilities of these over cdr's and other available technology this was soon dismissed.
They were a great format, just badly introduced at the original launch as a domestic product.

B) TNG looks better than VOY because they shot TNG on film and thus had high-quality prints they could remaster.
C) Yeah, minidiscs weren't much of a thing in the US. I only met one person who had a minidisc player, and initially I thought it was a Rio Volt (one of the first MP3 players).
D) Yeah, we called it the Genesis. I always thought it sounded cooler than "Mega Drive", but then again, I was always on the Nintendo side of the console wars.

I'm Canadian, I'm sure a buddy of mine had a minidisk player in the early 2000's
I'm Aussie and one of my mates had one in 01 to 02 but he barely used it lol. Ended up with a CD player in his car and the MD collected dust. I had a tape deck in my car and I had a portable Sony CD player which was called a Discman in Aus playing though an adaptor in the tape deck.
