Samsung 25W vs Anker 323 33W Charger comparison

  • Anker PowerIQ 2.0 chip is smart enough to regulate across the USB C and USB A ports. When only one device is plugged in, the charger delivers up to 33W to that single device. Comparing to Samsung 25W fast charger, they both charge my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra at the same Super Fast Charging speed.

    Confused. Why does it show same time to charge in both the cases when the Anker one is faster? 😶

      The Anker charger is capable of producing 33W doesn't mean the phone is able to charge at 33W. As far as I am aware S23 Ultra charges at 25W and 45W not 33W. Something to do with the voltage and amp. I am not an expert. Hopefully, someone else who knows can explain better than me.

      @@SkyPerspective ohh!!! I always assumed a phone could do any wattage upto the max. I didn't know there were fixed points. Thanks for this information Sky!

      @@narutokunn I am not a hundred percent sure on this as this is based on my experience. I think both the phone and the charger negotiates the best optimum wattage.

      That's because in Anker 20W in USB-C and 12W in USB-A. It's not like 33W in one single port.

  • @rogerwilco5187
    @rogerwilco5187 5 місяців тому +2

    So it can deliver 33W when only the USB A port is used, or what?

    • @Caution40404
      @Caution40404 2 місяці тому

      It delivers 33W only when UCB C is used. If you're charging with both UCB C and USB A ports, USB C becomes 20W max.

      @@Caution40404 Huh? I wasn't asking about USB C and USB A used together, just what the USB A port alone is capable of supplying. Anyway, if anyone else is interested I've found out since then that the USB A port alone can also supply up to 33W, unlike some of the competition.

    Anker 323 şarj aletini aldım şimdilik memnunum. Aşağıya samsun 25w şarj adaptörü ile kayaslamasını ekliyorum düşünen olursa belki yardımcı olur.
    Samsung adaptör ile şarj;
    0dk %10 dolu
    28dk %62 dolu
    %12-%100 arası dolum 70dk.
    Anker 323 ile şarj;
    0dk %10 dolu
    10dk %30 dolu
    15dk %40 dolu
    20dk %50 dolu
    26dk %62 dolu
    30dk %70 dolu
    37dk %80 dolu
    50dk %92 dolu
    %10-%100 arası dolum 62dk. (veya 63dk)
    Sonuç: Anker 323 adaptör, Samsung 25w adaptörden 8dk ya kadar daha hızlı şarj edebiliyor.

    I think chargers have controllers built-in to protect themselves and the phones, and different models have different charging characteristics over a charging cycle. I would divide the total cycle into 3 parts and compare them: Fast initial charging: 0-50%, near full charging 50-90%, charging to full 90-100%.
    Some charger brands advertise not total charging time, but 0-50% in only 10 minutes or something like that for people in a rush.

      @@SkyPerspective Most chargers don't charge linearly, especially the high-power newer ones. They charge fast initially for people who need a quick fill-up, then slow down to avoid overshooting past 100% which is bad for the battery. That's OK for people who charge overnight while they sleep.

    • @SkyPerspective
      @SkyPerspective  11 місяців тому

      @woofinu Yes, you are right. The battery charges up at different speeds between 0 to 80% and between 80% to 100%. I'm just wondering why the speed from 80 to 100 is the same for both Anker 33W charger and Samsung 25W. Well, at least we know this Anker charger can charge as fast as the original Samsung charger.

    • @woofinu
      @woofinu 11 місяців тому +1

      @@SkyPerspective One thing we also have to look at is the battery temperature which also depends on the capacity and design of the battery. Samsung knows how to push the limit of their phones but Anker has to design chargers for a more generic phone which can be Samsung or Apple or Brand X.
