  • So I received a message from a subscriber asking me to elaborate on how to throw multiple body kicks effectively. This can be pretty tricky without the proper technique and balance, especially for beginners. Key points to remember:
    1. Make sure you know how to properly throw a single body kick first!
    2. Stay on the balls of your feet the whole time, never flat footed!
    3. Bounce your shin off of your target right back into your stance.
    4. Use the ground as a spring board to quickly throw your next kick!

This kick is hard to get down, but I won't stop trying.

Good Point, see so many MMA guys come to Muay Thai and concentrate on trying to kick hard, but far too slow, predictable and easy to catch kicks, needs to be sharp, fast and accurate, otherwise you are getting caught and dumped.

Whats up man? If your ultimate goal is to compete in MMA I'd say go with the MMA gym. You will definitely need a variety of different tools that Muay Thai/Muay Boran won't teach you. I actually started off doing MMA myself but fell so in love with striking that I just chose to focus on that. Good Luck!

I have clinching videos on my list. Just trying to find the time to get to them. But they are definitely on the way. Stay tuned! Thanks for your support!

Great vids man, question though, how to you keep track of your dietary plan? Like your calorie count and daily protein intake?
I've been taking kickboxing for about 6 months (started a week before my 19th bday) and at the start I weighed 250 lbs and stood 6'7". Now after 6 months I weigh 206 lbs and am starting to try and eat what my body needs but I find it a bit too much of a big task. Am I being lazy or will I get used to it? Specifically my calorie count, I got the protein intake down :)

Brother i got a dilema. Should i start training at a gym where they teach muay thai, bjj, boxing etc or should i start at the imternational muay boran academy and later on learn other disciplines. The gym has great teachers so as the IMBA

if a person has no access to a heavy bag but have access to muay thai pads when kicking pads can it condition your shin and make your kick harder?
