Out of the hundreds of videos I've watched of van builds this is the only one that is literal perfection. I'll be watching this video at least a thousand times while working on my own lol.
This guy has to be a Master Carpenter. 95% of people could not do this conversion to the quality he has the ability to perform. AND mucho respect for Mom with her baby on her back whiel still contributing tons to this build.
Notice how none of these videos are ever from a poor person trying to build something to actually survive in because rent is too high and they can't afford a home or anything else anymore.
There is no way you could buy a conversion built by ANY manufacturer to compare with this. I am picking up my new Sprinter 4x4 tomorrow, and am going go do a conversion. Your video has convinced me NOT to do it, but rather to just keep mine simple. I could never imagine producing something as awesome as yours. And then to have your family together doing it...insanely admirable to say the least. It is not the quality of the van built, it is the quality of the family you are building.
Wow! 6 months in 30 minutes. Impressive. and it looks very functional and cozy. I like how you built the shower away from the bed and hid the toilet so it can be accessed from the shower. It looks fabulous! nice work. I wish you wonderful adventures in 2024! Bob
@@TimKatie My pleasure. I'm thinking of getting a Transit in 3 years when I retire although I don't have "any" skills in building I may usr some of your ideas if that's okay with you.
Thank you very much for sharing this incredible build video. Obviously building a van is a ton of work. Documenting/videoing/editing the process adds to the workload. Your efforts are appreciated.
We had a Ford Transit camper -UK version- many years ago(about 1975) with a dining set/convertible to double bed, over-the-cab-bed for our boys & a cupboard with toilet, and of course a kitchen - about 5ft of cupboards with sink. It had none of the special built in electrics & plumbing of your beautiful version, but to be honest we seemed to have all we needed for our generally 3 or 4 day stays in the mountains/empty beach spot in North Wales. We parked the camper right above the long empty beach ! A wonderful way to go on vacation IMO ! Enjoy your gorgeous creation, it is one of a kind. I particularly loved your shower/toilet arrangement - there is nothing quite so wonderful as enjoying the countryside or seaside with your own home & conveniences right there as you travel !
This was fuking amazing to see two highly intelligent people a baby, a dog do what they did. I truly enjoyed this build, God bless y'all, this is my favorite all time, I got to get one🙏🏾
This, by far, was the best camper build I've ever seen. Smart placement of interior, exterior, roof top solar, and electrical and plumbing equipment. You, guys made this amazing. Oh, how I wish you could do a build for me. Great job, guys. And your wee one was adorable too 😊
I class myself as a really good carpenter and still think I couldn’t come close to the skills you two have shown in this video, absolutely amazing work and fantastic use of space, phenomenal guys brilliant work ❤
Not just a great build but great production. Much respect to you guys. You guys are killing it, all three. Even the Lad from the small pool LOL! I had kids at your age and I applaud you guys for killing it on this transit.
Guys amazing skills and dedication. Props to Katie by all means for supporting the project while taking care of a newborn. Finished my own project like 2 years ago and been digital nomading across Europe. Don't know your location and regulations but I'm 40kg under 3.5T on our best days with a way lighter build. Wish you all the best and hope you chose a powerful engine , a cold climate or flat terrain. Brake and suspension upgrade is a good idea on what to me appears to be a rather heavy build. I just want to help from my own experience.
Sorry if this is a poor translation-- I used google translate
Citroën Jumper L3H3(4)
Unfortunately I haven't got deep pockets like you must of had to build this .. love the use of space with the toilet that's just genius 👏👏 dream camper right there
I am not knocking this at all because I think it looks totally mint and professional standard throughout, but oh to have that space and set up is just perfect and I'm very envious of that, cracking build.
Christ allmighty how good are you guys😯that is what you call professional geniuses at work!!! I'm blown away😯 talk about home from home that is exactly what I want for my fishing sessions😊🎣 God bless Dan
I'm SO impressed. Really inspiring build. I'm working on a solo transit conversion right now and can respect the planning and effort that went into this -- especially all of the stuff off camera. Well done you guys & thanks for sharing :)
Best wishes from Germany, Berlin. I came across this video by chance. Perfectly done work. I like it a lot. I hope you enjoy it. As I don't speak or write English, I used the translator, I hope it translated it well. Chers Katie et Tim, Merci pour cette vidéo qui nous permet d‘admirer les magnifiques transformations réalisées sur votre Transit:votre travail très soigné mérite tous les éloges .Bravo !Amitiés de France .Michel
That was a beautiful job. I really like the layout too, it's an excellent use of the space. All those solar panels mean it should be off grid. Just the thing you'll need for the zombie apocalypse. 😊
I think you guys did better than a professional place like a shop could do. Your places is amazing now out of curiosity. Where have you all driven to by now? Since it’s all done? Where have you camped? You should now put the places you guys visit on your website I love what you guys did by the way very cool thanks fortracking every step for us I loved watching the video
I got so much hate for bonding and self tapping my solar panels down. Well, they've been up there for 2yrs and never moved. Enjoying your build so far. Thanks for sharing.
Putting the bathroom/shower at the back (half of the space) and having the other half as closet space, putting the bed on rails so it can move up out of the way and having the front seats on a swivel could've improved the build insanely.
Of all the video's I have seen, this is by far the one that is closest to what I would want. There is one big thing for me, personally, that doesn't make sense for you, and 2 opinion things that I could be swayed that yours is better. I would want a permanent desk instead of a dining nook. The optional is a easy raise / lower bed. But with how you made it, I am uncertain if that is better or worse compared to your fixed position. The other opinion is leaving the rear windows open, vs closing them off and insulating them. On the one hand privacy and better climate control. On the other more natural light. Regardless, this was effing phenomenal. You didn't do that stupid thing people do and call it ultimate...cuz lets be honest, literally none of them are ultimate. Every build is a compromise for space, functionality, weight, and often cost. And...and this is my favorite, you didn't talk. You let the work speak for itself. I wish I could subscribe twice.
Tim, where do you sit and eat? Tim: “On my toilet.” 😅 Also much props to Katie for helping and carrying baby at the same time. She’s a G for that! *The van built is top tier level. 👌🏼💯

Thank you! All the best with your build!
I agree 100%....what an amazing built.
That pull out toilet, and the use of the space underneath the permanently mounted bed is next level genius.
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I agree
This guy has to be a Master Carpenter. 95% of people could not do this conversion to the quality he has the ability to perform. AND mucho respect for Mom with her baby on her back whiel still contributing tons to this build.
He's got like 20 different drills lol
Well, he had a dog to help.
Notice how none of these videos are ever from a poor person trying to build something to actually survive in because rent is too high and they can't afford a home or anything else anymore.
@CheapSushi probably because they have bigger worries than making a cute "how to" video to share with the world 🤷♂️
did see the garage with all the tools :D
There is no way you could buy a conversion built by ANY manufacturer to compare with this. I am picking up my new Sprinter 4x4 tomorrow, and am going go do a conversion. This is the cleanest and tidiest garage I’ve ever seen. I believe that gave you the marvelous result.

I really love what you guys did with your bump outs. I didn’t add flares but copied the bed frame and I really appreciate y’all documenting it🙏
We're so glad you loved the design enough to incorporate into your van. Thanks for following along :)
I had NO idea so much work was involved. You did a beautiful job and I loved that the baby was involved in the build!!

I'm dizzy. Most people have no idea what goes into a van build! Impressive job, you guys!
Never seen such dedication in a project in my life. My compliments. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Well done guys and baby.
At least to say, it's impressive... The quantity and quality of your work are outstanding and inspirational! Congratulations!
