Does the blue led bulbs come with the lights how can I purchase them
Blue led are ones bruce gave me. I think they are just h1 bulbs

CTCharger totally agree. The projector / hid option for this gen seemed like such an afterthought.
@@dasllamas I hate that options are so scarce to non existent for the factory HID models.
For anyone that bought the wrong headlights just go to a audio shop and have the lights hard wired. I bought the wrong ones and just got them hard wired in, works perfectly!

Thanks! There are 3 popular designs out there. I enjoy these and they have one compatible with the stock HID setup. This was a big selling point for me even though a friend hooked me up with these

Wish the tube could be used as daytime running lights
It can. You just need to do some minor rewiring but although the tubes are bright at night they are barely seen in daylight

How bright are these compared to factory?
Also is there a way to make that LED portion the turn signal or any kits online for that?
Brightness is the same as stock as it reused the same bulb. The projectors give a clean light spread with a sharp cutoff at the top. The wires are open in the back so if you know what you are doing you may be able to rewire them to blink with the signal but that would have to be all custom work

So you can’t use your own after market headlight bulbs
There are too many variables to say. Some might work some might not
What kind of LED bulbs fit in these? I have a set but the guys installing it said that they don’t fit and didn’t get a great answer on what kind I should get. Think you can help me out? Great video btw!
These one specifically are the setup for hid. If you were going to go led I would buy the halogen kit. You can then get led bulbs for moritomo and diode dynamics to fit
I bought the same headlights but mine didn’t come with that yellow bulb that yours had pre installed
Could you please explain How to Wire the DRL bar as your daytime running light. I cant get it to turn on without my headlights being on. Or when its dark outside it dosent automatically come on
You will have to do a little wiring. Get a fuse called an "add a curcuit" will run you around 5 bucks on amazon. Get the one that is for the micro fuse and use the 10 amp fuse. Go into your fuse box and find an existing circuit that powers on when you turn on the car. Use the add a circuit fuse there. The existing fuse will plug into the slot in the add a circuit unit. Use the new 10 amp fuse in the new circuit you just created. You will then have to rerun the wires in the led tubes to this circuit you created. With led it does matter which side is positive and negative so if you hook it up and it does not turn on reverse your wiring. If done correctly the led light bar will turn on and off with your car.

Thinking about Getting these for my charger. Will the LED bars come on if you turn on the switch to turn on the yellow side markers so u can still kinda manually use the LED's as Day time running lights
They are tied in with the yellow side markers so you can manually turn them on.

So Dave, did you have any issues with the turn signals? Since in this video there was no mention of transferring the old turn signal bulb to the new housing... I installed a few hours ago and turn signal lamps appear to be dead or missing. There was no mention of turn bulb transfer in ANY videos. I have a 2011 charger se
ramon jones mine had signals in it already. If you don't have signals in it you may have to transfer them from the old housing.
Wym old housing? I didn’t have bulbs on mines either and I already installed them I was trying to figure out how to get them to turn on my signals
I saw the low and high beams working do you have a video showing the daytime running lights and blinkers

Does the led bar become the drl instead of the high beams when you install this or is there extra wiring that needs to be done?
Mike extra wiring. I bought the adda circuit plug in for the fuse box so I could wire it to turn on with the car. Sadly in direct sunlight the led bar is hard to see. I will get a video up showing how to wire it up. Couple weeks before it goes live. Still need to do the wiring myself.
Are there any where the led bar is a little easier to see?
Hey great video. I had these lights installed on my Charger but I noticed my fog lights are now always on when I drive during the day. Did you have this happen to you? Is it normal?
Nope. My fogs work independant from the headlights. The wiring harness is different from the fogs and headlights
do you know where you can buy the bulbs inside? or where you can buy the tube light? I have these headlights and the tube lights are slowly getting dimmer and one low beam light it out just cant find online what they are called and where to find them
Spyder headlights. Can buy them from carid.com. dont think you can buy individual parts though

This may be a bot question, but you only used the low beams out the factory projector??? It’s a mess for me because currently my passenger side low beam is out so I was gonna upgrade, Help me out...Great vid also
Low beams out of the factory projector is correct. If yours is not working you need to check the bulb and ballast.
dasllamas misconception on my part it’s actually an HID out and I know I’ll need the bulbs to do the projector upgrade do you recommend 6000k? Rumor is they get too hot for the projector lenses
@@MasSmokes i believe factory is around 5000. Have not heard issues of 6k being too hot. Some run as high as 9000
I installed my headlight but they are shining to low, which adjuster are used to move the light up?
Should be the one directly behind the light you are adjusting turn one direction to go up other way to go down
So I just completed this job and It’s saying my front turn signal lights are out, any help with that
Well first I didnt know our cars would tell us if a signal was out so thats cool. But to the solution. Check the connection and make sure the plug is fully seated and the lock is set. Second check the turn signal bulb and make sure it is not burned out. Are you using the incandescent turn signal bulb or an led bulb? Are they turning on at all or are they not lighting up at all? Are they lighting up for the parking lights?
For some reason the tube lights flicker a few times then turn off completely when engine is turned on how do i fix that?
Id check with Spyder. First I would double check the wires making sure they are secure
I have a question, i am looking to buy spyder lights for my 2011 charger, is there anything i can put on them to make them green? ( Green being my favorite color)
You would have to do some custom lighting work if you wanted the led light bar to change colors. You can also look at a product called diablo eyes i think. It is an led lighting kit you wire into your headlights. Involves baking you light housing to open it and wiring knowledge. You can also buy green led H1 bulbs to put into your high beams. Won't put out much light but you get the color.
Keep in mind many states green lights is reserved for military and you can be cited for displaying green while on public roads.
Dasllamas, need your advice. I have the same car, HID headlights per dealer. I want to install 2015+ charger replica lights for the 2014. I only see LED versions, no HID versions. Is it ok to go from HID to LED in this case?
I do like led lights as long as you buy quality ones. Whether if it is ok or not that is up to you. I have not done an led kit myself so I can't offer you any how to advice.
Does the bar light come on when the headlights are on?
They are tied to the running lights. I bought an add a fuse circuit to tue them to DRL. Have not installed this yet.

