Sure, they'll insure your doctor's prescribed drug as long as you participate in the medical insurance company's traveling Hoops and Hurdle Show as a participant. Their goal is to not actually pay for your prescription drug. Reminds of law enforcement's roadside sobriety tests where they can always find a reason for you failing the test. The best course of action is not to agree to their test in the first place. Whatever you do can and will be used against you to reach their goal of not paying for your medication.

Well well, what are they going to do next. If you have been on these drugs for a year or more. You are now at your target weight. You will be in a maintenance phase maybe taking a lower dose and stretched out. Most on maintenance have been experimenting and finding the right rhythm. So are they gonna say since your under the BMI, no maintenance dose anymore? Are they gonna say you have to take a cheaper different drug like metformin. Are they gonna pay for the scale, the dietician visits, the CGM’s and other requirements.
I’m in maintenance and this is my exact question. According to Illinois cvs Caremark, I will need to participate in their weight management program (app, dietician, scale). And show “engagement” “progress”…. I’m not sure what that means for a person in maintenance.
@@SueUTube exactly. I’ve had three PAs already and have been on wegovy for more than a year. But now I have to prove myself with this app and scale?! It’s to drop people off these meds for sure. I’m just trying to keep building my stockpile for the inevitable.

@@ManOnTheMounjaro absolutely 💯 there's rules for such. I mean if that's the case why would we need fda approval right. Pbm obviously are trying to set their own rules. This is foolery and beyond insane.
CVS Caremark is doing some shady stuff too in Illinois. I’ll send you my full letter when I get it in July. Basically they will drop coverage of GLP1s if you don’t participate in their app, have mtgs with their dieticians monthly, and weigh in regularly on their connected scale. They may also require a connected blood pressure cuff or CGM depending on your issues. And I still don’t have a straight answer from them about maintenance and if their coverage of maintenance dosing is changing.
Is there any way to get mounjaro covered instead of Zepbound covered? I’ve got plenty of comorbid factors they’re all under control now due to being on this medication but if I’m on mounjaro then maybe I won’t be at risk for losing coverage.
Mounjaro is 100% about type-2 diabetes. Do you have A1C value(s) from a doctor that is 6.5 or above in your medical history? The rule is that once a diabetic, you are always a diabetic. Diabetes can only be sent into remission.

How do pharmacies have the ability to set guidelines for medical treatment?

Guessing FDA can't intervene at all right. This is madness.
It’s insanity, my friend. Seems like it should be illegal.

Do you think they are just trying to force their hand with the drug manufacturers to lower their costs?
@@Sandusko no they are trying to get out of paying for it themselves.
