I find synth music relaxing and takes away feeling stressed When someone is playing a synth It shows there expressions if there feelings I think the synth is absolutely a fantastic instrument. Which seems to get better and better as it evolves over the years. Since it’s invention. Long live the synth👍.🇬🇧.
I received a Korg Monologue for Christmas about 2 years ago and I'm still trying to learn it. I definitely want the Minilogue as well. I've been a guitar and bass player for years ,then I bought an electric piano when I was 32 years old and started taking piano lessons at my local university. I've studied it on and off ever since. I'm now 63 years old and I have had the desire to learn synthesis ever since. The Monologue is an awesome instrument and so is the Minilogue, I can't wait to get one.
This much instrument for a price that is almost a toy is amazing. The great thing about a 4 voice poly is it can do monophonic too but much more versatile. Just about anyone can explore synths today with high quality instruments for the price of a phone. This video proves how wonderful music can be made on a "toy" price.

Hey! Cool to hear that you are getting into synths! I don't recall exactly but I think I made these patches myself. They are not very complex but the effects used make them shine. I mainly use Valhalla Shimmer and Soundtoys Crystallizer. I believe the XD has a pretty good shimmer reverb.
this is every bit as good as Brian Eno or tangerine dream. if there's any music that speaks to my sole this would be it. i have a micro freak, kaossilator but do not have what it takes to learn them properly.(i have other distractions lol) i can drift away with my theremin and straymon nightsky but nothing to compare to the sounds you produce.

This is fantastic! With a drum machine you could very easily create retrowave jams! I’m very much considering this or the monologue!
