Just confriming you activated the paddles using the taser? 2012 and newer?
Do I need to by the Wiring Harness (Non-Heated Wheel) - 68196079AB
?? Because i can not find it anywhere
www.moparpartsgiant.com/parts/mopar-wiring-steering-wheel~68196079ab.html
High five to his neighbor for coming through.
👇
Hecky yeah. Without him I wouldn't have gotton that nut off
I wonder If I can do that on my 2013 challenger
Yes you can
Is this possible on a 2011 charger ?
Great video brother
Thank you
Having a hard time finding a place to order them. Any ideas on where I can?
Junk yard is gonna be about it. These got hard to find pretty quickly when the body changed in 2015
@@dasllamas alr thank you!
Can you do this for a police rt?
Not sure if the column shifter would get in the way but I dont see why not.
What website did you buy the parts from? Or do we just put the part name and serial number and just buy which ever we see first that has the numbers?
They are on a few sites if you google the part numbers I think one of the sites is mopar parts or something like that. I don't have the exact website right now sorry.
Look for a good ebay seller too if that is your thing
@@dasllamas I found them on a website all the parts are available still so it good because the first website I found to buy them said that they dont make them anymore and I low key got mad and though I wasn't going to be able to install them but in the website I found with all harness wires and parts the price goes to almost 500 without adding shipping and taxes if they also add those things
@@dasllamas btw can you do a video explaining how you activated the paddles so they could work
wait does it also work with the SE models because well I'm not rich and stuff and will only be able to afford the SE model as my first car so yeah....
Yes it will. Id look for 2012 or newer. The 2011 has the old evic on the dash
@@dasllamas okay I wanted to make sure thanks for the help hope you have a good day
Are all the parts and install process the same for the Chrysler 300?
Install should be similar. I part numbers are likely different
@@dasllamas how did you find the part numbers? I'm looking for Chrysler as well.
Can I add them to my 2012 rt?.?
Yes
Would you be able to do the paddle conversion to an 11 charger?
Tazer will not work on an 11
Is this possible with a 2015 dart?
I have the autostick manual mode but no paddle shifters
I think you have to use a program called AlphaOBD. Check out their facebook group and they guys there can walk you through it
@@dasllamas thanks so much!
If I have a heated steering wheel will I lose that function changing out the wiring harness, also are these parts interchangeable from dodge to chrysler.. I'd imagine it would but idk sometimes these guys surprise me with some next level bullshit 🤣
As far as I know they are the same harness. You have to buy the harness for the heated wheel so it will have the power wire for the heating elements
@@dasllamas okay sounds good thank you! I'm gonna just buy that single harness you reference in the video if I dont get the heated steering wheel it's not the end of the world but finding that back cover is gonna be a big issue 😅
@@michaelmicalef3345 check scrap yards my friend
This work for challenger too?
Yes, not sure of the model years though. You have to see that tazer supports or alpha OBD.
Great Video!!! Very detailed I love videos like this! Awesome job man!
Thank you!
Why you need a wire harness. All my friend did was add the back cover and the paddles then turned it with the tazer
Plugs for mine were different.
Could you modify the stock rear bezel to mount and work with the paddles? Im having a real pain finding a legit website with one as they have been discontinued and am considering modifying the stock one if possible to at least work untill i can find one. Any advice or knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
The way it screws together I dont thing you can just cut it open for the paddles
@@dasllamas most likely not but if i could add material onto it and drill out the proper holes i might be able to make something work, looking at the diagrams they seem almost identical though i cant find enough refrences to be completely sure. I have a replacement so i might end up trying at least,if it works i might make a video or get photos so that others can have a solution to not having the part.
@@drakkonthearcticfurdragon1535 dude lmk if you find one. Been looking for 6 months. Have EVERYTHING accept the backplate
@@Mopar_wyatt i havent found one but i actually did sucessfully modify the stock plastic bezzel to work with the paddles, if you have a good dremel to make the cleans cuts it can work, i also tried it with a heated wheel wiring harness i had as a backup and that also worked so if you can find one of those itll still work great. Ive actually had mine done for months now i have just forgitten to come back here to update my comment
@@drakkonthearcticfurdragon1535 the heated wheel wiring harness plugs into the paddles?
Just wondering: would this work on a 2016 3.6l Pentastar Jeep? It has a NAG1, so basically exact same tranny (i think). Steering wheel looks pretty much the same too...
Grand cherokee? I believe so. Check tazers website
@@dasllamas oops forgot, no: wrangler.
@@White.Elemant will not work on a wrangler. Tazer doesn't support the wrangler till the JL/JT
I seen another video with a dude saying it works for the 2011 is that true
The reason I said 12 to 14 is because you need the tazer to turn on the paddle shifters in the computer. Unless tazer now supports the 2011 i dont think it will work.
You think this will work on a Chrysler 300
Should be a similar idea. Double check part numbers and tazer compatibility with your car
The rear plastic bezel is discontinued?
Ya these parts are almost impossible to find now
@@dasllamas yeah I'm trying to source a full wheel from states that have lots of street sliding accidents LMAO 🤣
Can I do this in a 2011 pursuit package?
Tazer does not work on a 2011 sorry
For some reason I cant find any of the bezels I need like the rear cover or the bezels for the steering wheel. Ive searched by part number and all it says is "discontinued" can anyone help me out?
Unfortunately with this being a car that stopped production almost 9 years ago you will have to look for parts in a junk yard. Basically impossible to find new now
@@dasllamas damn, thanks anyway
My car has the heated steering wheel do u happen to have that part number?
Check the pinned comment. I think it may be there
Check the pinned comment. I think it may be there
Where can I buy the parts at and will this for sure work on a 2011
Will not work on 2011 because the tazer is needed to turn on the paddle shifters and the tazer does not work for 2011
dasllamas ok thanks
Will this work on a 2012 Chrysler
You would have to double check the support for the tazer on zautotech.com
Thank you ✊🏽
Lmk asap ! Thank you I have a 2013 Chrysler 300
Diffrent part numbers and if tazer doesn't work you can use alphaobd
Can someone post a link for the heated steering wheel variant of the harness? Can't seem to find it.
I believe this is the part number you need.
68196079AA
(68196079AB)
Is the new part that replaces the old one but verify that it is still the same plugs
the cover and wiring harness is discontinued... can anyone link theme from another source?
So far I dont think anyone has found them. Junk yard is your best bet
You just need the harness for the paddle shifter you don’t need to connect anything else to the car
Mines a 5 speed transmission and my paddle shifters only have 3 gears im comfused …
Ya thats not right. It will lock you out of shifting too low if you are going too fast.
@@dasllamas do you have any recommendations on how to maybe fix it idk
Does this work for the 2011 charger rt?
I have said it does not because the tazer does not support the 2011 charger to turn on the paddles but I had someone say the tazer works on their 11.
What was the total price for all the parts?
Was about 200 at the that I did it. Much higher now that the parts are hard to find
I cannot find the bezels in 2023, please help me!
Honestly surprised you found any of it. These have stopped production and imposible to find. Check your local junk yards
Can someone please let me know the part number for the wiring harness. I have a heated steering wheel and want the harness that works for paddles and heated wheel. Please help!

I did a video on the tazer. Here is the link.

Can i pit them in 2013 sxt
If you can find the parts. Yes you can
How much did you spend in all of that?.
Depends on where you get your parts but it is around 200
Where did you get yours? I can find pretty much everything except the rear bezel.
I have a 2012 chrysler 300 with the 8 speed trans. Does anyone know if this mod will work on my car?
I'm trying to know as well
