each of the active elements are a different length and I guess they fire off circularly. Not sure what exactly that makes it a good antenna. Do you fly long range and did you like it?
It's noticably better than my normal patch antennas with a decent beam width I'd say it's worth it for general flying and did well in my mid range 2km flights
I can imagine that the smaller element fires earlier since the wave is at a smaller magnitude at that point, with the longest firing off last, but then they would go off in the reverse order? dunno! interesting to be sure