My turning signals aren’t working I wired everything and plugged in the light I was supposed to?
Are you using led turn signal bulbs? If so check the polarity of your wires. If they are backwards the led will not work.

They do not come with the kit. My hid are the ones that are factory on the car. White color no blue. About 5000k to 6000k color. No problems to report at this time
Do the DRL work with the switch on auto? I saw a review on Amazon that said they DRL don't work on auto.
They do not. You can rewire it if you have a little knowledge of wiring, they are all easy to access.
new subscriber, I have a question, I need to buy some ballast for a 2012 dodge charger, which must have 35 w 42 vac, what is the difference in 35w 85 vac, can you see a short or something?

Yes they are. The car is with a new owner but the lights are still working. No issues

Used some bulbs. Just order the correct kit for your car HID or halogen
Hey! I’m thinking of ordering these headlights but I have a few quick questions if you have the time. (I have factory HID lights). I haven’t gotten a chance to watch the entire video yet.
-Will I need to buy new high beams/turn signal bulbs or can I use my current ones? I read that I need to buy amber bulbs for the signals
-I currently use 6000k HID lights, do I need to upgrade to LEDs to match better with these headlights?
-Anything else I may need to purchase to complete the job of transferring to the new headlights?

It is plug and play with factory hid. Check the description for the link to the HID wiring instructions.

Do you know where I can find the side marker bulb. Like the whole component my head light was broken by a deer and was completely shattered.
Dealership will be easiest. Scrap yard will be cheapest.

On the running headlight can u change colors
These are white only

Id have to search for it but if the light housing has a large rectangular opening on the side it is for the hid. No opening then it is for halogen

@Shamkilla23 if you have halogen lights the color is yellowish. If you have hid the it is a clean white. You can go to the mopar website and pull up your build sheet using your vin.

I just installed these on my 14 charger and when I tested it everything worked. Got the bumper set back up and when I started the car the led bar flickered and then went out. Drl not working only head lamps working. Can anyone help with this?
Check connections. Make sure you didnt pinch a wire

Yes. You just have to find a aftermarket kit

If you currently have hid you need to buy the spyder headlight designed for the factory hid. Check the video description for the link to the HID install process
So if the car didn’t come stock with hid’s what do you do about the huge hole in the headlight
You buy the non hid kit. It wont have the hole

What size are the bolts on the headlight bracket ?
To remove the light housing? Can use either 8mm or I think it was a t20 bit

I do not use high beams. Between these lights and the xsprite fig lights there is plenty of light.
I just watched your wiring hid video and seen what I was missing and it was the hid control /housing piece on the side

If you have hid you need to return the halogen lights and get their hid set. I think they call them xenon or something like that

@@luisitomans22 I have never modified one before so I dont know. Check through the comments here I think there have been some that accidentally bought the hid kit. See if you can trade with them

So my driver side highbeam failed on my spyder headlight. No one seems to know how to fix....waiting at the garage i bought it from. Never worked from day one and I never noticed.
Well that is just crappy. Shouldnt be too hard to troubleshoot. Its likely the connection point.
@@dasllamas i literally had it to my dodge dealer (savage 61 pa) we cant help you because they are after market...so i took it to 3rd party dealer and they seem reluctant to work on it too. Why? Why wont they just take my money? How am i supposed to pass inspection if no one wants to service it?
Seems im going to be doing it myself and following your video. Are these the lights with the ballasts on the sides? Maybe it went bad? Or maybe like you said its just in the harness.
@@tapastrat this video is basic install. The link in the description is to the ballast portion of the install. You said it was the high beams not working? The high beams do not go through the ballast.

Are you talking about the vertical line? Not cracked. Its a line in the lense part of the design.
How does the turn signal work with these?
The yellow side marker on the outside edge flashes. Kinda wish the led tube flashed yellow but no such luck

@@gbull32 should be able to reach in and pop it out without having to take it all apart. If you have small hands it will be helpful

How do you adjust these
There should be 2 adjustment studs on the back of the headlight. One adjusts up and down other left and right.
8mm studs. 2 for low beams and 2 for high beam.

The red part itself? Radiator mount is what I've always called it. I'm sure there is a proper name for it

These lights look nice but they suck. They don't last!!! My led bar on the right went out. I called Spyder about getting a replacement they said I would have to buy a whole new unit. What a waste of money.
