Never thought about getting night vision till we discovered there's a group of people running around day and night harassing and occasionally stealing from folks in our mountains.
Thermal specializes in detection via thermal signature. Image intensification (nvg’s) is better for positive ID and being able to see in limited illumination settings
The cost limitations are real. If the market becomes over saturated and single tubes go down to around $1k then everyone will get them. Until then I’d rather buy a used car.
@@anotheryoutuber_ I run a couple of thermals for hog hunting in Texas and I’m looking at getting a night vision setup so I’m aware of the cost; I would like to hear a few pros and cons. Thanks for the advice of eating more carrots though.
@@chrisakafrench I just want them to try lol. I can’t imagine if they made a halfway decent pvs-14 that cheap even for 2k that is a Gen 3 thin filled. how many they’d sell.
@@chrisakafrench the cost to manufacture is high, however demand is growing and will continue you to. I’m not the guy, but I’m sure there is a Henry Ford of NVG’s out there that can figure out how to drastically lower costs of tube manufacture. Problem is tube manufacturers don’t want to lower the cost, because of how high demand is.

Vortex slowly unfudding itself 👍🏼
Great show, and yes I want more night vision shows and more NV vs thermals.
Noted! We'll see what we can do to make that happen!
I like hearing him say “teeyoobs”
40k on the table and still no quad nods ;)
Holy smokes guys this is exactly what I’m focused on purchasing right now. Thanks for this. Hoping to have mine by January
Absolutely! Thanks for listening and keep us posted!
you howling at the moon yet?
@@anotheryoutuber_ I’m literally driving to go night hunting as I type this lol check my channel out and you’ll see how it’s been going

There’s 24 hours in a day and we only see half the day. Why not see the other half (night)?
Please make thermal and NV gear/scopes
Other companies should take a lesson from Vortex when it comes to customer service.
You mean how they ripped off TNVC’s NV training cirriculum?
Bravo Six going dark.
Easily 45K bucks worth of stuff there! Phew. The night vision stuff is expensive too.
Thermal vs nods. Plz and thank you.

Nods vs Thermal’s por favor.
And thanks for the solid information guys.
it matters what you want to see and it takes way more money for thermal to do cool things. eat more carrots theyre still cheaper.

Where do you recommend purchasing NODS?
Wot is a ncgt&c less jargon please explain wot these are as a lot of us are learning and don’t know what you are talking about sorry if I’m stupid
Lots of great info. Have a TNVC PVS14 with 2800 FOM, and some DTNVS on order. But can you stop saying Teeoobs?
Is vortex going to offer NV?
Can vortex make a $1000 pvs 14
No lol

TOOBS?
or TEWBS
This dude clearly doesn’t know what is the purpse of film in the tube and why is that film there.
I know, I listened and he doesn’t even know what NEA is or GaAs.
He obviously knows more than you if he works for Vortex and is sitting at their podcast table.
Beware the elitist NV culture is real...resist their powers 🤣
