nice vid, i'll be trying the punch left kick combo in training this week.
however, I do prefer to not skip into the left kick but let my hips provide the power. especially when it's to the inside of the leg. although that could be down to me being too old and over the hill to do it properly..
Thank you!
Very good 👍
Cool thakns for the tips
+Matt Brooks You are more than welcome, I am glad you enjoyed the tutorial. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Pretty Boy Ageed! Panicos has great technique, very clean and effortless!
AWESOME PANICOS :)
Sandy Holt Thanks Sandy, it is a great tutorial from Panicos!! Hope you are well!!
thanks
Thanks really enjoyed! So is it wrong to lift your leg up a bit more, for more power?
also good to practice a skip instead of a full stance switch before you throw the kick. can get it off faster
This ive commented before asking if your of the instructors could demonstrate a pendulum kick variation. say throwing a lead right where your right root follows forward, switching the stance & sets up the left kick without the need or the skip
Peter Scott I will definitely mention your request to the next coach I film with. I agree completely, different entries into the roundhouse kick should be practised! No step, full step, switching etc are all great when used in the right context! Thanks for commenting!
Thank you i wil show to my people ;)
Галин Димов You are welcome, glad you enjoyed it enough to share!
My fav is switch kick. Usually when my opponent tries to catch my leg I’ll switch Superman. Works pretty well for me.
The Joker when used properly it’s effective. Hence why it’s a technique. Faint low go high.
You know that way you said NOT to do the switch kick? Well that's exactly what mine looks like. LOL (Except I don't go quite that high in the air. lol After all, I'm a professional.)
Can't wait to make mine look more like yours. You are sooo smooth, and fast. Wow! I'd def. like more vids from you.
(Oh, that's right, these comments don't go to HIM, but to this CHANNEL. Well, the sentiment's the same. Thanks Stuart!!!!)
+Christopher Hinton Ha ha, Panicos sets the bar high for us all!! He is definitely one of my favourite people full stop!! I will make sure to let him know your great comments. As for mine, you are more than welcome, I am glad you enjoyed the video, there are an absolute load of amazing ones on this channel. I should know ha ha, I filmed them all!!
How do you slide when it's hot you are dripping sweat and feet are sticking to the matt?
although this way produce more power to the kick as you say in the video its very obvious, so i prefer to land the left kick without the skip, it might be less powerful but its instant and dificult for the oponent to see the kick.
I always compared the switch for the lead kick to the ali shuffle
เตะสวยครับ
Thanks
+Christopher Cole You are more than welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
+Stuart Tomlinson What about if the defender teeps?
Could that lean back work on an orthodox's round kick vs an orthodox? Cause it feels awkward when i leave my lead hand up and swing down my rear hand to do a lean back.
Panicos 👍
xNOFEARx58 Panicos is an excellent Nak Muay, love to watch him in action!!
xNOFEARx58 excellent!!!!
do more videos
How to Use Left leg to Kick?,My left kick is very bad than the right
-all muathai fighter like buakaw or saenchai and also me our left leg are most powerful and devastating And if you want to good your left just kick them what ever you want !!!
orayt!
The Warrior Collective is the Sheeeeiiiit, brah....!!!.....
It's the shit ( shite, yeah...), alrigh' mate....(?!!).....
Yeah..... I thought so...
It's super great that you do this and that you dealt with the leg getting caught.
On the other hand while you don't know if your opponent will block successfully every martial art has a cross Parry, and some are pretty good at it.
I'm sure that works for some but I could defend that and so on after that.
I feel not edified by the lack of actual options with the body kick if caught.
I know it's untrue bit when going up against round Thai kicks i just mentally prepare to be a psycho glutton for Pain, I don't think there is any real injury to even avoid just weakness leaving the body in bruising and pain so what.
Honestly in real actual fights growing up yes you can check them. I think I just decided stop checking them.
But to be fair sometimes I decide to eat punches too. Sounds dumb but whatever. I'm great at blocking now. But I don't mind deciding to take damage if I don't think it will kill me.
I won't take repeated unexpected punches but sometimes I'll just eat kicks and just be like well, ok well.
Those were fights I won on the ground but there are other ways.
I'm not impressed with it I see people wince I remember wincing and eventually giving in. I literally don't care. Kick away. I won't react. I decide to hurt sometimes to trade.
When I have gotten in mutual fights I no longer do that now I fight tactically only, I always noticed punches to the face I can't feel them at all.
But those Thai kicks I can still feel.
So what?
