Afternoon Sam! Hope you are well and keeping warm? Thanks for the informative video. The guys I bought the van off have removed the bulk of the headliner, tad bigger space but not well insulated, so I will redesigning the shelf, currently wooden cladding and adding more insulation and carpet liner. I've tried stopping the video to pick up the brand of foam deadening you have used, could I ask the make please. Look forward to seeing you in 2023, our first meet is the Dubbed out at Rotherham.
This is a link to the product I used slightly cheaper than dodo matting but just as good www.ebay.co.uk/itm/353456448278?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6rxbwhgzsbi&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=qkhVtACcQ9q&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Good video, thank you... One question from the bit that got corrupted.... How did you work out the shape of the ply for the shelf? Did you do it before you removed the headlining or after? If you did it after removing the headlining, how did you make sure the headlining didn't change shape?
Before removing the panel I took measurements and made a cardboard template when I was happy with the template I removed the panel to fit the shelf once fitted I checked the measurements where the same Then carpet trimmed the underside 👍
Hi Sam Many thanks for sharing all your videos/uploads. I'm in the process of converting our Van all be it a Sprinter. Can you tell me the hinges you used on the overhead locker door ad I can see it's a flush door not overlapping... I'm a bit stuck on the hinges to use.. Many thanks Andrew 👍🏼
@@TheCraftyBlindersvanlife Thanks for the fast reply Sam. I can't find the parts list but will wait until my grandson pops round he will show me where to look..!!!.. 🧔🏻👍🏾

Hi Sam, what thickness plywood did you use for the shelf? Cheers.
It's 9mm I found 6mm was to light not enough strength and 12mm was to heavey and more than we actually needed
Mate...Where's the tutorial? 🤣
Just pictures of finished products
20 minutes long as well..!!!