There's no injury.
Kick away.
I'm not saying don't check them but I have really taken advantage of people during low kicks and round kicks (other than head) because there is no injury to avoid in my opinion, just pain to ignore.
What happen to your old switch kick tutorial- where one you can take a step back and do a switch kick - smaller studio with glasses! I like that!
I am actually not sure to which one you are referring, was it one on the Warrior Collective channel?
It's an old video tutorial about two years ago but fortunately, I remember it all- how you can do thes witch kick differently!
Do you know if there is a reason why buakaw does the switch step the other way? the way where he telegraphs his movement?
The only thing I can think of is that he may do it because he wants his opponents to know he's going to do a switch kick so he can manipulate their actions.
kenpachi zaraki Hey, thanks for watching and posing an interesting question. In my opinion, Buakaw is such an elite level fighter with the use of a multitude of weapons, he is able to hit from angles/places that other fighters sometimes don't even attempt to. The movement you mentioned is as you say, a way to feint/bluff/set up the opponent for a variety of shots, as in the idea behind this tutorial from Panicos!
Stuart Tomlinson
thanks for explaining. I've been mostly following the stuff you demonstrate on this channel. They seem to be more in depth and advance for my preference.
kenpachi zaraki You are welcome, I am just glad you are finding the channel of use!! Let me know if there is anything I can help with at any point!!
very often when I put in a switch kick when sparring my trainer gets in with a push kick before I can connect, and I go flying. OK, so that means I have to get quicker and lose any tells that I have (like glancing briefly down, argh), but in the meantime, are there any tips on how I can get that switch in while countering/avoiding the push?
+Fighting Frog pull the switch without throwing the kick ( baiting him to teep you), quickly counter his teep by deflecting/redirecting it (you have to be ready imediately after the switch step), and counter with your rear leg kick to his leg that had just landed and has all of his weight on it, or launch to the body.... that's 1 way. What's most important is that you sell the switch step as if you were going for the left swich kick.
+WarriorPhilosopher
Thanks! Am trying this now, plus some other tips I've had from folks... so far not a lot of luck as my trainer is really really fast with his teeps (and uses them a lot)... but I'm getting there, I very nearly caught one at the weekend. I shall continue to persevere.
TheSludgeMan Hey that was awesome, good comment thanks!
Thanks, SludgeMan, that's really good and clear! I will try and use your suggestions. I especially like the stepping back and switching, although I can see me using it more when he holds his guard. Good one!
I was getting my left kick caught a lot in sparring the other day. And although the last tip was helpful, I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a video that shows how to break free once you're caught. Thanks,
Try faking a left kick and jab the face with your left.
I do hi kicks to much. How could I get my body kicks more powerful
Utilise your hip, penetrate step and faster rotation will often all help achieve stronger body kicks
one of my favorite moves is fake the teep and midway turn it into a side kick to the body jst make the fucker blink and react wrong and punish him
Is correct to stand on the ball of the feet when you kick?
I mean, i'm more of a karate guy, and doesn't know much about muay thai. But as far as I know, for some reason, that's not allowed in our art.
Nice moves and training anyway (:
Yes, it is correct in virtually all schools. Some schools don't emphasize standing on the ball of your feet, though.
yenner Great reply, thanks for commenting!
Twisted Transistor As you have already guessed, different styles encourage different footwork, stances and movement. Most Muay Thai schools do favour standing on the ball of your feet when you kick. Glad you enjoyed watching!
Stuart Tomlinson Oh interesting. It's very good to know. Thank you for working in this! :)
yenner I see, thank for your reply!
2:37 "I punch, and then I throw the left body kick" ( to his head lol )
ok.
ok
SO HOW'D YOU INCREASE THE SPEED OF KICK ?
+Burak Akça Practice, work on technique, speed will come.
Thank you , and how can i get used to kicks to the leg ?
+Burak Akça Bone to bone or?
If you get hit with low kick on your front leg quad try switching your weight to that leg. It will hurt much less and you get a chance to counter low kick with your back straight jab or hook.
dont u think a rear leg turning kick is obvious anyway its so much faster from the front
+Robert Boyland i guess less power
+Robert Boyland I guess it all boils down to context and having variety in your attack. Both lead and rear have their place. Glad you enjoyed watching it though!
What if he teeps off?
I am not sure I understand what you are asking, what do you mean?
very usfull
For sure, Panicos has excellent details in all his coaching!
Mmmm...me a kick....left body kick, okay...mmmmm ....
Great video
Great video
